Blissful Ignorance

Usually I'm prettywith my pairings. I like SakuraxSasuke, SakuraxNaruto, HinataxNaruto, HinataxKiba (<3), ShikimaruxIno, LeexTenten (am I the only one?)

Ocassionally I'll read KakashixSakura (though I feel sort of guilty for liking it so much...), ShikimaruxTemari. And very rarely NeijixSakura.

There are very few fics I don't like.

Is it juste me or was the latest episode (Ep 101) really screwed up.
I've never seen so many facefaults, even Sasuke was doing it.

Why are they giving us these filler eps anyway, just get on with the damn story so we can watch naruto and Sasuke beat seven shades of sh*t outta each other

It's an animated (and extended) version of the 4-page Naruto manga special.

Too many facefaultering? Rewatch episode 22. The three did a lot of that when Gai-sensei appeared. Though of course, there was more facefaultering in this episode. But do keep in mind that this is supposed to be a fun episode to make us laugh.

As for why are we getting filler episodes instead of the actual story? The animation team is stalling for time as they wait for the current manga arc to finish up or at least move onto the next part. Since most animation studios do not work directly under the particular series' creator/mangaka, they do not and will not know the story like the mangaka and his/her assistants do. So waiting is probably a good idea, as they will have the time to fully understand and familiarize themselves with the next arc before they start it.

Also, in a long run, it'll most likely be better if the animation team stalls. The longer they stall, the longer it'll take for the anime to catch up to the manga. Either that or they can (and probably should) stop a season or two to wait for the manga to get ahead.

And honestly, if possible, we do NOT want the anime to catch up to the manga. Look at how many awesome manga-turned-anime series were screwed (depending on the watcher's POV) because the anime caught up? There's X:1999, Houshin Engi, Prince of Tennis, Full Metal Alchemist, Chrno Crusade, Full Moon wo Sagashite, etc. And we certainly do NOT want Naruto to be added to the list.

*remembers DNA Angel and shudders* I love how the Naruto anime turned out. I don't mind filler episodes, since sometimes their funny.

Yeah. I agree w/ u there. TeniPuri...X/1999...to name a few... :x I don't want too many filler eps. so I think they should stop for a while. I rather wait than have the anime become wacko.

I dabble a bit of Hinata/Kiba and Lee/Tenten too!!! (But it's so hard to find fans of these two pairings.)

Though my absolute favourites will always be Sasuke/Sakura and Shikamaru/Temari.

From the episode preview in 101, it seems like we'll be getting another filler episode next week. But since the manga arc seems to be ending soon (that is, provided that neither Naruto nor Sasuke throw out any new moves or go DBZ mode again :-?), we should be moving along soon. *crosses fingers in hoping Naruto will kick Sasuke's ass*

Is it just me or are there no couples that include Choji and Kankuro? It's kind of sad.

I think there is not enough time focused on Chouji or Kankuro to have them paired with. The scenes w/ Kankuro, like the fights, were not too significant enough to caught my interest. Both are overlooked, especially (to me) Chouji.

But that is what I think.

Both Chouji and Kankurou had much more screentime (in the manga, that is) than many characters. Tenten is the one that stands out the most in my mind. She had probably less than an hour of screentime in the anime and her manga appearance was even less. Yet we see more fics of her than of Chouji and Kankurou.

The problem is, we don't have enough female characters in the series. After every almost every single girl is paired up, we still have tons of guys leftover. So they're usually ignored.

Sakura... the normal me likes her with Sasuke. But NaruSaku can be cute if it's done right. And recently, I developed an unhealthy lust for ItaSaku. *sneaks off to the Itachi/Sakura site she recently found*

And NejiTen will forever remain a mystery to me...
