I get what your saying, I really do. I understand how annoying it must of been to listen to me, after all i did sound like spoiled little kid and ignorant even. I really need to keep mouth shut. But I said what I felt at the time, and i'm not gonna make an excuse for it, there isn't any excuse worthy for somethings or stuff some people do.

What's more is I offended someone, which really wasn't my intent, but I seemed to do it anyway. I'm really not the most mature person in the world, I know that, and I've been greatly humbled by this whole thing.

Again, I didn't mean to nag or upset anyone, and i'm really sorry if I did. But whats more is that I discovered there's still a few things I need to grow up on, and hopefully i'll master those lessons soon.

Love,
Egg Drop Soup

I love reviews, and while I do review, I'm the 'great, more' kind of reviewer. If I really, really like a story, I do longer reviews. I'm not a non-reviewer, though. ehhehehehehe.

But I do understand that you can't always get reviews. And I do understand Egg Drop Soup's feelings when you get few reviews. It happened to me and it's still happening. XD I treasure my reviews, no matter how short they are, and I always make a point to thank those who reviewed. They inspire me. XD

Hmm...I don't see anything wrong with putting 'CC' or 'Rand R pls' at the end. What I hate is when people threathen, like "if I don't get so-so, I'll stop". That's pure blackmail.

I must admit reviews do tickle ur sense of creativity, but I disagree into making it a requirement, u wanna review go ahead, dun have to if u don't feel like it. Reviews simply come from generous people who feel the need to inspire the author and give in a lil push, tis all! :bounce:

I seriously agree with just about everyone here. If I read a story, and the author says that if s/he doesn't get so-n-so reviews, then I just scoff in disgust and not bother reading it at all.

I'll admit; I'm a non-reviewer, but not on here, no. More so Fanfiction.Net and AdultFanFiction. Here I love to give the lovelies reviews, you all deserve them! :)

Like now; I'm not in a Gundam Wing mood, so I stay away from the Relena x Heero area. Sure, I'll go in, peek through the list going on, then go to the section I'm most into at the moment, and that's Escaflowne and InuYasha. But lately, not many people have been bombarded with stories for Escaflowne :( so there's nothing much to read in there. :(:(:(

With InuYasha now, I'll go in, peek through what is there now, and believe it or not, if the title doesn't catch my eye... I don't read the story behind it. I've been seeing a lot of the fics where InuYasha LIVES in Kagome's world as like a business agent, or a big star who is adored by all the women; I don't really like fics like that unless they're really really well-written and catch me instantly and keep me rooted deep within the story.

Hmm..ok, I have to be honest. I'm not going to review a story unless it really moves me and I think that the writing is fantastic. I don't review stories that I...well...really don't like or that I think aren't written very well. Giving opinions takes time as Rose pointed out.

The biggest qualm that I have is that...writing a lemon is sure fire way to get reviews. OR...having up front romance in almost every chapter of a fic. It's almost as if some readers forget that's there's actually a plot involved in writing stories. And...sometimes it takes a couple chapters to get to the meat of the story. If I'm going to invest my time reading a long, well developed work, you're dern right I'm going to review!!! And most likely that will be for every chapter - especially the ones that I felt really contributed to the artwork of the story.

Now, that doesn't mean that shoter stories don't deserve a review! If they're well written, I'll absolutely leave a 'Great Job!' or a ' This was a really sweet fic!' But otherwise, unless it really does something for me...I hate to say it, I won't review.

Eeeesh...this took way too long to write the way it is. I'm going now...

i agree with mellie that some some people may not be members and thats why they dont review. and true that it an author 'threatens' by saying the readers need to reply...then i just feel sorry for the author. Not because i might not want to read the fic but b/c if that's the only reason they write...well its not a good enough one. Praise for your work is great and i certainly hope that more ppl will start to review the authors' work.
