Hey, Heero,
I've been told by a guy that I intimidate males.
[Paxbanana shouts to unsupecting male walking by]: "Hey, you! Yeah, you, get over here NOW! Tell me, you don't think I'm intimidating, do you?"
[Guys blinks and looks around.

] "No."
See, I'm not intimidating, just a little up-front and slightly [slightly] feminist. Is that such a bad thing?
Also, is it normal for a guy to be intimidated by a girl? Does it hurt male ego or soemthing?
Please reply,
Paxbanana

lol! Oh my gosh, paxbanana, i know what you're going through! Ever since middle school when I beat all the guys in my class in arm wrestling, I had the reputation of being "tough." Then i started getting more and more independent and blunt, making eye contact with all people who i talk to or am consulting with, and then people called me intimidating. Then for some reason...even now I have that reputation, though I believe I've mellowed down...
[kai] "Hey! What the hell do you think you're doin? Get outta my way, punk!"
[guy] "uh...sorry!" ~backs off~
~guy tickles me~
[kai] ~SLAP~PUNCH IN SHOULDER~ "What the...? Don't tickle me, it's annoying!"
[guy] ~rubs shoulder~ "ow...i was just playin..."
Oh, do you have a deathglare? Even before I found out Yuy had some sort of trademark death glare, i've been known to have one. Especially when people steal my chocolate...I've heard that's the worst glare i've ever given.

Hi again Heero,
Congrads for graduating from your own torture club, and thanks for that previous advice. Not that I haven't tried doing what you'd suggested; I'm just no good at hanging up on people. But I'll go through all the resources Adaon pointed me to (kudos of thanks to you, too

). Nothing particularly bad has turned out so far, so I'm hoping things will work out
Now to another subject. I've noticed talks about computers on this column

So I have a couple of questions on that to throw here.
I have an HP Pentium III running with Linux and Win98. For Windows, it has this penchant of freezing on me when I try to perform more than one task on it (typing up a document, surfing the net, listening to mp3,..... take your pick for any combination you like). Some people suggested me to get a newer OS, such as WinXP (which is $15 in a computer store nearby :-? ) I just though I'd ask for other opinions before I decide.

So what do you say?
By the way, you happen to know anything about Linux?

Jia Li Labyrinth, you could install WinXP, but I would do that as a last resort. If your computer's pretty old, it may be the the silicone has worn down. You could try upgrading your ram. Ram is pretty cheap now days. I've heard a few horror stories about upgrading windows from 98 to millineum, or XP. And I'm not really good with Linux, but I do plan on teaching myself in a month or so.
And as for this whole "intimidating males" buisness... I'll just get Relena to answer all these questions.

If you plan to put XP on the same computer as Linux, be prepared for headaches in the installation process, they can be very annoying to put together, you would probably have to format the computer, install windows first, then add Linux on (or the other way around, I can't remember off the top of my head)
As for the freezing, well I run windows 98 and it has that annoying tendency, Keeping up with Defragmenting helps tremendously, give yourself as much virtual memory as possible (That means you need open space on your hard drive) and more RAM is good. Windows ME is bad, just don't go there, I like 2000 more then XP, but I don't use either regularly so I'm not really one to listen to on that.
For Linux, take a class if you want to use it, not that it's necessarily hard, but it has a tendency to do what you tell it, if you accidentally told it to format, it would do it without asking you to confirm if you really wanted to.

Kaili, i have been told i have a "look of spite." Honestly, i don't mean to look at people (mainly males) like that, but well...they can be really annoying.
Oh, and i agree with you on the tickling subject. It is so annoying! Ever since the guys at school found out i'm ticklish, it's like "let's go tickle her!"
I don't hit people much at school though. I should start.

Really... But how do i get them to stop tickling me?
Guys have thick skulls...they need force to get the message across.
[Heero gives the glare of death.]
[Paxbanana]:

Except you, of course, Heero.

Ya, guys do have thick skulls. I've been thru 2 car accidents, I got hit by a brick, been kicked in the head, fell out of a tree, and this one time......oh,...thick as in slow!! I guess I just proved your point. You may have to use force. Good luck.

Well, not much to comment on.
Intemidating people doesn't neccessarilly have to be a bad thing. Why do you think I got better missions that Duo? (Appearantly, no one gets better missions than Trowa.) The point is, I would intemmidate him into taking the crap jobs.
You know Pilot03, if you think YOUR head is thick, try falling several stories on many differant occations. But you do seem durrable. Maybe you would make a good pilot.
