Probably not. Come to think of it, Heero isn't exactly the nicest guy in the world, so Wufei would probably be best for her.

Well, no, I take it back... he's just very secluded at times and right now that is hurting him. He can be nice but he chooses not to because he assumes it would make him seem weak around to everyone else.

The again, I'm just trying to consider Wufei's side for once, considering he really doesn't get as much attention as everyone else.

I'm excited to tell you that a version of your Kevin is making an appearance in Chapter Five; but he's only inspired by your character, since your story takes place way ahead of mine, and in your story Kevin meets Heero and Relena for the first time. In mine, he's a Preventer-in-training. It's so much fun, I promise! Thank you for letting him make an appearance. ^_^ I'm trying to hurry up and read your story so I can do the guy some justice!

And you've hit the nail on the head with Heero... he's not a terrible person, but he is distancing himself, pushing himself further and further away... It's sad, really. But this story is 5xR, it's here in the Alternatives forum, and that's the way it's got to stay. Believe me, it frustrates me to no end because I diehard 1xR, to the grave 1xR... *sigh* I just keep reminding myself that Guinevere chooses Arthur, not Lancelot; Isolde marries Marke, not Tristan; Catherine weds Edward, not Heathcliff; and each male protagonist writhes in agony over his lost love. The question is... Who is the romantic hero in this story- Wufei, or Heero? Which one is the antihero?

Your hero would have to be Wufei. He is just as damaged as the rest of the Gundam 5 if not more so. Every pilot lost family or never knew them, but how many lost their entire colony plus their wife! Dang. Sucks to be Wufei. In my opinion he was the most emotionally stable pilot. He always thought things through except when it came to his grudge with Treize. I think that showed his more human side then anything else. Treize shattered Wufei's way of living and it was only natural for him to have Treize symbolize everything he was fighting against and chase him down.

Then you have Heero. Your Vin Diseal. The anti-"Heero". He has feelings and is confused about Relena but just doesn't know how to go about expressing the softer side of his personality he had repressed for so long. He's not wrong but also not right in that respect. Do you honestly think that a good women would wait for a guy to come around when she has found someone else willing and able to provide what she is looking for. That's a tough one.

That was a nice, scholarly answer, p03! You see Wufei exactly as I do. It's a shame that he's always so misrepresented in fan fics. I'm not a Wufei expert or anything, but I'm doing my best to make him more relatable than I have in the past (See other fics of mine, where I just have him running around screaming, "Injustice!" As much fun as it is to write him like that, it's not exactly fair).

Heero as Vin Diesel? Now that's an interesting comparison... I think I exaggerated a bit by calling him an antihero, however; he's more like a tragic hero. He's my Heathcliff, my Tristan, etc. But I'm getting ahead of myself, because you have yet to see his fully destructive side in this fic. And you have yet to see Wufei's irrational anger... As far as drama is concerned, the best is yet to come!

wow.....you guys are sooo great in your "in-depth" analysis of Heero and Wufei..... though i will have to think twice about the Heero Yuy-Vin Diesel comparison.....

My reason for thinking of him that way is because though he is not the bad guy, you still feel sorry for him and want him to win. He could step up and be the one for Relena but he took to long. Not a bad thing, but the boat already left the dock and he's stranded so to speak. The story could go either way. Wufei or Heero. Hero and AntiHero. Basically yin and yang. That's my idea behind it, but it shall be Wuffles due to the forum!

oh well...i guess it's really wufei's turn to shine shine shine.... he's not that toast after all....
