i still like richard cox as inuyasha...AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS...Just thought you should know. But I still respect all of your opinions cuz that just what they are. And like I said on the first little post thing My mind will not change on the voice of Inu Yahsa or Miroku. But throughout reading these no one said anything about Kikyo's voice. Kikyo's English or Kikyo's Japanese?
Anyone? Anyone?Buller?(not sure on the spelling of that one)Anyone?

oh holy god kirby morrow does all that?!
miroku, trowa, AND van? not to mention scott on x-men! wow!
now back to the topic! i would honestly have to say that i like the japanese voice actors and actresses for everything because theyre not so fake. for e.g., kagome just bugs me in the dubbed version. she always sounds like she's 5 and looking for someone to give her a lolipop.
ok that was an exaggeration but i really think her voice sounds to fake. of course, the talented kirby morrow  can voice act all he wants in any anime he wants! hes so good at it too! besides, he acts as 3 of my favorite characters in the anime world....
kikyo also has a good voice in english as well as sango but did u noe that richard cox does bit cloud's voice on zoids? i personally am not a fan and i dont really like his voice acting as inu yasha's.
well, theres my long and boring opinion!

Inuyasha's got a decent dub. Not the best, not the worst, in my opinion. For some reason, Naraku's voice sounds like Steve Blum, did you notice? But in the credits I think it's Don Brown..or..I dunno, someone else that's NOT Steve Blum. Heehee. [Steve Blum does Spike's voice in Bebop]... I think my favorite voice in Inuyasha is Inuyasha. I like how Richard Cox does it. It's kinda funny, because he also does Ranma, and in the Japanese version Yamaguchi Kappei did Inuyasha AND Ranma...

When someone is in love with you, you tend to act a little abnormal, maybe a little frightened of the fact that they have feelings for you. Most of it is fear. Fear that that someone will get to you, fear that you might slowly start to acknowledge their feelings, and eventually feel the same way.

I gotta say I like the English dubs better. The Japanese versions sound like the characters are yelling at each other, especially Inuyasha, he sounds constantly angry...then again...he usually is...
Bah, my vote is for the English version. And I have to agree, Miroku's voice is quite sexy!

I don’t think I’d like that too much."

Humm, I guess the Japanese would sound like alot of yelling. Japanese is an uninflected language and while it is more simple in it's components it's actual expression is left to either emotive qualities in the voice or lots and lots of polite nothingness.
As female speakers have more limited expression they tend to be more shrill to compensate. Consider "A,ah" as the male "Yeah, that's true" or even "yup" to the female "un" which merely signifies female agreement. Both Sango and Kagura speak in a shockingly masculine manner.

I wish I knew all of that stuff about the Japanese language; I've heard that understanding it gives subbed anime a different depth as english just can't pick up on some nuances of meaning. But I guess that the english works fine for our culture because that's what we innately understand, so if you have a strong dub, then we get the meaning anyway, or at least the gist. I think for the most part this english cast does a good job.
A side note, I randomly went looking at the english voice actors' websites the other day, and I had no idea most of them were so young and/or good-looking. Gracious! All the guys who did the G-boys (well, give or take Scott, aka Duo...he's kinda old, but still kinda cute - remember I'm 24, so I can look at older dudes without being completely grossed out
. But do any of you watch "Showbiz Moms and Dads" on...I think it's E! network? Scott kinda looks like the crazy NY dad...which decreases his cuteness factor by about 75%.) are around my age and quite attractive! Holy cow, the guy who did Heero's voice?
Nice.
And yeah, for a while I thought Naraku was voiced by the all-powerful "7-11" Steve Blum, too. He and Paul Dobson do sound similar. And I had no idea that Stever's has a mini-mullet. My my my...
I did get a chance to hear the japanese voices while downloading the movie preview trailers, and yeah, Sesshy's voice is quite nice.
And yet ANOTHER random side note, and sorry but this really has nothing to do with IY, but have you all seen the Duo portrait in Darkwing's Gundam fanart section? I had no idea before, but holy mackerel if she didn't use Scott McNeil's face!!! What a talent! It's amazing!!
Okay, I think I've finally said everything! Ciao!

Interesting...English is an incredibly flexable language in which you can express yourself in any nuance of meaning you want. Which is to say, get a dictionary and actually read the thing! Most people can't express themselves because they have the vocabulary of a six-year-old.
Sorry, personal huff there. But the reason why the dubbed versions loose alot is because they try to both get the lines to fit when the chacter's lips are moving and, for some reason, try to tidy the story up for western sensibilties. That's why they are so awful.

I still say it all depends on which ever language you see it in first. See it in English first your bound to like it better in that language. See it Japanese-you'll like it better in that one...
Though I still agree with Nokomarie, the way she said it earlier:

In all honesty; I LOVE and ADORE the voice actors apart of the OCEAN voice-acting thingie group. All apart of Vision of Escaflowne, Gundam Wing, Inuyasha, and a few others, I believe.
Kirby Morrow; his voice is just gorgeous. It fit Van Fanel so well, and it fits Miroku, too!
Richard Ian Cox, oh God... his voice rocks. I love it, it fits Inuyasha perfectly, it's crazeh. I especially love how in the dubs Inuyasha does the little shriek when Kagome goes "Sit, boy.", and he falls to the ground. xD That ALWAYS cracks me up.
(His Japanese voice actor sounded horrible, like some immature little boy with a lot of sexual frustration... -_-' i.e. grunting...)
The dub of Kagome; I find that it fits her perfectly. I tend to stay away from the female Japanese voice actors simply because they always sound like they're moaning, breathless, and just having a good ol' sexual time behind the microphone even in the littlest innocent scenes that there are in a series.
With guys; it's all about grunting and sounding like they're constipated, I'm sorry, but no, that just doesn't work with me. -_- There were only a few Japanese voice actors I could stand, example ... Hideki from Chobits, and Seijii (if I remember his name) from She, The Ultimate Weapon, including Edward and Alphonse from FMA.
AND O. M. F. G.!~~~ The guy, Paul Dobson, who does Folken, Naraku, Matrix (REBOOT), and many others... the dub voice actor, omg, I am so in love with his voice. It's just so DEEP and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice... makes me sigh and go "So hawt..."
Kerry Sheridan: Sango and Hitomi... her dub fits both those characters so well.
All these voice actors/actresses... they tend to grow on you, you know what I mean? Although Scott McNeil, aka Duo Maxwell, Wolverine, Jajuka, his voice reminds me so much of Inuyasha's minus the silly shrieking.
It has a nice... how to say it... tone to it, it's just really nice.
But yes.. it's obvious that I love the dubs more then the Japanese voices, and honestly, it depends on the series, I guess, the characters and all that.

I rewatched both movies in Japanese, and I still love the English dubs better
