*scratches head* Isn't this supposed to be an advice column? So far I've only seen one post requesting advice while the rest is rather...superfluous.

Tsk tsk, so many threats being thrown about as well. That's not good for the community at large. Shame shame on all y'all. ~_^

My quiz result (as seen from earlier in the thread):
<a href="http://guru.theotaku.com/quiz.php?quiz=28"><img border="0" src="http://guru.theotaku.com/results/28_relena.jpg"></a>
<font size="1"><a href="http://guru.theotaku.com/quiz.php?quiz=28">theOtaku.com: What Gundam Wing Character Are You?</a></font>

Interesting result. However if I were truly Relena, Heero would be out of the picture....

Advice! It's a good thing, therefore I shall ask a question which needs an advisory answer.

Say that you work with your best friend who also happens to be your roommate. You rarely keep anything from the other but things get touchy when it comes to wages. During one review you are given a half a percentage more than your friend who is upset but the extra half percentage was only given to you because your boss negelcted to input the information to payroll in a timely manner. Then after another, more recent review you're give a 1.5% raise more than the friend who in all honesty didn't deserve the crap raise they gave her/him. After all is said and done the friend gets another .5% raise...and so do you unintentionally (due to the same reason as before: time and payroll).

You haven't mentioned this to the best friend for fear of the drama the will ensue yet you feel like a traitor or some sort for keeping silent. What would you do, if anything?

Thank you for your time. And Trowa, good luck with your essays.

The love of money is the source of a lot of conflict ? to paraphrase. unfortunately people do tend to get far to rapped up in how much they make vs coworkers, I remember one time seeing an episode of the show Working that revolved around people finding out what others make, it wasn't pretty. If you measure your life in money it's never good enough.

Personally I would suggest not bringing up the subject, if she asks it's always best to be honest, after all you don't want her to find out then know you lied to her. If she asks why you didn't tell her, again be honest, you didn't want it to be an issue between the two of you. Also remember, there's nothing you can do about a boss being stupid. Despite whatever friction may come up it will pass over as long as you remain a good friend.

Something you might try to reduce friction is go through a financial planning class together, Financial Peace University seems to be the best, but be prepared for a large amount of religious content in it. The big points it goes over is living on a budget and not going into debt. As the guy who started this says, he never heard anyone say they made all there money off credit cards, or magic pills and gamma rays. That's the biggest thing I would recommend, if you learn how to manage money it helps you for a lifetime instead of just being a short term fix.

Good Luck.

Trowa, do you know any great avatar sites out there?
I've been searching all week, I think I've been through 45% of the web's graphics sites. I'm tired!

All I find is Sailor Moon, CCS and other animes but hardly any avatars for GW.

Help?
(if ya want to help) :salute:

Sorry about the delay, no I do not know any avatar sites, but I do know many people on this site make them.

My favorite fruit is ripe strawberries. And I mean really ripe, if they are bruised at all they just aren't as good. So typical that you'll find in the store, I prefer the average orange to anything else.

 YAY! Trowa's back!
No matter 'bout avatars. I found some & started making my own too.

I like strawberries really ripe too.
I don't like bruised fruit - especially bananas.
 we're discussing fruit!

Do ya know which codec I need to import a mpeg-layer3 audio file into Windows movie maker?
I think thats the problem I'm having cuz it say I don't have the needed codec. :-?

Yo Trowa, for a minute there, I thought you vanished. That would have been bad.

Good news!

I have recieved word from Relena, she doesn't know where Dorothy is right now, but she is looking for her. It really sucks, all of the G pilots and girls have gone their seperate ways. Unless they were joined at the hip  Thats it! Everbody, I'm going to makes plans for.. a reunion..
