Okie Dokie Smokie. Let's get this story on the road.
Duo came walking up the road heading for Relena's mansion. It was almost 9 pm.
"Damnit. Why does Relena have to live up on a hill? Oh maybe cause she doesn't have to walk to get somewhere or have to get kicked out of her own house with no money and ask a friend if they she could stay over just because SOME PEOPLE DON'T APPRECIATE OTHER'S UNIQNESS!" he shouted out.
He finally made it up her driveway but stopped and pulled out a cigiratte.
"*puff* It's not my fault if I have a big mouth. *puff*"
He looked at his cigiratte and threw it on the ground.
"Hilde told me to quit smoking and here I am, standing right outside Relena's driveway smoking. Damn, I have to change everything for this woman! Maybe Wufei's right, I shouldn't have gotten married."
Duo's eyebrow raised.
"Did I just agree with Wufei?! Okay forget that comment. I'm not that lame to actually want to agree with that woman hater.....gosh, I probably am screwed up."
Duo continued to walk to Relena's door when he saw someone stop right outside her house and look up.
'I wonder who he is.' thought Duo.
"Hey! Can I help you?" he said as he walked toward the man.
The man was a very handsome guy and looked the same age as him.
"Uh yeah. Is this really Miss Dorlian's address?"
"Yes it is. Why. Do you have some business here?"
The man pulled out Relena's phone.
"Yeah, it seems that she came down to where I work with another guy who looked very quiet."
'Heero and Relena must have gone out to eat.' Duo thought.
"and she left her phone there. I looked for any identification on it but it only came up with this address." the man started to smile. "Who would have thought that Miss Relena Dorlian was the person."
"Yeah yeah yeah, its your lucky day." said Duo as he and the man headed for the door.
DING DONG.
Relena opened the door.
"Oh Duo. What are you doing here?"
"It's a long story. Can I come in?"
"Come on in."
She was about to close the door when she saw the other person standing behind Duo.
"Oh, it's you."
"The names Jacob."
Relena blushed. "Oh I'm sorry, where are my manners? Duo you go ahead and go inside and make yourself at home."
"Alrighty."
Relena stepped outside and closed the door.
"So Jacob, how can I help you?"
"Uh..well Miss Dorlian."
"Relena is fine. Besides we are the same age right?"
The man smiled and pulled out her phone. "Here. You left this on the table when you and your boyfriend left."
Relena took the phone. "Thanks but that wasn't my boyfriend."
"So your boyfriend is someone else?"
Relena blushed again. "No, actually i'm still single."
"Your kidding?"
"Nope."
Jacob thought for a second and smiled. "I know that I am just a waiter and your a high politician and all but if your not doing anything this Saturday..then maybe we...could.."
"Are you asking me out?"
"If you want to." he said as he dug his hands into his pocket which made him look even more handsome then he ever looked before.
Relena smiled. "I'd love too."
Jacob's smile grew even larger. "Great! I'll see you then." He headed back to the streets when he turned around.
"I did mean everything that I said back at the cafe." she shouted and then he ran out of sight.
Relena smiled and shook her head and walked back inside where Duo was talking to Heero on the couch.
Duo was shouting out what he had gone threw with Hilde because of him but Heero just sat there in silent with his arms crossed and it looked as if he wasn't listening to a word that Duo said and Relena was sure that that was what he was doing.
"So you got into a fight with Hilde....again."
"You make it sound as if this always happens."
"That's because it does!" said Heero.
"Hey so you were listening to me."
"No I was just thinking about why you are here and i'm pretty sure why. Hilde couldn't stand you any longer and kicked you out didn't she?"
"HEY! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"
"You opened your big mouth."
"I couldn't help it!"
"To bad for you then."
"Hey come on. Shut up both of you." said Relena. "Duo if you need a place to stay then you are welcome to stay here as long as you like."
Duo jumped up and hugged Relena and kissed her. "Thanks so much Lena. Hey you don't mind if I go get something from kitchen do you? I didn't eat anything all night."
"Sure go right ahead. Just make sure there is something there for us in the morning."
"Gotcha." he said as he entered the kitchen.
Relena walked over and sat down on the couch across from Heero.
"Why did you let him stay here? He deserved what he got."
"You would probably be wanting a place to stay too if you were in his position."
"Never."
"Well that was a short way to put it."
Heero got up and headed for the stairs.
"Going to bed already?"
"You should be going too. You have an early meeting tomorrow."
Duo came back out with a whole bunch of food in his hands and with a ham sandwich his mouth.
"So what took you so long to come back in with that guy that was outside?"
he said when he put the food down on the table in front of them.
"Well, he gave me my phone back and well you would never believe this but...he asked me out."
Heero was about to walk up the stairs but stopped and turned around and listened.
Duo smiled with some of his sandwich in his mouth.
"That's great! Now you can finally go out and act your age. Good for you."
"Yeah, he seems like a pretty nice guy and he is very cute too." she said with a giggle.
"Your not going." said Heero as he came back.
"Who ever gave you permission to say if I could go out or what?"
"Nobody and your not going."
"Sorry Heero but you can't stop me."
Duo just watched the two argue while eating like he was at the movies.
"Have you ever met this guy before?"
"He seemed pretty nice to me when he was flirting with me at the cafe."
Heero toke some time to get this in and then his eyes widened.
"Wait..is this that waiter?"
"He came back to give me my phone that I left there and asked me out."
"You don't even know him."
"Why do you think I am going out?"
"Your still not going."
"I'm going whether you like it or not."
"UUUUUU Heero, are you getting jealous?" said Duo.
"What?! No i'm not jealous. I'm just trying to keep her safe. If something happens to her then.."
"Then what?" Then what Heero?" Then you would have to go back to being the Perfect Solider? So you would have to go back to killing and fighting?"
Heero was quiet and Duo stopped eating.
"The only reason why you need me is so that you can stay the way you are now. I think I liked you better when you were the way you used to be. At least you didn't act like an older brother to me. I already have one and I don't need you to be one either."
Heero just stared at Relena.
"I'm sure you are capable of keeping yourself from turning into the perfect solider. To me you still are a perfect solider. You don't need me to help you because i'm sure you have everything under control. Like Wufei says it, you weak human. Why do you need me for Heero?" she said as she walked up to her room leaving Duo and Heero.
Duo's mouth opened wide and food came out. "Hey buddy, did you say something to her to make her say that? Why would she think about those things?"
Heero closed his eyes and clunched his fists.
"You wouldn't understand Relena." he said in a whisper.
