 I never thought the housekeeper was going to be the target of such animosity! I've even had requests for her to be killed off! I almost feel sorry for her... almost

*hugs* Thanks Morri-chan, for your continued support!

I think Heero might be a little curious about that one himself. *grins* There's a little more light shed in the next chapter though...

*hugs* thank you for reviewing! I'm glad that you're still reading!

You say that this chapter is nothing special, but as I told you not all the parts of a book can be full of action. This chapter could be defined as a transition passage, but it perfectly accomplishes to its task. It leaves the reader hanging, wondering what's going to happen next. What will Quinze do to find his precious slave again? Which will be the resolutions taken by the housekeeper to 'save' Relena? And Milliardo? Will he be able to live according to his feelings for the charming queen and take care of his country in the same time?
See...a lot of questions. I'm waiting for the answers in the next episode so....*Whack* WRITE, Melly-chan! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ah...btw...great job! Ehehehe :-P

Hmmm... an interesting observation Angel  ... To be honest there are likely to be a few parallels with CE's Caesar and prominent Roman Emperors in history. And yes... Gaius Julius is a rather key source of inspiration. :D

There is definately a reference to the Caesar/Cleopatra legend. What can I say... I couldn't resist. But while the beginning may be similar... I can't say that it will finish that way. I'm not good at angst sooo...

Thanks for reading AA!
Raspberry wrote: This is simply marvellous! I am really excited about what Noin had planned for Milliardo (the whole "Egypt's welthiness" [sp?] thing), will all those damn people leave Relena and Heero alone ( f*cking House Keeper!), WHEN the famous "Colliseum intrigue" (some people suspect the part of plot, I think ) with Quatre, Dorothy and <blank for two names > will appear in the story
Two names? What two names? Why, Raspberry, whatever do you mean? O:) (We seriously need a halo smilie *grins*) As for the Collesseum... well... oh look at that over there! *runs away*

Melodrama, seriously, when I saw this chapter at first, I thought I was seeing things or that this was mearly the older chapter brought up to the top again, but then I thought, "It seems like there are more I's this time tho, . . ." So I had to take a look, just to be sure of course

So exciting to see a new chapter ^^ This is one of the ficcies that I seriously wait with baited breath for each new chapter. You take your time writing them, but they always come out beautifully, and who can complain about that?

I know its been mentioned numerous times by the people who've already reviewed, but I must agree with them. The housekeeper, girl, she's evil and she's out to ruin the H/R fluffyness! We can have none of that, no no we cannot. Of course it will be interesting to see what her plan is to get rid of Heero before its thwarted.

Now about Noin and Milliardo; Lovin the whole bit ^^ Noin has proven to be one the the most squeel-worthy characters so far in this ficcy, just by her characterization alone. She's just so darn cool! I've always had a soft spot for the conniving ones who manipulate everyone with a "Whoops, did I do that?" attitude ^^ And given that Millardo's character has always hated to be led, well, it just makes this couple all the more interesting to observe.

Something that I find incredibly interesting is the fact that our Heero-slave wasn't supposed to be sold in the first place, no matter how much money it was for. I think everyone expected that, knowing a bit about his past from Trowa, but still, inquiering minds wanna know who dosn't want Heero around, and why?

I truly admire authors like you, who spend the time and research what it is they are writing about, plan each chapter, and find a way to pull everything togeather so beautifully. There may be more time between individual chapters, but they are always worth the wait. Quality over quantity I say *_*

Keep up the wonderful work Melodrama, and I hope to be surprised by another chapter one of these days.

Doc Conners - Ultimate Spiderman Volume 3

The dust bunnies and the plot bunnies are conspiering, . . . I think thats why I keep loosing all my socks.

Sweet Mother of Pearl, you can write for eight-million nundinums if you have to when chapters come out as thrilling and heart-rending as this one.

*iceprincess is hereby sweating buckets, for various and sundry reasons*

I would take my sweet, sweet time detailing minutely why I loved this chapter, but I have to get to sleep eventually. In truth, I'm so flabbergasted that it's been updated (just with joy, mind you. No flames on your busy life, my darlin') and so spellbound by its contents that I frankly don't know what to say. You are an amazing writer. This fic is historical-novel quality (with creative leeway, granted). As in 'should-be-in-print'. Your writing has that much 'gravitas' (haha...latin...ha...lame, I know).

Okay, guess I gotta point out a few of my favorite things thus far. I like your allusion to Julius Caesar's assassination with Milliardo's suspicion of his Senate. Verrrrry intriguing fare. And hmm, his trusty assassin Aquila is gone...a scantily visited tidbit that will no doubt bite our hineys in the future, eh? I have to say this, and I know it has no credence to this story whatsoever, but I was watching a History Channel special on Hannibal and for some inane reason I instantly thought of Heero from this story. Don't know why. I guess I was randomly wondering about his connection to Trowa (because Trowa recognized him) and, of course, Heero's military skills. I pondered for a split second that perhaps he's a soldier/general but not Roman. Random, I know!!! I have no idea his past, and frankly, I know whatever you have in store for us is ten billion times more interesting that anything I'm going to come up with. But I had to digress!

I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead, but don't you *dare!* I neeeeeed more!!!! (But take your time!) ^_^

sooooooooo
ive added yet another author to my all-time favorites list.
unfortunately for me i discovered this story and have been reading chapters 1-8 without being able to stop. it is now 4:44 am. it was definitely worth it! (<--thats what my eyes feel like). i'll be having sweet dreams of yummy Heero and Trowa tonight for sure! (now that im allowed to go to sleep, seeming as how THERE ARENT ANYMORE UPDATES YET! *nudge nudge*)
i dont think i can stress how badly you need to finish this story (for my peace of mind, really!)
im very very very very tempted to start reading your other ficlets ive seen as i was wading thru the pages to find all the Caveat Emptor chapters, but i think i'll have to save them for another night. :( unfortunately life requires that i sleep so i can function. pffttt...who wudda thunk?

keep that muse well fed!

(im)patiently waiting,
~Kris
