Well I think I am going to finish this story before I continue on with my Too Far Gone story. Comments! and please read my other story and give me comments on that story too. Thanks!
one month later
Heero and Relena didn't make any contact for a long time. Most of the time, Relena was gone on a business trip. The scary thing about it was that she volunteered to go on those trips and Heero came to a conclusion that she was doing it to stay out of his way. The second reason was because she asked to have Jacob to be her guard on all of her trips. That drove Heero crazy even though he didn't show it.
Jacob was so well in his class that he moved all the way up to Heero's rank. He couldn't take this. He never meant to hurt Relena that way but just those little words caused his whole world to come down. If that wasn't bad, then this was. Everyone loved Jacob. Even Wufei showed favortism towards Jacob. Now that was bad....
Heer looked up his computer for information on Jacob.
"Jacob Mcquire......18 years old....no background info."
This was funny. No background info. He seems suspious. "I should have checked this earlyer."
He sighed and put his head on the desk.
"Hey Heero." said Duo as he walked into his office. Heero had his head on the desk.
"Duo get the hell out." he said without lifting his head.
"Gezz what's wrong with you?"
"Everything."
"Are you alright?"
Heero brought his head up and he gave Duo the best death glare he had left in him and of course it scared the shit out of Duo.
"Uh..well I won't stand in your way for long but isn't Relena coming back home today?"
"Hnn..so."
"So you have to go and pick her up."
"What? Why?"
"I got a call from Jacob saying that he had to stay back for a few hours but he'll be back tonight. So he asked if YOU could go pick her up."
"I don't have anytime. To much work."
Duo looked around the room. "You have no papers on your desk, you even have no work till next week since you did everything earlyer! Now don't you tell me that you don't have time!"
"I just did."
"Buddy, there really is something wrong with you." He walked over to the desk picked up Heero's keys and threw it at him. "Hurry up and go."
"Who said that I have to listen to you?"
"No one..but what will Une say about this?"
Heero groaned and grabbed the keys from Duo's hands. "I'm just doing this because I can't lose my job. I"m going to kill Jacob for making me pick her up."
Heero walked down the hall and Duo thought for a minute. "Uh..maybe I should come with you so you know...wont' do anything stupid."
Relena walked out of the shuttle with camera's flashing in her face.
"Miss Relena. How was your meeting with China's minister?"
"Miss Relena. Did your meeting with China's minister scare you in anyway after your incident with Mr. Blaire?"
"Miss Relena."
"Miss Relena."
Relena ignored all of the people. All she wanted to do was go home and get some sleep, but only one question actually got into her head.
"Miss Relena. Is it true that you are dating a new recruit for the prevernters?"
Relena just kept walking trying to get that question out of her head. She and Jacob were having a great time seeing each other. They have been going out for about a month now and she was having a great time but there was something in the way from letting her get as close as she wanted to Jacob but she didn't know what.
She was pulled out of thought from Duo's happy call and..
"Heero?"
"Hey Lena! How was your flight?"
"It was great. What are you two doing here?"
"We came to pick you up of course."
"Oh yeah, i'm sorry."
Heero just grabbed her bags and took them to the car leaving Duo and Lena. Duo just shrugged at her and they followed.
"Hey Lena, are you hungry?"
"No i'm fine Duo, I had something to eat on the plane."
Heero drove the car up her driveway and took her bags out from the trunk and carry them up to her room without saying a word and Relena noticed this all.
She entered the house and found Hilde already there and got a big hug.
"Hey girl! How was your trip?"
"It was fine. Gosh it is great to be back home."
"Yeah and eating your own food, speaking of food can I grab something from your kitchen?"
Hilde hit Duo's head but Relena just laughed.
"Sure go ahead Duo."
He ran into the kitchen and Heero came back down. Relena and Hilde sat down on the couch and started talking about Relena's trip when the door bell rang. Heero went to answer it and Jacob walked right in.
"Hey Heero. Relena how was your trip?"
Relena smiled. "It was fine."
"Sorry I couldn't come back with you. I had to meet someone."
Duo came back with a plate with a sub sandwich on it.
"Hey Jacob." he said with a mouthful of food.
"Hi Duo. Um..Relena."
"Yes?"
"Can I take you out to eat? I really need to ask you something very important."
Right there, food spilled out of Duo's mouth and he just stared and Hilde's eyes went wide. Heero didn't know what was going on and Relena didn't either.
"Sure."
"Great. Then let's go."
Relena grabbed her coat, said good bye and left.
After Duo and Hilde heared the car roll out of the driveway, they jumped up and ran towards Heero.
"Heero! Are you just going to watch him take her?!" shouted Hilde.
"Buddy you can't just give up!" shouted Duo.
"What the hell are you all talking about?" shouted Heero.
Hilde and Duo stared at Heero like he was stupid.
"You, you don't know what he is about to do are you?" said Hilde.
Heero just looked at them. "No I don't."
Duo smaked his forehead. "For once I am smarter then you."
"What the hell is going on!?" Heero yelled.
"Heero." said Hilde. "Jacob is going to ask Relena to marry him!"
Relena and Jacob got out of the car when they got back to the house.
"So Jacob, what was it that you wanted to ask me?"
He scratched his head and he started to shake.
"Uh..." he dug deep into his pocket and pulled out a little box. Relena started getting nervous too and she hoped it wasn't what she thought it was.
He got down on his knee and opened the box. "Relena Darlian. Will you..marry me?"
Heero was watching from the window and he was just about to run out that door and knock Jacob but Hilde stopped him. He looked at her and she shook her head. He turned back to watch.
Relena was in shock and Jacob was still wating for an answer.
Her mouth went up and down but no words came out.
"Well?"
"Jacob I..I...I can't."
"What? Your joking right?"
"I"m sorry Jacob. I had a great time going out with you and all but, there is.....someone else that I love. I love Heero"
Heero gave a big smile and he didn't care if Duo and Hilde saw, which they did, he was happy.
"So..you still love him even though he doesn't care about you?"
Relena knew he was rightbut.."Yes. I'm sorry Jacob."
He put the ring back into his pocket and looked at Relena with sad eyes.
"I'm sorry that I have to do this but." the next thing you know it, he hits Relena in the back and he catches her before she hits the ground cold.
Heero was watching this and ran outside with Duo following while Hilde ran to call the police.
"You Bastard!" Heero punched Jacob right across the face and then kicked him in his crotch and Jacob fell down groaning. Duo grabbed Relena and tried to wake her up while Heero kept on kicking Jacob's ass.
"Heero, you really shouldn't have done that." He hit Heero across the face and then hit him in his stomach. Heero fought back and gave an uppercut and Jacob fell back down. Heero grabbed his gun and pointed it at Jacob but heared more gun clicks from behind him and he looked from the corner of his eye. There were more then five guys with all of there guns pointing at Heero's head. Two guys where holding Relena and more where pointing there guns at Duo who had his hand up and a bruise on his right cheek.
Jacob got back up and rubbed the blood off his lip with the back of his hand and started laughing.
"No wonder you have no background. This was a set up wasn't it?"
"Gee Heero. I thought you smart. It took you that long to figure it out? You must be getting slower."
"Your a jackass Jacob!" shouted Duo but was kicked in the stomach by one of the men.
"We'll talk more when we get back but for now, I suggest you let go of your gun or..." Jacob clicked the gun at Relena was still unconsious.
Heero slowly put his gun down and kicked his gun toward Jacob. He knew a whole bunch of ways to get out of this mess but he couldn't risk Relena's life. He saw black after feeling someone hitting him in the back of his neck.
Oh my god! Now the kick ass action of the story. lol. please give me comments!!!!!
