2/16/03 - I know I'm only going to regret posting this right now. -____-;;;
WWII Era fic set on the Western front. Heero, Trowa, Quatre, Duo, and Wufei are Allied soldiers that stumble into the neutral Sanq Kingdom. But will the country and its princess survive when Germany's leaders, and the disinherited Sanq heir find out Relena's offered sanctuary to the enemy?
?Milliardo is coming back today, father. I know that when you were alive, you were angry with him, but you were only mad because you loved him and you wanted more for him than the life of a soldier.? Her voice trailed off as the memory of glass shattering, the world erupting, and her body being thrown to the floor came to her mind again. She closed her eyes, wanting to shut it out, but the fear ? the fear was still too vivid.
?There was a bombing raid last night, father. I now can understand why they call the citizens of London so brave. I don?t know if I would have been able to handle it, though, if Heero hadn?t been there.? She remembered the way he had protected her, diving quickly to the ground to shield her body with his own. He hadn?t had time to think, and yet he hadn?t hesitated.
She opened her eyes and smiled. ?Oh, I guess I should tell you about him. But where do I start? I know so little about him, really...."
