Dream or Reality? (Part 1)

Darkness surrounded him. The abyss of night. A shattered life floating down the path of nothingness. Somehow he thinks, somehow he breathes.
"Am I alive or am I dead," he asks.
His voice echos in the vacant space and infinite time. Images of Jet, Faye, Ed, and even Ein filled his head. Images of Vicious, as well as Julia, fill his mind. Death it seems to be only a reflection of life.
Faye laid on a couch in the Bebop. Crying, pessimistic thoughts clouded her mind. She grasped a pillow and cried into it. She felt the metallic arm of Jet rub her shoulder.
"You all right Faye. I haven't seen you this upset in a long time if ever. Don't tell me you're this emotional over Spike."
"And if I am? He never gave a damn for us. Only for what he wanted to do. I thought he didn't care for the past or anything like that? He changed when he met up with Julia again.," Faye said.
Tears rolled down her cheek and dripped off from time to time. Jet tried to comfort her but all attempts seemed to fail. He eventually stood up and began to walk out of the room, when he was stopped by Faye trying to say something.
"What is it now Faye," Jet asked sternly.
At first only a rasp interpretation of what she was trying to say came out. She cleared her throat and said, "I want to know if he is dead. I'm going out."
A bright light fractured Spike's dark world. Cold, sweating, and lying in a bed, Spike looked out to see the usual atmosphere of Mars. It first came to him as a blur but his eyes focused and he tried to figure out where he was.
"Is this another part of my dream or is it real," Spike said and sat up in his bed.
The walls of his room were slowly deteriorating and termites had made a home of it. The tiled floor had a floral design, which had been earlier stained with blood. The line between a dream and reality has been drawn and blurred. What will part 2 hold for Faye, Spike, and Jet?
Until next time.
