Finding Out The Hard Way (7)

Okay...I have nothing to say so...yea...
Duo walked out of the shower with a towel around his waist. He whistled and gave a big stretch.
"It feels good to be acting like it used to be. Just spending night's over at Lena's and acting single."
"Wufei told you not to get married."
Duo jumped back at the sound of Heero's voice and his towel fell off reveling himself. Lucky for him, Heero had his eyes closed like he always did so Duo hurried up and got his towel back on.
"Damn you. Don't scare me like that! You scared the towel right off me....literaly!"
Heero was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed.
"What did that guy look like to you?"
"You sure bring something out immediately."
"What did that guy look like to you?" said Heero again with an irritaded voice.
"Well if your asking me if I was checking him out then no but he had let's see..um...really light brown hair and light blue eyes. You hardly see guys with that kind of identidy."
"That's not what I meant. Did he look suspecious?"
"He looked pretty normal to me. He looked just like any person his age would act....except for us that is." Duo said as he got dressed in the bathroom. He came back out braiding his hair. "Look buddy, lay off will ya? I'm mean Lena hasn't had any fun in her life with all of these polictics and work and meetings. I think it would be good for her if she goes out with a guy for once and feel her age again."
"If she does that then she could get killed. She has to much to offer then die going out."
"Are you saying that for her or for you?"
Heero just stared.
"I know it hasn't been easy to do things after the war and all but you have to move on. Nobody is out to get us. The war has ended and there is nothing left but peace that we and Relena worked hard to accomplish."
Duo put his hand on Heero's shoulder.
"She can't wait forever for you Heero. She has to settle down someday with a guy who can actually love her and care for her."
Heero pushed Duo's hand away. "I have no feelings for her. She can do whatever she wants as long as she is safe."
Duo sighed. "Never mind. Nothing will ever break through to you. Don't you have a meeting to go to or something?"
"Hnnn"
"Hey Heero."
Heero stopped but he didn't turn around.
"Just..think about what I said alright?"
"What's the use of thinking about something that has no meaning to you?"
"Just do it!"
Heero walked out but shouted down the hall.
"I can see why Hilde lost interest in you."
Duo thought about what he meant and then turned totally red.
"I least I put it into use!"
Relena was walking down the hall looking over her notes when Duo came out screaming.."At least I have a girl to show it tooo!" He turned around and bumbed in to her.
"Hey Lena! I just uh.."
"I don't really think I want to know."
"Hehe, yeah, hey are you going to have some breakfast?"he asked as they walked down the stairs together.
"Sorry Duo, I have an early meeting today but go ahead and enjoy it yourself."
Duo made a pout. "But it's no fun eating by yourself."
"Then go home and eat with your wife." said Heero as he handed Relena her coat. "It's snowing outside and I know you women take a long time deciding what to wear so your just going to wear this one whether you like it on not."
"Hey that's no way to treat a lady." said Duo.
"Looks who's talking."
"Hey don't get me started you virgin boy!"
"Please! Stop! I dont' want to hear this. I just want to get to my meeting on time."
Heero glared at Duo and Duo glared back but Relena was already walking out the door so Heero just followed her.
"Wait...did you say it is snowing?" asked Duo.
Relena opened the door and snow came rushing in and she closed it as fast as she could.
"I don't know Duo what do you think?"
"Uh..I dont' want to walk to work in the snow so can I catch a ride with you?"
he said with puppy dog eyes.
"No. There is not room." said Heero as he put on his jacket.
Duo made a 'what the hell face'. "Your driving in a fricken limo! How can there be no room?!"
"Easy, I say there isn't."
"Oh Heero shut up. Come on Duo."
Duo grabbed his jacket and they all got into the limo and drove to work as a figure watched on the top of a building near by.
"The Dove is leaving the driveway..........right." Once again the figure banished from sight.
