The new issue of Newtype

If anyone picks up the March issue, the free dvd that comes with it, make sure to check it out. It has a preview of FMP. Can't say I'm too happy with it cause for #1. you don't get to hear anyone talk and #2. they make it look like its such a serious show, which yeah it has it moments but it doesn't show any of the humerous clips. Perhaps that might be a good thing, I don't want this anime ruined by a certain fandom genre group 
Also some ppl have complained that the ending title that says Full Metal Panic didn't have the ! at the end and they didn't have the original title like we mostly see. But from the sources, this preview is the same one they used in Japan. Not only that but before they show the cheap version of the title, don't blink or you'll miss it but they show a quick flash of the original title.
Also there are some clips that ppl might happen to pick up on like me but again, don't blink or you might miss it.
For example: eps 3 when Kurz was assigned to watch over Chidori while Sousuke was forced to take a break, we see Kurz meeting Chirori and her friend in the street "Hi! Japanese pretty girls"
after all the intro and pleading aside, we don't see them go out till later when Kurz comes back drunk from his night on the town with the girls and tells Sousuke and Melissa how things went. On this FMP preview, they show a quick clip of Kurz holding a glass with liquor in it and doing kareoke with the girls. It made me soooooooo mad that they actually didn't bother to keep that scene in the anime itself, I'm sure it would've been fun to see. A solution from another person who I've discussed this issue with was this::
I have assumed that that is a scene that didn't make it into the finished episode. I'm not sure if they just never were going to animate that scene, or if it was animated and not included (the last seems unlikely since the eps are all storyboarded). Maybe they made it just for the trailer but that seems unlikely too.
But, my guess has been that those scenes, along with the other scenes in the preview, were animated very early into production so that way Gonzo had a trailer to show. Which is why they look so super nice...
So that is the scoop that I thought I'd share. I REALLY need to plead with hubby for me to get a subscription to this magazine, they just now started #4 part of the FMP manga. I already had 1-3 printed out online so now I'm finally caught up and the beginnign to #4 is soooooooooo funny, so very Sousuke like too of him to get what he wants
