^__^ What fun! I got Yukiru, fine with me ^__^ Actually for the moment that's my favourite FURUBA pairing, so very cute!!

I tend to get attached to the first pairing I see in a fandom after I see the majority of the series. Which I suppose, could have been a problem with Gundam Wing...

But Blissful was my first site ever! (Seriously. I never read or wrote fanfic BEFORE Blissful. Scary, ne?)

Except for Esca... I'm ready to smack any other Van or Hitomi pairing if they're not together. (Especially A/H :evil: Darn Pretty boy)

Well, that quiz is rigged, there's no Kyoru! BLAST THEM! Bunch a frickin traitors.

As for what Toriru is, Wicked, it's the contraction of Hatori x Tohru. Tohru is the main girl, a really sweet 16 year old. Hatori is the 27+ year old doctor. He's a sweety, but he's been in love once, and lost his girl (Kana) because of the curse. Ummm, lemme 'splain:

The members of the Sohma family are cursed. There will always be 13 people at any given time with the curse of one of the 12 animals of the Zodiac + the cat. Basically, the way it works is, when one of the cursed members' bodies is under too much strain OR they're hugged by a member of the opposite sex, they transform into the animal of the zodiac they're cursed with.

So,
Hatori is the dragon.
Yuki is the rat.
Shigure is the dog.
Momiji = rabbit,
Hatsuharu = ox,
Rin = horse,
Ayame = snake,
Kisa = tiger,
Hiro = sheep,
Kureno = bird,
Rit-chan = monkey,
Kagura = boar,
Kyo = cat.

There's a whole story about why the cat is left out of the zodiac. Apparently, the story goes that God was having a banquet for all the animals, but the rat told the cat that the banquet was the next day. So, that night, the cat went to sleep dreaming of a banquet he would never attend. The other 12 animals had a great feast, except for the foolish cat. And that's why there are the 12 animals of the zodiac, and no cat.

So, needless to say, Yuki the rat and Kyo the cat DESPISE each other. And both are in love with Tohru. ^____^


Er....did that in any way approach answering your question? They're releasing the dvds in North America right now - the 1st 2 are already out. There are only 26 episodes, but there are now 70 chapters in the manga. You could probably fairly easily get copies of the translated manga. If you'd be interested, let me know.

Kyo x Tohru forever!!!

Such an interesting premise for an anime. 70 chapters in manga?!! WOWSA! To me, that's long since I'm still new at all this stuff. Pardon my ignorance! (no pun intended)

Nah, I think it's kinda long, too. But I don't know much about manga, either.

But your 'splaination does have my interest piqued. So, yes I'm interested. Damn you Rose! I need to save my money! SAVE it I tell you! Damn the anime/manga world, and damn my pockets for having holes in them! Argh!

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I'm fairly lucky in a way, and unlucky in another way.... The anime place around the corner rents anime once the title has been out a month. That's the good news - TRY before you BUY!

*coughs coughs* There might be fansubs around here somewhere. *cough* Did I say that? I'm sure I didn't.....

P.S. It did help. I just didn't want anyone hating me for ending up as that pair. Everyone here seems to have their couples set.

UNLIKE in GW, there is not this rabid HATRED towards people who like other pairings, just for liking another pairing - no matter how diametrically opposed. I think part of it is that there really are hints to the fact that ALL the Sohma boys think well of Tohru, so you could take any number of those instances and make a case. Of course, you'd have to leave out the hints to the other couplings....

But since Tohru is THE main character, she's telling the story, there's not really anyone that just DESPISES her to the point that they'd abolish INK, kill the creator, and burn Tokyo in order to get rid of her *cough* Relena *cough*

So, you have plenty of boys for the yaoi fans, and a love triangle consisting of Kyo x Tohru and Yuki x Tohru, and we're not POSITIVE yet which one she loves. But Shigure and Hatori both seem affectionate towards her. I just personally feel it's more of an older brother type affection, and think it's pretty well portrayed as such in the anime. But others swear by those pairings - Shigure x Tohru and Hatori x Tohru. *shrugs* It doesn't bother me (other than the age thing). I don't even dislike Yuki x Tohru. I started out liking that pairing, but by the end of the anime had changed my mind (won't give spoilers).

I will convert you to a Kyo x Tohru fan, though. YOU WILL SUBMIT! They just didn't have that as an option in the quiz. I ended up Haru x Tohru, which is kind of a fun pairing and I'm going to write a little ficlet about them (Haru is the bad boy *wink*)

ANYWAY, I've rambled on long enough, I'm sure.

I am Toriru! Yay! I love that pairing, but i also love kyoru and gureru just as much!
Kinda obvious from my name though... my friends and i are recreating fruits basket amongs ourselves, cause some of us are really like the characters. i'm tohru! :razz:
my bf is Kyo and my other bf is Kagura, it's so much fun. she'll come up to us and be like, James!!!!!! WHY HAVENT YOU CALLED ME! and everyone knows they're not going out, so they look at us really funny.
