Hmm its kinda odd when we run out of things to talk about. You live in Chicago right? I've got an annoying cousin who lives there as well. Always bugs me about his computer.

I probably haven't met him. =p
So, have you been watching SEED dubbed on Toonami?

Nope - I hardly watch any TV nowadays. You ever watch that hour special SEED thing they aired n Japan? It supposed to sum up the first half of the entire series, and has about 20 minutes worth of new animation. I downloaded the raw version, but I can't get myself to watch it for some reason. I hear that it also lays to rest any doubts about whether Kira and Frey really had sex or not.

Nope. I watched that five minute epilogue thing but I haven't touched the other special. My computer crashes a lot when I play movie files so it didn't seem worth it.
Besides, it's obvious Flay and Kira did it. I mean, what else could they have been doing? Like I've said before, they were either screwing or having a friendly Greco-Roman wrestling match.

Yeah I figured they were indeed doing the horizontal polka (wonder how many euphemisms there are for sex anyway), but as I said before no main character for a gundam series has ever gotten laid (at least in the timeframe of the show) before.
I hear theres a SEED video game out too. You ever build those Bandai gundam model kits before? Its blister inducing fun! Especially the master grade ones. I'm too poor/cheap for those perfect grades though.

There're a couple SEED games floating around. I think the GBA one is coming to the US... Strike and Aegis are already in Encounters in Space.
I don't build models too often, mostly because I'm lazy and the only place in my area that stocks them for a reasonable price is this Japanese mall (Plug: If you live in the Chicagoland area, you must make a pilgrimage to Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights. You know you want a copy of TIME Japan) which is far-the-hell-away.
None the less, I have Strike, Aegis and Heavyarms Custom sitting on a book shelf in my room. 1/144, 1/144 and 1/100, respectively.

I've got a RICK-DOM and a zeta model, both 1/100 master grade. I've also got a 1/144 model of wing zero custom that I haven't built yet (too lazy). There's a hobby shop that's fairly far away from where I live. Remember that sniper shooting scare in Maryland a couple years back? Well the hobby shop is located right across from a gas station where someone was gunned down. My uncle sends one over every so often from Hong Kong, and I got the wing zero at otakon 2003 for $5 when they were trying to clean out merchandise.
Speaking of otakon, you ever went? I'm thinking of going again this year but I'm haing a tough time deciding whether to go for 3 days or just 1. Hotels there cost your left kidney and I don't live close enough to drive there everyday.

I'm not a big fan of anime cons in general... The whole cosplaying thing scares the hell out of me and I don't like talking to people who insert words like "kawaii" into every sentence. Honestly, most anime fans frighten and confuse me. >.<

true true...these people certainly do posses a rather...colorful subculture. I rather like cons though--fun people to stare at, and all the overpriced anime paraphernalia (sp?) you can shake you twenty dollar bills at. I know people who are absolutely embarassed by the idea of anime watching and shun people who openly admit to enjoying anime. Its like watching anime is some sort of taboo to them.
