The best writing comes in the shortest amount of space, I've heard. This story was poignant, charged, and fulfilling. Perfect.

Well, as far as the nomination goes, it was the date on the copy posted on ff.net that was the clincher. It had to be pre 03/31/2004. That apparently took a bit of effort on the examiner's part. Then someone else popped up to offer the actual link to the ff page. So, given the effort, that could also count for two votes. At least neither of these people wanted to see you disqualified and took some actual action to see that you stay in the running.

Interestingly enough; nomination does not constitute voting. I may still vote for some one else. :bounce:

Don't suppose I will though. The only other writer up for Best Oneshot that I like is a professional who is doing this for jollies. Good work kid, try to stay away from them evil adverbs. Stephen King says that they're bad. They're probably why I can't write worth a rat's ass.
