Heero I have HUGE compy promblem and I need your help!
When I emptied compy from spywares and ad-wares, something happened with my cookie files! I can't log in anywhere and some sites even don't work! I don't know what to do, or how to restore those cookies... I installed Java and everything was fine, but when I turned compy on today the problem with cookies was back!.. I even tried to do something in Tools, but it didn't help either. I need your help!..

For the cookies it sounds you have a problem with your browser permission settings. (assuming your using I.E.)
Go to:
Tools-->Internet options.
pick the Privacy tab.
and set the level to whatever you feel necessary (I use medium)
That shouldn't cause pages not to load, are you running an active anti-spywhere program?

Well, I did minimum in Privacy yesterday and it didn't help at all.
I use Spy-bot - Search & Destroy.
I'm happy that I can log on at least here!.. But I can't use BI mailbox

Raspberry, how are you using Spy-bot?
I had problems with it when I first used it.
Have you got it set on default or advanced mode?
Make sure you got it set on default, otherwise you might delete with out knowing important things that your system needs.
I did minimum in Privacy yesterday and it didn't help at all.
Did you also go into tool>internet options>security, try lowering that to medium.
That's what mine is set on. Anything higher the pages don't display properly for me.

This is what I did. And with Spy-bot... I think you're right! I had it on Advanced mode and probably I deleted important things!

And now I don't know how to restore them... Or which are important...
IMPORTANT! All BI members, I am sorry that I am not replying to your PMs, but I can't because of the lack of those damned ( ) cookies. Pleasem do not be angry about this! I promise I will reply after my problem is fixed. Also, I can't use normal e-mail. And please, tell this message to others

Ok, Rasp, this happened to me. My Spy-Bot deleted an extention my compy needed to open short cuts and I restored it from this site
http://www.filext.com/
You might have an extention file missing. Not sure which one.
Look throught the very looooooong list of extention files. They have a summary next to them on what they do.
You can't restore files if you used advanced mode Spy-Bot (switch it over to default mode). If you have an XP computer you could try a system restore point.

I was on FILExt and when I found COOKIE FILE, there were no links
I still don't know what to do!...
And I don't know how to turn DEFAULT mode of Spy-bot. I have only Easy and Advanced mode...

Then switch Spy-Bot to easy mode.
What computer do you have Raspberry? like for example, XP hp pavilion.
I will search FILExt for you for the file(s) you're missing.

*sigh of relief* well at least you got a Windows XP, thats good cuz I got one too.
Well, I'm not exactly sure what file(s) your missing. I had a browse through FILExt. Took awhile :-? and I'm clueless on what file(s) ya need, I'm not sure how else to help you.
Try a system restore. If you have that option on your compy.
It might be in My software programs folder-->accessories-->system tools[\b]. And read the instructions before ya use it.
Glad to help ya Rasp.
It's best to wait for Heero to return, he's more experienced with computers. I'm still learning about mine.
