Running

Author?s Note: I wrote this to satisfy all those pissed of at me for not finishing Just Friends. Enjoy!

Running...
These feelings run through my heart while I look at you...
Running...
Wondering why these feelings seem so true...

Why don't you love me? Why can't you see?
The longing I have... we're meant to be!
I look at you, you start to scowl...
I start to cry, you scream and howl...
Then why do these feelings run through my heart?
And why... dear god... why do I cry when we're apart?

Running...
Now my emotions are so blue...
Running...
Cuz I confessed that I love you...

You look at me funny, your golden eyes stare.
You look at me funny... and say that you care.
I fall into your arms... I feel so light.
You tell me you love me... and I know that it's right.

Running...
So now we're together...
Running...
I know there's nothing better!

Then she shows up, you drop me like a sack...
I cry and think... our love was a fact.
She drags you to hell, kicking and screaming.
You look at me now, and I know you stopped dreaming.
I reach out to help you, I say, "Hold on tight!"
She looks at me yelling, "Stop doing what's right!"
I pull you out, she curses and screams.
We wave goodbye... and let go of your dreams.
You look me in the eye, and you apologize,
you kick her in, she yells out last cries.
You hold me close, and I know that it's true.
No more running... cuz now I'm with you.

I am not a huge fan of poetry, I find it quite difficult to get into. However, I did enjoy reading your poem especially as you got Inu and Kag together in the end (dispite the heart stopping moment when I thought that he would actually be with Kikyou :evil: )

You hold me close, and I know that it's true.
No more running... cuz now I'm with you.

Gotta love those last two lines

frozen tears huh... the story of my life as well... a great Inuyasha poem full of emotion too... I'd like to see that... Kikyou getting sucked into hell that is... j/k again great poem where do you get your inspiration from?
