Wrong Courting Integra. I meant the one that the girl who writes it updates in her Live Journal. In which Integra is married and having a little fling with Alucard on the side. Poor pet. .always the fling and never the main man. *SNIV*

*whistles innocently*

Oh my! We certainly aren't doing the same in our rp sessions! Andrew isn't a man, he's TOO GOOD to be part of the human species ;)

You know CountRed, is kinda sad that our little random rp is longer, more IC, has more plot and is better written than some fics at ff.net? Depressed me, but there's some talented writers there at least. Mediaminer OTOH *shiver*

To Melrose:

The author's name is Angel, her fic is here: http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memori ... r=shdwanna (in memories)

There's also two smut fic of AxI =)

You may know her at the Pit of Voles, she's the same author of "Remember" (The most IC Hellsing's Christmas fic I have read), "Tea and Biscuits" (lovely Seras and Integra's conversation) and "Heat Wave" (one of the first AI at ff.net).

To Bishonen No Hime:

And humor inside Hellsing, it could be done without OOCness, just follow manga characterizations (which genres are actually Action/Humor).

In my opinion, I prefer intense AI fics while I let the humor ones to PS (because you can't write Seras and Pip together without some degree of silliness (it will be OOC).

Btw, I enjoyed very much the first part of your fic (I read it at adultfanfiction.net).

After I finish my attempt of IC vampire_Integra fic without AxI, I'll try to write a sequel with AxI (as a gift to CountRed).

The thing is though, a lot of people don't or didn't have the Hellsing Manga to go on. I know, I know, you can get scanlations before the actual manga comes out over here right? The thing is though, when I first got into Hellsing, Dec. 2003, I went looking for scanalations of the manga on the internet. I could find a couple of chapters from book three, but nothing else for a long time. All the websites said go to Crunchy Cheese for translations of the first two mangas. Crunchy Cheese no longer existed at that time. And it's hard to base characterizations on three chapters, especially if they don't have all the characters in them.
So anyone who came in within the last year didn't really have a whole lot to go on. Especially when Dark Horse announced in like March or Apirl that they had the rights to bring it over, so just about every where I could find dropped Hellsing scanalations like hot potatoes. Sorry, cheesey wording....
But then again, I'm not really the best internet searcher in the world so, I could have been missing some great resourse somewhere.
But you see where I'm going, right? It's hard to base fanfiction on the manga characterizations when you don't have the manga. But now, nobody has any real excuses, now do they?

Oh, two more things and then I promise I'll shut up.

1). Thank you Thess, I'm glad you liked my story on AFF. Was everyone in character? I'm rewriting the first chapter to make things a little clearer. That's why the next one isn't out yet.

2)I think I found the 'Courting Integra' CountRed was referring to. Is it the one at: http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memori ... r=shdwanna ?That's the only other one I could find.

Now see, I'm shutting up.

Actually, the scanlations are available through mIRC http://www.randommanga.cjb.net/

Go there to get the channel name and such, then go into the chat and DL the manga.

Hey since were talking scanlations, does anyone know where I can find text translations? need it badly...

Well, as for AxI, I really think its a true challenge to write them IC.

I think it also depends on the author's style or writing. They can be so IC, but if the plot and grammar sucks, I'm not reading it. There are lot of that in FF.net. Check your grammar, people!(heehehehe...I do have occasional spelling mistakes, though)

What I like about humor fics is that I get a little laugh from them, that I am entertained. It matters to me that they are IC, but not that much. I give a little leeway when it comes to comedy fics, but when it comes to serious ones, I want Integral and Alucard to be in character.
I just can't relate to a serious fic when the characters iare so OOC.

I agree with Bishonen no Hime. It is hard to access the manga, and most people are aware only of the Hellsing anime. So some people may just 'wing it' when it comes to Hellsing humor.

Hey, I've seen Courting Integral! Will be reading more, as soon as I finish The Hellsing Heir 17. Gads, writing Hellsing fanfiction is TOUGH. Keeping them in character is so hard....

I tried to keep Integra and the rest of the gang "in character" for New Orders... but the situation is not one that I would actually see...

Pit of Voles... I like that...

heh.. Tea and Biscuits was one of the first Hellsing fics I read... Angel writes wonderfully.

She's my hero, alright she and Lise and Mr. Mitts are my models to follow *gleam*

Yes, I am aware of that BnH, a year ago was 'ok', but now with the manga out and the scalations easy to find there's no excuse for writing humor TOO much OOC (noticed, they will be ALWAYS be a degree. Hell, the anime is OOC with the manga ;) ). I.E. you cannot write SP without a good degree of humour and bickering, is just inside their souls <3 Oh yes, I am a rabid PxS fangirl.
