Blissful Ignorance

Trabia walked down the hallway with Edea, Elleon had almost had a heart attack when he relized his mother was in the bed. They had all almost passed out when they realized that Rinoa was still Rinoa Heartilly and she and her future husband had just had their first kiss--meaning they were 17. Trabia and Edea had almost immediately ran off to find their parents. Of course, Trabia got easily distracted.
"Hey baby" he said winking at a girl who blushed
"Keep going," Edea said sharply. Trabia rolled his eyes. He saw a young woman coming down with short brown hair.
"Hey there gorgous" someone grabbed his arm
"Who are you hitting on?" a sharp voice asked
"That gorgous creature" Trabia said. He heard a rifel being cocked and immediately pulled out his own two handguns and pointed them at the man infront of her.
"I do hope you realize you just hit on your mom" Edea said dryly
"Huh?"
"What?" Selphie and Irvine looked at each other and back at Trabia who had put his guns back in his holsters
'Mom?!" Trabia cried "Oh my god!" he looked at Irvine "You were going to shoot me!"
"You were hitting on his wife!" Edea cried
"We-we're not married" Selphie and Irvine said slowly
"You were hitting on his girlfriend!" Edea corrected herself
"No, we're not g--"
"Like I knew!" he said interuptiing them and grinned wickedly "And she is gorgous, where do you think I got half my good looks from" Selphie blushed furiously
"So you're m-our son?" Irvine asked looking at him
"Trabia Kinneas" he said bowing dramatically "At your service" Selphie threw herself at him, hugging him tightly.

Squall stared at Elleon, this was--this was too much. He couldn't be a father, no way. Rinoa looked equally shaken up, but happy just the same. But Rinoa, Rinoa could be a mother, absolutely. There was no doubt in Squalls mind. But the resemblance between Squall and him was too much for it to be a mistake. To add to the fire, elleon had a gunblade--more specifically--he had Squall's gunblade and a rather large tatoo on his arm of a lion and the Greiver--and a large gash that forced the nurse to drag him away to stitch up.
"He's our son" Squall repeated numbly, "How--I'm not a father. I can't be a father, I didn't have one. How in hell am I supposed to be one?"
"I think you'd make a good father" Rinoa said taking his hand. Squall looked at her, she smiled at him
"I agree" they turned to see Elleon standing in the doorway, bandages snaking up his arms "But what do I know? I'm just your son"

Edea wasn't sure she wanted to meet her parents. According to her father her mother had been a stuck-up bitch at 18 and her mother said her father was the cockiest thing walking at the same age. Needless to say they weren't shedualed to fall in love for a while.
"Seifer! You can't just run off like this!"
"Worried about me Quistis?"
"I'm worried about the tracking device your taking"
"Fine, I'll download the date, keep it"
"Seifer Almasy you aren't leaving this room"
"And who's going to stop me? You? Yeah, right" Edea stifflied a laugh, if they were in her time her parents would be making out right now.
"Who are you?" Seifer demanded "Quistis?"
"?'ve never seen her before" Quistis said "Who are you?"
"Edea" she said. They both pulled out their weapons at the sound of that name. "Edea Almasy" she said, their weapons came up "I'm your daughterr from the future!" she cried "Ask Squall and Rinoa, they're with Elleon right now" they traded a glance and lowered their weapons
"If they don't confirm, you're going strait to the cells understand?"
"Yes ma'm"
"Good, now lets go"

"Squall! Rinoa!" Quistis came inside. They looked at the Squall-duplicate who stared back at them with Rinoa's eyes. "Oh no, she's not lying"
"I marry you? Why in hell would I do that?!"
"Why would I marry you?!" Quistis demanded. Edea sighed as they left bickering.

Squall and Elleon had been kicked out again, the nurse yelling that Rinoa needed rest or there would be no Elleon. Now Squall couldn't say anything. he couldn't even comprehend he had a son. The only thing that gave him comfort was the fact it was with Rinoa.
"Is she alright in your time?" he asked. Elleon looked at his father
"Yeah, she's fine. She is a soceress, but she controls her powers. Balamb gardens has it's own socery section--for socerers, to train them in how to control their powers, i attended for a bit but my gunbalde training got in the way"
"You're a socerer?" Squall asked sharply
"Well yeah. I wasn't supposed to be, mom never passed her powers onto me, but somehow I got them"
"So you're a gunblade weilding socreer?" Squall asked him. he nodded. Squall ran a hand through his hair "Hard to imagine?"
"You have no idea" Squall muttered.
"What's wrong with mom?" he asked
"She was tortured and almost posessed by a bunch of shadows, we think they're a soceress" Elleon looked away "Why?"
"Her name's Ashaer, she works for Na'veckna, a very powerful socereess"
"Why does she want Rinoa dead?"
"It's not Rinoa she wants dead--it's me" Squall stared at him
"Why?"
"Because" Elleon took a breath "Because I'm the commander of an eliet unit of SeeDs, Na'veckna is a soceress who wants to rule everything. You and mom pose a threat but a gunblade weilding socerer poses a greater one to her, plus--" he paused
"What?"
"I kind of killed her daughter, son and the rest of her family"

okay next few chapters:
Irvine and Selphie have GOT to talk---so that happens
Trabia comes to terms with hitting on his mom, nearly getting shot by his dad and the fact his mom's not with his dad yet
Quistis and Seifer will continue to fight strongly and curse each other out
Elleon gets to have a father-son thing with Squall (aka a fun gunblade duel)
and some other stuff too

so get ready and keep reading (i know the views rate is going up and that makes me happy!), reviews would be nice but i'm not going to discontinue the story if i don't get any

oh just a note, I know Elleon is not the name Ellone (Squall's sister). Elleon just sounded better for Squall's son than a girl's name (come on, who name's their son after their sister?), so i just made the names frighteningly similar.

"Get back here cowboy!" Elleon shook his head as Trabia ran down the hallway, chased by a ton of girls. He deserved it, always dropping pickup lines and winking at girls--he was a total ladies man.
"Hey you" Elleon turned to see Rinoa standing behind him--older Rinoa, Rinoa his mom.
"Mom?"
"Walk with me, come on" he walked with his mother
"Mom, when i was going--the Garden, are you alive?" Rinoa smiled
"I'm pretty sure I am, the Socery students and I made it out in time"
"Dad?"
"Your father's fine too" Rinoa said "Now, I want to talk to you about this past thing--you can't alter it understand? No talking about what's going to happen in the future, let things happen in their own time--unless one of you starts to dissapear"
"What?"
"You weren't supposed to go back, I only just gained memories of you when I was 17. Na'Veckna sent you back to try and alter time. If one of you starts to dissapear, something is drastically wrong and you must correct it"
"I understand" Elleon said seriously
"I knew you would" Rinoa said "Oh, don't try to take a hotdog from Zell. I've sent Seifer back to talk to Edea, her's is the most drastic situation"
"What about Trabia?"
"Cedric's parents get together in their own time" Rinoa said gently, calling Trabia by his first name
"Mom, his mom's dating another guy!"
"Elleon Leonheart, don't assume anything" she said sharply. "What happened to your arm?"
"I got it during the fall down" Rinoa nodded
"When is this? I know a little but not all of it"
"This" he motioned around "You're 17, dad too...he's way more serious now, but still cool, he's terified of the fact he's going to be a father. You're in the hospital, you were captured by the Shadows and he came and saved you along with Seifer and Quistis--that's it so far" Rinoa laughed
"I remember when you were first born, he was terrified" she smiled "But he really grew into the part, look how you turned out"
"What about when yo--" she shook her head
"Don't, it's in the past and ?ou and I are just fine now, that's what matters" she hugged him
"can you bring us back?" Elleon asked. Rinoa shook her head
"Nope, you've got to figure that out yourself Lion" He nodded. She hugged him again tightly "I have total faith in you, hurry back" Rinoa vanished. Elleon groaned, he hated figuring things out like this. Pulling out his radio he contacted Trabia and Edea.

Rinoa was sleeping peacefully when suddenly she found herself in a black world with shadows pressing in on her eyes.
"Where am I?"
"my lair" Ashaer said standing infront of Rinoa
"What do you want with me? You have a body--"
"And you have a son who foils all our plans"
"Good! He should!" she said bravely. Ashaer laughed coldly and cruelly. She grabed Rinoa's neck and plunged her hands into Rinoa's chest.
"You're power will make me stronger, your power will give me what I need!" she shouted

Doctors scrambled over Rinoa, trying to get some life into her. Finally they revived her, but she was in a coma and not stable.
"Get headmaster leonheart" one doctor said "he'd want to know" Elleon heard them talking and he ran off to find his father.

Squall finished up his paper-work, filing it away so he could see Rinoa. Elleon ran into the office, red faced and panting. Squall looked up quickly.
"Mo...mom....bad....v...very....b....a......not more running!" Squall took off running with Elleon on his heels. They ran into the infirmary
"Where is she?" Squall asked
"Headmaster Leonheart" they turned to see a doctor who looked at Elleon, extremely confused but shrugged it off ""Ms. Heartilly just stopped an hour ago"
"Stopped?"
"Yes, stopped. No pulse, no breathing--just stopped. We revived her but she's in a coma and not stable" Elleon began patting himself down "Are you alright?"
"Fine" he said pulling off his gloves and checking his hands
"May i-we see her?"
"Yes" the doctor said letting them through.
"What are you doing?" Squall asked sharply
"If this ?sn't supposed to happen I start to dissapear--if it is I stay"
"Staying or dissapearing?"
"Staying" he said pulling on his gloves again. Together they walked through the door.

Irvine bowed his head, letting the wind rush past him. Sighing he closed his eyes. He and Selphie had a son, a son. Irvine knew he needed Selphie, he had needed her since his time in the orphanage. But Selphie deserved better than a womanizing ladies man like him. Irivne shook his head, who was he to decide what Selphie needed? a small part of him hoped that she needed him. Irvine had realized he needed Selphie, he like selphie a lot, too late. He saw her with Charlie, (aka the library girl's brother). Saw her leaving with him. She'd turned and looked at him, winking and tipping his hat. He'd grinned back before turning to the blond he was talking too. Irvine decided if he couldn't be with Selphie romantically then he'd be the best friend he possibly could.
"Irvine" Irvine turned to see Charlie standing in the doorway "You got a minuet?"
"Yeah"
"I just me this in the hallway" he pulled Trabia onto the balcony
"Hey dad' he said waving lazilyl
"He claims to be 1/2 yours and 1/2 selphie's" he said "How?"
"Well when two people love each other--" Irvine looked at him sharply "Okay I'm going" he said
"No, your sta?ing" Charlie looked at him "Well? One night stand? Marriage? How do you come about. Why does Selphie leave me for that?" he looked at Irvine "You know what? I don't care--I love Selphie and I'm not letting her go" he stormed out. Trabia patted himself down.
"Phew, i'm not disapearing" he said relieved.
"I-Irvy?" Irvine looked up at Selphie. She let out a ragged sob and threw herself into his arms.
"Hey, what's wrong Sef?" Selphie just cried harder "Sef? Butterfly what is it?" he used his private nickname for her, he was the only one who could call her it, like she was the only one who could call him Irvy.
"R-r-rinoa, s-she just stopped" Selphie sobbed hugging Irvine tightly. He hugged her back with equal force. Trabia just sighed and rolled his eyes.

Edea walked along the hallway, very confused.
"So is your mother still a haughty bitch at this age?" Edea turned to see an older Seifer standing by the wall, arms crossed and smirking.
"Dad!" Edea jumped up and hugged him tightly. Seifer looked at her.
"What's wrong?" he asked
"I'm just glad to see you" she said "You two are always bickering, real bickering not the kind you do from my time. How do i come about?" Seifer sighed, remembering what it was like when he was 18.
"Seifer what are you doing?" they both turned to see Quistis standing in the doorway "Sei--what the hell happened to you?"
"This is dad--from the future" Quistis fainted, just as the present Seifer was walking by. He turned and caught her.
"What happened to you?" he asked
"Let things happen as they should, no matchmaking understood?"
"Yes dad" older Seifer smiled
"N?w I'v got to get back to my time before Rinoa kills me" he hugged her again "Try to help Elleon find a way to get you guys back okay?" she nodded. older Seifer vanished with a flash. Edea peaked around the wall, Seifer was walking out of the room with Quistis in his arms, heading for the infirmary.

Rinoa sighed and ran a hand through her long black hair. Strong arms pulled her into a familiar embrace.
"He'll be alright" Squall assured his wife "He's strong"
"I know, I can't help but worry" she said closing her eyes. Suddenly her hand went numb. Rinoa looked at her hand and saw air. Squall stared too. "Ashaer, she's doing something--" Rinoa said softly "Something wasn't supposed to happen--" she shuddered and passed out.
"Lane!" Squall called. In an instant Lane was next to them "Lane go back in time, something's seriously wrong" Lane nodded and turned, quickly casting the correct spell. He waved and dove through the portal.

Elleon looked at his mother's still form. Something slammed into the ground. Elleon and Squall both turned to see Lane straitening up. He looked identical to Elleon but his hair was black and his eyes were a pale blue-grey.
"Well I see you managed to screw this up" Lane said, his eyes dancing wickedly
"As I always do" Elleon said smirking "That's why I have you to fix it up"'
"Right" Lane looked at Squall "Lane Leonheart" he said "The unfortunate Twin of him" he jerked his head at Elleon "And Headmaster of the Socery program at the Garden" he offered a hand which Squall shook numbly.
"Why are you back here?" Elleon asked
"Mom just began to dissapear, I'm here to figure out why" Squall looked for weapons and found none "I don't fight" Lane said walked over to RInoa
"Everyone fights"
"I am an intelectual!" Lane said indgnantly "Not a mindless warrior!" he turned to Rinoa and looked at her for five minuets
"she's in some sort of dream state" Elleon said "You won't find it by looking"
"On the contrary" Lane pulled one of her eyelids back, her eyes were a mass of swirrling black shadows, not brown. Elleon rolled his eyes. Lane rolled up his sleeves and covered Rinoa's eyes with his hand, closing his own, quickly he opened them "No shaking, waking or doing anything to stop me understand?"
"No" Elleon said. Lane rolled his eyes and grabbed Elleon's hand wretching the glove off to reveal air "Okay then, no stopping you unless you contact me"
"Good" he said "Don't screw this up" Elleon said. Lane laughed and closed his eyes again. Lane collapsed and was caught by his brother who got a nurse to bring another cot and set it up. Elleon was reading like a comatose patient. Between them Squall and Elleon convinced the staff to let Lane be in the same room as Rinoa. Elleon sighed, this was going to be a long wait.

Danielle Kinneas was a year younger than her brother Cedric. She watched lane vanish into the portal and turned to Adian Almsay, anguish in her blue eyes.
"Shh Dani, it's okay" Adian said "He'll be fine"
"What about Trabia? Or Edea?" Elanor asked tearfully "What about Elleon and Lane? They can't all get back okay can they?"
"We can only hope" Adian said quietly
"I don't want to hope! I want to do something!" she yelled. "I want my brother back! Now lets go!"
"Any idea how?" Adian asked crossing her arms.

10 minuets later the portal opened again and Adian and Dani fell through. Elleon's eyes widened.
"Danielle Kinneas you are insaine!" Adian yelled furiously
"Oo I can't argue with that" Dani groaned getting to her feet, she looked up at the portal and waved. "Now then--oh hey Elleon, what happened to Lane?!"
"Lane's trying to save my mom now what are you doing back here?!"
"I--uh--we were worried" Dani said crossing her arms defensively
"Worried, Hyne give me strength" Elleon groaned
"The only thing Hyne should give you is a good kick up the--" Adian began
"Adian!" Edea hugged her sister
"Edea!" Adian gripped her back with equal force.
"Dani what are you doing here?!" Trabia cried gripping his sister
"I got scared okay?! I didn't know what was going on!"
"And we all know how you hate that" Trabia joked
"You know I do"
"There's another?!" everyone turned to see a shell-shocked Quistis staring at Adian. Seifer came up behind her.
"Th-there's more?" he stared shell-shocked "We stay married?"
"Stay married?" Adian laughed "WHy wouldn't you two?"
"Because their 18 right now, you know what they said about each other" Edea said. Adian stopped laughing
"Oh right"
"What'd we say about each other?" Quistis and Seifer said at the same time looking at their future daughters who traded glances.
"Irvy if you'd just done it normally this wouldn't have happened!" Selphie's voice cried. Dani and Trabia traded glanes and ran out to the hallway. Selphie was supporting Irvine who had clearly been shot and right now they both looked like they were going to pass out when they spotted Dani.
"Uh mom, dad this is Danielle Butterfly Kinneas, my sister" Trabia said slinging an arm around her shoulders. Dani smiled at them.
"What the hell happened?!" shriked another nurse
"Irvine's been shot" Selphie said. The Nurse pulled the cowboy onto a streatcher.
"I need an OR now" she said into a microphone "I repeat I need an OR now, emergancy surgery" They weeled him down the hallway. Irvine's last comprehensible thought was: I have a family. Selphie waited for hours before she left the room, needing to get away.

Selphie looked around the balcony where Charlie shot Irvine. The people still had yet to clean off the smudge of blood on the ground.
"Eh don't worry mom" Selphie gasped and turned to see Trabia leaning against the wall "It happens, just a bit more in the future" Dani nodded to emphasize her point. She bent down and picked up Irvine's cowboy hat.
"Here" she said and stood on her tippy-toes, placing the hat securely on Selphie's head. "Don't worry, he'll be fine"
"Selphie?" they turned to see Quistis in the hallway, beaming "Irvine's going to be fine, the doctors just got him out of surgery, he's recovering but--" Selphie gave a joyous shout and ran out of the balcony towards Irvine "They have no idea how he survived"
"huh?!" the kids shouted
"Well Irvine got a criticle gunshot wound, it's a miracle he's out so quickly"

Selphie rested her head on Irvine's bed and looked at the sleeping cowboy. She entwined her fingers with his, careful of the iv and looked at his limp hand, then back to his face. Closing her eyes Selphie let out a happy sigh and fell asleep.

She woke to someone running their hands lazily through her hair. Selphie opened her eyes to find she was in the bed with Irvine, her head on his chest and he was running a hand through her hair. She looked up and smiled at him.
"Hey butterfly" he said simling slightly, still groggy from the surgery.
"Hey Irvy" she said, similng wider
"You looked uncomfotable, I thought you'd be better up here with me" Selphie nodded and closed her eyes, hugging him securly but being careful of the gunshot wound.
"We're going to have to talk soon" she said quietly and in the most serious tone she could muster
"'bout what?" Irvine asked sleepily
"Well we have a family soon and--and Irvy we haven't even kissed yet" she said opening her eyes. Irvine used the controls on the bed to raise them both to a sitting position. He tilted her head up to look at her and pressed his lips to hers, kissing her without heasitation or fear but with love and a promise of things to come. They pulled apart.
"There, first kiss of many" he said and lowered the bed again "Now go to sleep butterfly" Selphie smiled and snuggled closer, falling sound asleep in his arms deciding this beat the heck out of any bed she'd ever slept in.

second daughter of Seifer and Quistis, is a gunblade master and likes to trade insults with Elleon Leonheart.

called Trabia, he is Selphie and Irvine's first born son who has followed in his father's footsteps as a Ladies Man and a Sniper

Danielle Butterfly Kinneas
Dani's the daughter of Selphie and Irvine and is as bright and optimistic as her mother, is extremely headstrong and is the leap before you look type.

Elleon Leonheart
son of Rinoa and Squall and Lane;s twin, he's a gunblade master and the leader of the SeeDs team. Elleon also is gifted in magic and a strong fighter.

Laguna Leonheart
called Lane, he's son of Rinoa and Squall and Elleon's twin. For some reason he has an unnaturally strong socerer and prefers to think instead of be a 'mindless warrior'. He's the headmaster of the garden's Socery program in the future. He and Elleon are incredibly close though they are complete opposites.

Lane dropped and fell into the prison created by Ashaer.
"Mom?!" he shouted "Where are you?!" the 17 year old version of his mother whipped around to face him. "Mom!" Lane ran foward, only to be stopped by the Shadows. Something flickered in his eyes and they narrowed.
"Ashear" he whispered. The Shadows blew apart to reveal the girl with long silver hair and sky blue eyes "Ashaer!" he cried, shocked "What are you doing?!"
"I am doing Na'Veckna's will" she said
"Why in the hells are you doing that?!" he cried
"Why wouldn't I?" she asked calmly
"WHy would--why wouldn't you? Let's see, Na'Veckna's insaine and the sworn enemy of your mother!"
"No! You're trying to distract me! You killed her, not Na'Veckna, Na'Veckna saved me!" cried Ashaer "You tried to kill me!"
"Na'Veckna didn't kill anyone, your mother killed herself Ashaer when you were little, Na'Veckna didn't save anyone" Ashaer laughed coldly.
"I will not be tricked so easily Socerer" she laughed coldly
"Then maybe you'll be killed easily" Lane said and collected power in his hands
"Not so fast socerer, what about mommy dearest here" she said
"What about her?" Lane said vanishing and reapering behind her, slamming the spell into her. Ashaer cried out and took the hit but part of it hit Rinoa. They both fell.
"Mom!" Lane ran over "Mom?" Rinoa opened her eyes sleepily "Mom do not close your eyes, I've got to send you back" he said "Stay awake, I'll heal you when I get back"
"I have another son?" she asked, touching his cheek "You look like Elleon"
"I'm Lane--Laguna but no one calls me that, we're twins mom" he said "Now hold still" she nodded. "This is going to hurt--grip your ring" Rinoa clutched the rings and looked at him puzzled "Just think of Dad" pain assaulted her, forcing her to shut her eyes against it.

The monitors on both the socerers began to go haywire. Rinoa came back first--her eyes flew open, filled with black and she cried out as she was coming back, her eyes flickered from hazel to black shadows and back again. Lane's own grey-blue eyes opened and he jumped up pressing his hands to his mother's and casting a spell. The spell took effect and Rinoa came back fully.
"Rinoa!" Squall hugged her tightly. SHe gripped him back with equal force. Elleon sighed in relief
"thinking of Adian?" Lane mocked, Elleon glared at him "Oh you and her are still keeping this childish behavior up?" he faked suprise "When are you two going to get down to it?"
"Come on then, lets go find the others" Elleon said pulling his brother out of there.

In the future Squall was sitting by his wife's side looking at her still form and holding her hand.
"Rinoa, we've been through so much" he said softly "You can't die because of some soceress--" he tried not to think of her dying, she had almost died too many times.
'if you come here i'll be waiting'
'for what'
'for you, so if you come here'
'you'll find me, always'
'I promise'
Squall brushed a piece of hair from Rinoa's forehead, he found she was running a fever. Rinoa grimaced and tossed her head to the side. Squall let out a sigh of relief, she was just in a dream now.
"Rinoa" he said softly, she didn't wake up. He checked to make sure no-oen was looking and gathered her in his arms, hugging her and telling her it was alright and he was there. her eyes flew open and she looked up at him.
"It's alright, I'm not going anywhere" she said. He nodded and hugged her tightly
"How are the boys?" he asked putting her back and getting her a glass of water.
"they're fine" she said accepting the drink "Aparently you were terrified when you met Elleon" she said simling lightly. Squall sighed and shook his head, hiding a smile of his own "Lane too" she sighed "But you definitely grew into the part, that's what I told Elleon" she laughed "Do you remember when I told you I was pregnant with Twins? You almost had a heart attack" he laughed
"I remember, I hadn't been that silent since before I met you"
"But you weren't scared when they were born" she said looking at him serously
"I couldn't be" he admitted "I had to be strong for them--if I couldn't save you then i could save them" he said "You know I can't standby and do nothing" she nodded
"Don't I know it, neither can the boys"
