It?s Time 5
Melville?s Best Friend
Hey guys. The song is a duet: The woman sings first, and the guy's thie one singin' in italics. They both sing the chorus!!!! I still don't own the characters!!!!!!!
^_^ Enjoy!
WARNING: LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more talk of yesterday
no whisper
?Cause you chased the pain away.
all for you
The mem?ry was instilled so long
But you gave me strength to carry on.
You?ll carry on
A year.
She moved the paper she had finished working on to the ?done? pile, and picked up another document, trying her best to complete her task so she could leave.
Where had all the time gone? Not wasted time; no. Time with him was never wasted. She never had enough time with him.
In all the late night chats, in all the childish games, in all the romantic candle-lit dinners that led to frolicking under the Heavens, in all the kisses, she had never had enough. She supposed she never would.
How could they have met a year ago tonight? How? Where was she? Where had she been before he was there in her life? In her? What had she been before him? Nothing.
She had been nothing, and for the first time in her life, she felt that she was beneath the man she loved. There was no way she deserved him.
And yet, they were here.
Now, I fin?lly see your light
Shines for you
I know this path is right
ooooooooooo
No more choices there to make
Don?t chose
My heart is yours to take
take all my heart
She realized she was daydreaming, and started reading the statement again. In less than ten seconds, her thoughts were back on him.
He had quit the circus and joined the Preventers.
To protect her.
He was usually her guard during the day, but this week, Milliardo and Une had too few Preventers working on another case, and he had to work at an undisclosed location.
But then again, she never could get any work done with him watching her in her office. It was slow torture for both of them. The past few moths had been spent with crimson red faces and lots and lots of wishing.
She chirped as her clock beeped; signaling it was time to leave. A mountain of papers were left unfinished on her desk as she left for the night. Her secretary smiled as Relena left, because for the first time in 6 years, she looked happy.
On her desk was a calendar open to the current date, where there a large number circled in red resided. To all who knew her, it was the mark of the day Heero had left; 6 years from today. Her secretary walked into her office to pick up finished papers when she saw not a six, but a one.
I won?t leave your side
You will always be my pride
I?ll hold you through the night
And keep you til the dawn.
I swear that I?ll be true
In ev?rything I do.
My heart is now at rest?
?Cause of the love I?ve found in you
?Hey! How are you??
?Do you know how good it is to hear your voice, Relena? I?ve been thinking about you all day.?
A smile toyed with her lips. ?Me, too?Are you coming home early tonight??
?I can?t. Your brother?s got me on night detail again. This whole week it?s been the same?I?m so sorry, Lena.?
Her once jovial eyes shifted, and she was left with the fuzzy look of sadness. She would recover.
?Don?t worry, Trowa. They need you. Wake me up when you come home, okay? I wanna give you something.?
He smirked, ?Could you have managed to sound any more sexy than that??
?I could have, but my guards are giving me funny looks,? her eyes turned serious. She always told him in her most serious voice, ?I love you, Trowa.?
?I love you, too, Relena. Be safe, okay? I?ll see you tonight.?
She closed her cell and rode the rest of the way home in silence.
I?ll give you all I am
everything I am
I?ll return your faithful hand
so give me your hand
I?ll wipe away your tender tears
And be your strength through all our years
you can lean on me
The house was quiet, and she muttered to herself, mad that both her friends had work until the late evening. Sighing, she went to the kitchen to make a snack. When she noted none of the lights were on, she called to the Preventers to check the room before her.
He had said be safe after all. Be safe she would.
She made her way up to her room as they checked the downstairs. She was never one for darkness. She hated it, and the fact that she had to come home to it when Cathy wasn?t there made her stomach turn.
Her room was eerily quiet, and she stepped into it silently. Her hand moved swiftly to the light switch, where it refused to obey. She sighed and started to find her flashlight. A soft rustle sent the hairs on the back of her neck to stand at attention, and she turned around swiftly to see what the noise was.
There was, in the corner, a man. Her heart skipped a beat.
Two beats, even.
?You really shouldn?t come up here alone if it frightens you so.?
A small smile crossed played across her lips as she recognized the voice.
Forever we?ll be one
oohhhhh
Until our lives are done
And I?ll see you once more
And through the years we will be true
I will never stop loving you
no, no, no, no
?I?m a big tough girl. I can handle it.?
The shadow moved his hand and lit a candle in the blink of an eye. He proceeded to light three more while he talked to her.
?I thought I told you to be safe.?
?There is no safer place to be, Trowa, than here with you.?
?Can I quote you on that??
?No?It?s not true,? she walked to him and buried herself in his embrace, ?There?s no safer place than in your arms.?
Kisses found her forehead numerous times before he brought her face up to his. A button was pressed in the blink of an eye, and music started to play.
He offered her his hand.
?May I have this dance??
?I would be honored, good sir,? she said, placing her hand in his. They drifted around her room; their faces hidden in each other?s light. She closed her eyes as her head gently lowered itself to his shoulder, using it as a pillow. His hands strayed past their normal route, and she smiled, saying nothing. Surprised, he lifted her chin, questioning her with his eyes.
?Trowa, I have something I need to-?
He placed a finger on her rosey lips, and he spoke with his eyes.
We need to talk.
He led her to her bed, where he kneeled on the ground, taking her hand in his. Her eyes questioned him, thinking he didn?t want to sit next to her, and she patted the bed, smiling. When his eyes didn?t lose the concern she had seen appear earlier, she started to panic.
He was going to tell her he didn?t love her. He was going to break up with her on their anniversary?
?Relena, I-?
She hugged him tightly, starting to sob hysterically.
?Please don?t. Please don?t leave me. I don?t know what I?d do without you, Trowa, please??
No I won?t leave your side
You will always be my pride
I?ll hold you through the night
And keep you til the dawn.
He pried her off of him, and smiled.
That same smile washed away all her fears.
?I will never leave you, Relena.?
She gasped as she realized what he was doing.
?When we met one year ago tonight, I knew then. It took me a year to so this, though I should have that night.?
Her tears of panic were replaced with ones of joy.
I swear that I?ll be true
In ev?rything I do.
My heart is now at rest?
?Cause of the love I?ve found in you
?I love you, Relena. I love how you?re the last thing I want to hear before I sleep. I love how you?re the first thing I want to wake up to. I want to bury myself inside your being, and cover you with all the protection I can afford. I want to build my home with you. I want to have my children with you. I want to look back 30 years from now and kiss you with as much passion that I had way back when.?
Tears flew down her face, as she closed her eyes and listened.
?Relena, will you marry me??
Now I?m in your arms
So I?ll hold you tight
And I?m safe from all harm
You know I?ll be there for you
And I will be here to stay
Stay
Every day
Woah ev?ry single day
She opened her eyes to look at him, and laughed. She hugged him with all her soul, all her mind, all her strength, and she laughed as she cried.
?I love you, Trowa, yes. Yes, I?ll marry you.?
He kissed her. He kissed whatever he could reach. Nothing was off-limits. Everything about her was his. She continued giggling.
?What,? kiss ?is so,? kiss, kiss, ?funny??
?Well, two things,? she moved a finger to his lips to stop his fervent kissing spell. His mouth claimed her finger, and she giggled more.
?Hold on. Let me say this.?
He buried his head in her lap while she talked, and she played with his hair as he listened.
?Number one: My brother will not let us-?
?I asked him two months ago. He granted permission then.?
His hands found her thigh surprisingly tempting.
She moaned with his touch. ?Well that saves time? The other? Will you stop?.My word, that?s enough to send me over the edge.?
He raised his eyebrow.
?Shush. Now, sit,? she patted the bed, and switched positions. She smiled as she got down on one knee.
?Trowa, I??
?Oh my word.?
She blushed. ?I was going to wait a few days, but I think now is a good time.?
He laughed. Hard and long. This was too much for him.
I won?t leave your side
You will always be my pride
I?ll hold you through the night
And keep you til the dawn.
?Trowa Barton?Bloom?.Whatever your name is??
?Pick one. It?ll be your last name, too.?
She giggled, and proceeded. ?Trowa. I met you a year ago tonight. Since that day, you?ve saved my life on more than one occasion. You?ve helped me see the path I was meant to walk, and cleared it for me. You gave me your heart and your soul, and asked for nothing in return,? she started to cry, her voice cracking with every sentence.
?I return to you my heart, my soul, and offer you so much more than that. I love you, Trowa. I know I always will. Please, baby. Will you marry me??
He kissed her.
Their tongues danced together; mating in their own way as they breathed into one another. Lips moved across lips as fevered pent frustration had finally met its match. Gasping for breath, Relena pulled away, only to have his lips find her jaw, her neck, her collarbone?.A very unwelcome material separated him from what he needed; what he craved.
Slow hands worked at pearl buttons, and heated kisses began again. Her hands worked at his shirt as well, lifting it only to reveal? His blasted undershirt. Irked, she sighed at him. He kissed her harder in amusement.
Her shirt was quickly beside his on the floor, and he quickly found that her bra, though very fancy and pretty, was not fun for him in any way. He moved his hands to her back, searching for the clasp, when she giggled.
?It clasps in the front??
He nibbled at her neck to show his gratitude and displeasure. She moaned at his touch; fire and lightning caressing her skin almost threatening to rip her apart. She memorized every touch, never knowing her skin could feel such pleasure.
Her bra removed in a few swift movements, he wasted no time ravishing her exposed buds that called to him. Her hands dug into his hair as the pleasure he was causing her was insurmountable. She moaned his name as his teeth found the peaks of her mountains, and cried when he slowly teased her.
?Not fair,? she whispered.
?Shhh, my love.?
She, being determined, slid his shirt off , and worked her shaking hands to his jeans. He caught her quivering appendages, and kissed them.
?We don?t have to.?
?I want to. This night was made for us.?
I swear that I?ll be true
In every?thing I do
My heart is now at rest?
?Cause of the love I?ve found in you
His moth found hers once more, and her hands continued their journey, suddenly steady. His jeans soon joined the pile on the floor when he noticed she had yet to remove her skirt.
?How annoying,? he stated with a smirk.
She giggled, then gasped as his hands slowly roamed her thigh, tickling them in ways unimaginable. Time stopped as his hands found the button of her skirt (from the inside, mind you) and slowly removed one of her last articles.
Clad only in their underwear, the lovers started exploring bodies once more. Hands roamed over torsos, finding muscle, finding ticklish spots, traveling and memorizing one another. His hardness pressed against her still-burning thighs and she gasped.
She smirked as he placed a kiss on her belly button, and looked into her eyes for permission, then brought his face to hers, kissing him tenderly.
He could get used to answers like that.
They quickly removed the last barriers, and before he moved into her, he gazed upon her beauty. God had made her just for him. With that thought, he slowly slid into her, causing her to moan. Her legs wrapped around him, forcing him deeper into her.
?Had practice??
?It was hard getting over him, Trowa. REAL hard.?
?I?ll have to show him up then, won?t I??
She kissed him. ?You already have.?
With that, he thrust into her-- harder. She gasped at his sudden movements, and found herself meeting him for the next stride. Their hips met each other over and over, molding together as if they weren?t having sex.
Truly, they were making love.
She screamed his name as he thrust into her for the last time before shuddering. She lost herself to white oblivion as she climaxed. Panting, she moved closer to him, kissing him chastely before speaking:
?I want to be your skin, Trowa.?
He smirked and raised an eyebrow.
?That can be arranged.?
She giggled as he moved in for ?the kill?.
Hmmm?..
There?s no more talk of yesterday
No more talk of yesterday
?Cause you chased the pain away
In my arms you?ll always stay
The mem?ry was instilled so long
Every night I will hold you.
But you gave me strength to carry on.
So carry on.
?Do you want something from the vendor??
?No. I?ll go, though.?
?Trowa, dear. It?s across the street. I can do it alone.?
?I?d rather go. You need your rest.?
She smiled. ?I?m fine.?
Worry crossed his features as he looked at her, and he brought a hand to rest on her chin.
?Are you okay??
?I said I'm fine, Trowa. What more do you want from me??
?I know you better than you think I do.?
She sighed, and leaned her head on the shoulder she knew so well.
?You see that boy??
He nodded.
?I want our son to grow up to be as carefree as that. I want him to never have any fears or concerns, and grow up happy.?
?You?re making sure that our son will be fine. Though the new bill that was passed last week could come back to haunt you.?
?Macey?s a moron. He wouldn?t know a loophole if it bit him, and by the time he does find it, I will have had the bill amended. No worries. War is a thing of the past.?
?A thing of the past,? he repeated.
?Christian will grow up safe, don?t you think??
?Christian? Is that what you want to name him??
?Yeah. Do you like it??
He touched her stomach. ?I love it.?
?I?m hungry. Are you sure you don?t want a hotdog? Best ones in all the universe.?
?Be careful,? he kissed her.
?I always am.?
?Two months pregnant, and already sassy.?
?I love you, too,? she stood up to leave, when a ball was kicked their direction.
Trowa caught it as a little boy ran to retrieve it.
?Hey! You look like a daddy!?
He smiled, and tossed the ball back. She giggled as she started to walk off, hearing:
?My daddy can?t play with me today? Will you??
She turned to see him stand and walk with the boy. Tears came to her eyes as she strolled to the vendor.
?Two, please.?
She watched the world absent-mindedly as she waited. Her gaze drifted to a little girl who was jumping rope. She smiled as the girl sung, unable to pronounce her r?s.
Her smile faded as she saw a pole suspeneded by a wire above the girl. Constructors were screaming at her, but she didn?t seem to hear.
The wires holding the pole were slowly breaking.
Hmmm?
It?s ?cause of our love
our love
The love I?ve found in you
our love
I?ll give you my heart
Ev?ry day
Every day
Oooohhhh
The love I?ve found?
Relena gasped as she watched the girl, who Relena presumed was deaf, not only not move, but continue to sing happily. Before she even knew what she was doing, her legs had taken her to the girl?s side, and her arms acted of their own free will; pushing her to safety.
She felt the pole hit her, and she slipped away from the world she knew so well.
People crowded around her, and suddenly, she came to. Her eyes didn?t allow her to focus, and she tried desperately to call her husband. Her voice wasn?t working. Someone was holding her, and she cried. She knew it wasn?t Trowa, and she didn?t feel safe.
Her eyes finally gave in to her demands, and she noticed all the panic-stricken people.
She noticed all around her.
But it was when she noticed who was holding her that her body shut down.
Heero Yuy refused to let her go.
He couldn't.
It was time...
In you.

In you.
