Blissful Ignorance

Wow...Quatre! Well, I always thought of him as an attractive pilot...after Heero of course. I like polls, but whenever I try to vote, it has been closed! Yes, there has to be a Heero chapter. "Save the best for last"...so Heero's chappie should come last, right? =runs from Trowa fans with pitchforks= Trowa is handsome also, but I think Relena is attracted to Heero the most. ^_^ Great job, and I am eagerly awaiting Quatre Part II!

I'm on the home stretch, sweets! Quatre's chapter has been both a struggle and a pleasure to write. What am I talking about? It's still a struggle and a pleasure writing it. I'm just hung up on how to end it. I'm going after a nice transition into Heero's chapter - which as you might have guessed, is next. After that, it's Duo and then Trowa's

With his back still presented towards her, Relena ran her eyes down the strong column of Quatre's neck. She imagined she could see the fine hairs gracing it being lighted by the afternoon sun, each sliver of hair illuminating like tiny pin points of light. As her eyes went lower and were met by the blinding whiteness of his shirt, Relena closed her eyes and continued her tour of what she now called "Winner's World." She could almost see the hairs continuing down his back, getting more sparse as it reached around mid-back. She smiled dreamily, her inner romantic momentarily breaking through. It would make a delicious contrast to what must be a splendid back, a delightful creation of flat bones and smooth muscle coalescing into a tempting plane made only for the pleasure of touching and stroking. The hairs would make his back smooth to the touch, but the muscles - that could be plainly seen through the shirt, Relena noticed - would give no doubts that it was a man's back. Hardness vs. softness.

Damn it, where was that drink?

Relena applied a steady but gentle pull. She was careful to not cause any pain, and at length, he knelt on one knee. His posture was reminiscent of a loyal knight kneeling before his queen. Duo remained silent, but a different kind of tension held his body now.

Feeling like someone else was controlling her hand, Relena lifted the heavy braid and brought its end to her lips. Her eyes closed with the feeling. So good. Entranced, she drew the silky-soft tips over her lips and down one cheek and knew that his wide eyes followed her every movement. She felt the weight of his stare.

And the growing heat of it.
