Please put up spoilers! The plot is so intense, i definitely don't want to be spoiled!
I have a few questions though, if anyone knows the answers:
1. The series is 51 eps, but it's two seasons, I think (although, there's no real clear cut-off). Is a box set available for either season? If not, does anyone know when the box set will be available and how many eps will be on it?
2. Is the manga still running? Is it kind of like Fruits Basket where the anime ending is wrapped up but the manga moves onward, or is the manga finished or almost finished but with a little different plot structure and/or, etc. Please don't tell me what happens in the manga if it's different (I know some things are but I don't want to be spoiled!) I just want to know if it's finished yet.
3. Is the movie out in Japanese or is EVERYONE still waiting for it? (again, please don't spoil >_<)
Thanks to anyone who knows!

There are two seasons, but it really all just flows into one piece. There is no boxset, as of, but there are the single dvs.

The manga, I believe (don't quote me...I'm still adjusting to manga ^^) is just now over. It had like 50 chapters. As for differences, what anime and manga are exactly the same?

The movie is out in theaters in Japan. But...everyone not able to jet over is still trying to kill their cousins to get it.
Hope that helped!

Wow. Next year? Is that when it's scheduled to come out? And do you mean January or a year from now?

PS: What is the OVA? (don't spoil! Just tell me if it's the movie (first movie?) or the series condensed, or what)

The ova (like...movie type thing. Like EW was for GW.) will be released to dvd in Japan...some time. and when it does, it will hit the net for subbing. For the american version, much longer.

Hagaren = ROYAI! XD <333
*cough* Seriously now...
The anime is really fun and engaging. The music's cool. The animation's great and consistent in quality. But I have to say that my heart just has to belong to the manga (aside from Royai, that is).
Because for me, the manga is SO much better than the anime in terms of... everything!
Story-wise, there's more going on in the manga than in the anime; it's darker, more twisted and intriguing.
There's also more characters in the manga than in the anime. Some of the characters' background stories were also tweaked in the anime. For example: START SPOILER! In the manga, it was Scar who killed Winry's parents, but in the anime, they inserted that past into Roy's character. END SPOILER!
There is also constant character build up in the manga compared to the anime. The characters have stronger personalities in the manga than in the anime, and you can see how each of them shine through as individuals.
It is also in the manga that you can see how strong the bonds are between characters (Ed & Al, Ed & Winry, Al & Winry, Roy & Hawkeye, Roy & Hughes, Roy & his men, etc...).
So, yeah. Manga Hagaren OWNS! I suggest that you guys grab hold of it, too! //o^
And no... The manga hasn't ended yet. It's still on-going. Chapter 51 should be released in a few days. //_^v

*blinks* Whoa. Is that true? See how the manga and anime veers away from each other in that aspect. Truly, that is interesting. Seriously, I think that when the manga ends, we can see which is better. Some prefer the anime, others prefer the manga. Which do you prefer?

well i like the anime more than the manga, that's what i think. i mean people does have different opinoins. but it is true that in the manga the main characters does share a stronger bond, and i think that both manga and anime is good.
