I agree, Angel. That line bugged me too. -.- I was like: "... You're kidding." It's great that the wars are over and all, but I doubt countries will give up their stockpiled weapons so quickly or, if they're forced to, other countries won't keep producing them anyway... I mean, look at us nowadays. It's been decades since a nuke was used and countries still have 'em.

...But I guess they just thought that they were out of time and had to tie the show up quickly. ^^

nyway, I guess Treize died because his era was over. The Gundam pilots had changed the times in a way that he couldn't change anymore. By letting Wufei kill him he probably tried to show Wufei that he wasn't going to kill him just like he didn't kill him when they fought eachother before. By dying he was probably trying to make Wufei understand that he wasn't a coward because he lost their first fight and that he should once again believe in his own strenght. Atleast that's what I think

Yeah, but if you think about it even more, you realize that's really no excuse. I mean, Treize saw the beauty of the battle. - It lied in the soldier's sacrifices to give everything to the very end and fight his hardest for the things most important to him: beliefs and the people he loved. So when Treize just gives up in the end, it's completely against his ideals - the very reason for which he fought. So Treize had to die; at LEAST let him die honorably!

This is the reason that I have no problem bringing him back from the dead in my ficcies. ^_^ Treize didn't die; the creators screwed him over!

he did die honorably, His war was over. This was supposed to be the last battle (since nobody knew Marimeia's plans) He also knew that it was honourable to die in battle. Being someone to has had such an influence on the war the only good way for him to die would be on the battlefield. And as said at the beginning of EW , he closed the curtain on an era by dying in battle. Besides, he his ideals were to fight, not just to win but to fight a war that would be meaningfull. Everybody can fight with MD's but like lady Une said, he fell in love with people and with their death. Because it triggered some sort of emotion. Dying would mean that he wasn't just willing to let people die for him in a war, he was willing to die himself, thus die for his own ideals.

He didn't die honorably according to his own ideals. Yes, he was willing to die for them; that was why he fought. But they made him forsake those ideals for which he supposedly died. I don't have a problem with Treize dying at the end; his era was over. But I do have a problem with how he died.

This is going to sound really stupid but were Heero's words when he held the gun injured, EW ? ... for some reason I vaguely remember they were important. I can't remember them, or why..but that's what I keep remembering right now.
