I had placed this story around late XVI, early XVII century, so I was kind of right. ^^!
I'm very pleased with the new twists; I like your writing style, and the flowing manner with which you develop the scenes.
I'm looking forward to see what happens; about Paul and Darla's plans, Relena's escape, Heero's reaction... Great job, Teardropedangel.

I have always looked forward to any updates to this fic everytime I sign in. Its progress is quite interesting.
Question though, was this a masked ball or not? Coz I'm wondering, since Relena knows herself of the dangerous circumstances surrounding her, wouldn't she be leery of showing her face in public?
Unless nobody has seen her ever in that particular part of the world?
Good work though. Keep it up.

Anyway, No it wasn't a masked ball. In keeping with Relena's personality in the beginning of the series, the princess is withdrawn and not prone to public appearences. Only those of her inner circle of influence would be able to properly id her. (unless of course one did some major undercover work, which the guys did to get her out of the auction house) I didn't go into detail with that because I hadn't planned for this story to go on this far.

Thanks for the answer! Looking forward to chapter 8 (the real one hehehe). As it is, am grinning at the thought of what Millardo would have thought of his little sister in Heero's clutches, ehem I mean hands.
Another thing though (okay, blame my being made to critique everything by my current teacher) if one is an assasin, one should also not go bandying about one's identity...I mean I'm thinking of something like Day of the Jackal character or something (ok, that book was read by yours truly ages ago, which just goes to show my age...eeep)...
More power to Heero then and to Relena too...whoever wins the duel (but I do hope its going to be Relena...what fun!)
