Finding Out The Hard Way (1)

Well I have nothing eles to do so here is another story that I came up with.
This fic is probably going to be more serious then my other stories so bear with me. Give me comments!!!!!!!!
"And that ladies and gentlemen, is what I believe is the only way to actually obtain peace so we won't have a disaster like the 'Mariemaia Incident' again." Relena Dorlian said as she concluded her speech that was live on almost every news channel in the nation.
The audience rose up and cheered and applaused. Relena nodded her head as her thanks and walked to the back of the stage where she was greeted by a grinning Duo.
"Lena that great! I loved it!"
"Thanks Duo."
"It was so great that I didn't actually fall asleep like I always do."
Quatra came up behind Duo and laughed. "The scary thing about it is that he is actually telling the truth. But I must admit, that was the greatest speech I have ever heard. Now we can all go on with our lives like normal people."
Relena nodded. "Yes, I think this is for the best of everyone."
Wufei came up from the stage.
"Miss Dorlian, are you ready to talk to the press and have your pictures taken for those weak idiots outside who won't leave unless you give me permission to kill them. God damnit! Most of them are weak onnas!"
Duo scratched the back of his head. "Geez Wufei, calm down. Keep your panties on."
"Maxwell! I consider you for a weak onna also! With your onna like hair!"
"Nani?!"
Quartra gave a sweatdrop as he blocked Wufei and Duo from hurting each other.....mostly Wufei.
"Calm down you guys. We don't need a fight right here especially since Relena gave that speech."
Heero came out from behing a curtin. He was still his usually self, cold and silent and he kept his gun where ever he went. Wearing his black jeans but for once he wasn't wearing a green tank top. He was wearing a white shirt with his preventer's jacket on top. ( I would just think of seeing Heero dressed like this.....god that is sooooo hot! lol)
"Relena. People are waiting."
'So like you Heero. Never much talk.' thougth Relena. "Alright i'm going then. See you all later at the office."
Relena walked outside the doors with Heero right behind her. People started flashing their camera's in her face while she went up to the microphone.
"Miss Dorlian. Do you really believe that this time, there won't be anymore wars?" said one reporter.
"As you heard in my speech, I do believe that this could happen. I can't only keep talking about peace and wish that it would happen. The people are the ones who make it happen. You can't just watch me and believe that everything would be alright. You all have to actually do something to keep this peace that was so hard to be obtained."
The reporters wrote down her comments and she picked another person to ask a question.
"Miss. Dorlian. Is it the rumor about you fancing a gundam pilot true?"
Everyone stopped talking and listened to what she had to say. Relena began to feel a little hot. Heero hadn't moved an inch since he just stood there behind her.
"I love all the gundam pilot's and they are all my friends and that is mostly the only relationship that I have with them. That is all for today."
Heero took his cue to walk infront of Relena and lead her through the crowd of reporters who still had questions to ask. He got her into the limo which was now painted black (thank god) and got in after her. He gave Pagan the okay to leave.
Relena stared out the window on her side while Heero just tapped away on his laptop.
'I wonder what Heero was thinking about what when that reporter asked that question.' she thought.
She was pulled away from thougth when she thougth she heard Heero say something.
"Excuse me."
"I said nice speech but I guess you were to busy looking out the window." He didn't even look up from his laptop.
Relena frowned and started out the window again.
'It's been one year now Heero but you still act as if the war is still going on. Can't you see that it is over?' she thought again.
Pagan pulled up into the parking lot of the Preventer's HQ. He helped her get out with Heero right behind her.
People waved and said 'Hi's' and 'Great speech' as she walked to her office. She gave them all a polite thank you and walked into her office and Heero continued on to his.
She sat down on her desk and looked at a picture on her desk. It was a picture of Heero was he sat on the shoulder of Wing Zero after the 'Eve Wars' two years ago. Duo managed to take it while he wasn't looking and gave it to Relena on her birthday.....the same birthday when he blew out her candles for her.
She still couldn't help but smile on what happend that day. Dorothy came walking in.
"I saw everything and you were just great." she said as she sat down on a chair.
"Thanks, but thank goodness it is over. I'm so tired that I feel like I could sleep for one month." she said as she pulled out a asprin bottle from her desk and took one.
"May I suggest you take a vacation to someplace far away?"
"You know that sounds so good but you know I can't go. To much work. Besides Heero wouldn't let me go either. He thinks that maybe I could get kiddnapped again and that I would be neglecting my work." she sighed.
"That's Heero for you. He only thinks about your safty and work. Never what you want. But hey! How about he came with ou?"
"No thanks Dorothy. I don't think I could manage to get away and stay with just Heero. I might as well talk to the wall the whole time I am there."
Dorothy laughed.
"Alright but remember, you could always just pretend that you are sick and make Mr. Do Your Work and Stay Alive do all your work for you."
They both laughed. Dorothy headed for the door.
"Hey wana go get something to eat?"
Relena looked at her watch. "You know Heero would scold me if he found out that I went somewhere without him."
Dorothy rolled her eyes
"Come on Relena, he isn't your god damn mother for crying out loud."
"Alright i'm coming."
"Hurry up and let's go. I feel like I could eat more then Duo."
They lauged again and left not knowing that Heero and Quatra were going out for lunch too.
Yeah I know that the first chapter was boring and all but I promise that things will be getting better. Thanks for reading and give me comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!
