It was touching, especially when Relena ran to catch him as he fell. ^_^

Trieze chose his own death. That, I think, was part of his honor... that and the fact that he wanted to pass a very deliberate message to Wufei, who, Trieze thought, understood him... but Wufei didn't get the message right away.

I could do a better analysis on him but my mind is a thousand other places preparing to go home today. ^_^

That choice is what made it dishonorable. It went against his very ideals. Not to mention that suicide (or assisted suicide, if you like) is dishonorable in its own light and right.

i don't think it was, he died as a true soldier on the battlefield. He died fighting even if he made that choice to die

He didn't fight to die. He sat there and died. That's not fighting your hardest; that's allowing your opponent to win.

I don't think trieze was Christian. In Japan, suicide can sometimes be a very honorable way to die, and this was a japanese anime. Ever heard of Seppeku or however it's spelled? To some people, the way Treize died made him -regain- honor.
