personally, i like SesshoumaruXkagome pairings, well ebcause it is not done in the fanfics i've read, here and other places.

well, despite I already cast a vote, I've changed my mind...

I'm definately for the Inuyasha and Kagome pairings in fanfics...

but otherwise (in the anime itself), I'm more of an Inuyasha and Kikyou fan...

It's got to do with true love and dealing with losing someone... but you can't just suddenly turn around and fall in love with someone totally diffent when you didn't even get to say goodbye

Inuyasha and Kagome are the most obvious couple destined to be together. They are however, also the two most stubborn and obstinate characters in the series. I think that once they get over themselves things will get better. But then when that happens we wont have a series anymore will we?

Ya, but Inuyasha is still in love with Kikyo. I doubt that he will ever get over that or himself.

True, but in most cases that I've heard of, the one who died doesn't come back as a clay embodiment with her soul missing, which so happens to reincarnate itself into someone 500 years into the future.

Maybe we don't even have to think about love in the 'absolute' manner, not in the way that they're going to spend the rest of their lives together in the feudal era (for example) and have a ton of little hanyou kiddies while Miroku and Sango finally get past their differences and also get together and have a lot of kids..

I'm getting ahead of myself here.

Even though I'm rooting for both Inu/Kag and Inu/Kik, neither one of them is going to end up completely satisfactory in the manner of conventional happy endings. And as inukikyo already mentioned earlier, if Inu/Kag patch things up we wouldn't have a series anymore. She's probably right.

Bottom line: just b/c Inuyasha still has feelings (however residual and perhaps unwelcome) for someone else in the past, that doesn't mean he's permanently tied up to that and can't try to put it behind him.

Guh, too much typing and not enough Zzz's.

lol i'm a sucker for cannon. I love Kag/Inu fics, but I also like Sesshy and Rin fics, as long as their plausible and she's older... cause right now, as a kid, that's just wrong on SOO many levels. lol anyway, cool poll.

I have quite a few pairings myself that I absolutely adore to little bits. Sango/Miroku, Miroku/Kagome, Kagome/Inuyasha/, particularly Kagome/Sesshomaru. Anyone paired up with Kagura, I just don't see it happening, same with Kouga or Naraku. I say we burn em all. *nodnod* Sango/Inuyasha just don't work, at least not in my eyes. I abhor Kikyou/Inuyasha simply because Kikyou is an annoying prat who should just DIE, literally, already (give up on that blasted curse and move on, geez...). Rin/Sesshomaru are a sweet pairing, IF she's older and more grown up, adult-wise.

Yaoi-wise (here it comes, Ice Princess)... I totally support Inuyasha/Sesshomaru, oh man! Even Inuyasha/Miroku!! >:D The doujinshi they got out there with those pairings.... my, my... it'll even make a full grown man cry with want...

*goes through her collection on her harddrive with a giggle*

But the main pairings I definitely support whole-heartedly are:
Inuyasha/Kagome
Sesshomaru/Kagome
Miroku/Kagome
Sango/Miroku
Grown up!Rin/Sesshomaru

My favorite pairing of all is Sesshoumaru/Kagome, here's why:

Sesshoumaru and Kagome is a couple that you can experiment with, unlike the canon one, Inuyasha and Kagome, you can make so many different plots, they should do a contest for it xD But Inuyasha and Kagome ones....it's the same old thing (yes, there are some Sesshoumaru and Kagome ones that are the same but, I thought so too when I read the summary and when I actually read the story, it was different) and trust me, that does get pretty boring after a while. Now, why would you think Rumiko put Rin in the series? She obviously acts, and looks, just like Kagome. Hint? Not good enough? Here's another, he says her name to Kikyou in the 2nd movie. Hmm.....odd, I thought he couldn't careless about humans.

Let's find another, shall we? Oh, he also saved her from being killed from the demon who tried to force Kagome to -marry- him, as well as trying to kill her, and he spent some of his precious time saving her? Why did he not just let that demon just kill her and that would be the end of his brother? Shocking eh? A lot to think. Also, in the 3rd movie, he saves Rin AND Kagome. If he didn't care about them, then he would've let Kagome just stay there and be killed. Hold on, I'm not done. Sad eh? Kagome gasps when Sesshoumaru pushes Inuyasha away from the Dragon Twister as well. Of course, with further thinking that's worry and also, "Oh no! Without Sesshoumaru, we wouldn't be able to stop Sou'unga!" Let's face it, Kagome is no where near that thought at all, even though she keeps on going back and forth, "I love him, I hate him! I love him, I hate him!" @_@ oy! Just end the freaking anime already >> (coughs) Off of the subject. Alright, last but, certainly not least, Kagome asks him to use Tenseiga to bring back some youkai's father. Why? She sees that he has some good in him. Oh wait! I lied, that wasn't the last one ;D In the Playstation 1 game, where you have to play Inuyasha and Kagome first to get each character, when you change what they say, right where he defeats someone, yes someone, you can put..... I love you! Yes! It can't be for Kagura of course >>; Even though she is a demoness, nothing good for him v.v** but come on, yeah, maybe Bendai just put that in for just kicks, but that isn't the point! They probably even saw the damn hints and went, "Hmm, let's put something for those Sess/Kago lovers." >x3 Come on, I'm sure Kagome would love to kick Jaken once in a while since I bet she had fun hitting him with a staff ;D

Ok for the most part my favorite character of Inuyasha is Rin. As an adult there are so many opportunites for her. Of course the obvious being Sess. But I can see her with Kouga, Kohaku, Shippo, Inuyasha and even Miroku (i'm actually challenging myself with a Mir/Rin story).

Does that make her loose >.<. Maybe in my eyes.

Any pairing with her I love. Ok maybe not Rin and Jaken...I have to give the girl some standards...lol.
