Thanks, glad to be of service
I've spent a loooooooong time analyzing Integra and I doubt she will be an angsty vampire or an eeeeeevil one. She would be herself with fangs. Vlad Tepes->Alucard is there so much difference? He's still arrogant, psychotic, with his twisted sense of justice and his unshakable loyalty to the ones he considered worthy. The same with Seras, she's still a na?ve yet promising police woman with her ethics.
Integra is a practical being: autocrat and perfectionist. She would never angst about her condition or refuse to drink blood. She does terrible things to accomplish her goals already, therefore eliminating the melodrama. Of course still faithful to death to the Crown and the Anglican Church. Darn now I want to write my vampire_Integra fic >.<

Oh my gosh, Thess! You should totally do it. I would love to read it, I'm sure it would be amazing, seeing how much insight you have on the series. Go, write, go now!!!!

A vampire!Integra AxI fic. I mean really, I seriously see the lack of good, regularly updated *cough cough COURTING INTEGRA cough* AxI fan fiction. I realize that this is not supposed to be a romantic pair, but really, we're a society that has been weaned on fairty tales of the romantic and what a woman is supposed to be like and what the knight in shining armor is supposed to be like. Even Integra says that, she was expecting a knight. Instead, she became one herself. Their relationship is not full of flowers and chocolate and waltzes. It's blood and possession and dominance. They're like a good tango, each trying to dominate in their own way, a back and forth between seats of power. But they won't let anyone else cut in. And when they do work together it's bloody brilliant.
There are a few key points about GOOD AxI that I seem to have noticed that I think are key: History. Know you're Dracula, people. Dialogue, know the difference between American and British use of English. Know the context, no flowers, no candy. Alucard is more likely to bring her the heart of her enemy as a romantic gift. And for the love of God. . . SMUT.
I'm not very linear. If this makes no sense at all. . .just. . ignore it.

I have an idea... but it wont be AxI, set in the future (but explained thanks to flashbacks), no bite, no romance. I could pull out an open ending, but I sensed the vampire_Integra with AxI is already clich? in the fandom, therefore I shall avoid sterotypes (besides I want to write Integra-as-vampire not Integra-getting-on-with-Alucard for now).
Then again, I need to finish Black Knight, White Queen first.

I am in the stages of planning and plotting a 'future' Hellsing world. Integra is a vampire. She returns to her beloved city to aid the current Hellsing leader.
I see her after all these years as being the same, yet perhaps a bit more light hearted... but I will have to see how it pans out when it gets ot paper

In mine she never leaves. She's still the leader. I believe Integra enjoys her work. Why? Power and control. She's all about that mixed with honour and duty. She likes killing the plagues, she enjoys killing the impure. Traditional vampires hardly left their lands they were born.
I actually has written (and re-written) the Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and I am working on chapter 3. I plan Alucard to appear in chapter 4. But I need a beta -_-;
In my lj there's a description of my villians, the three leaders of the 'Asuras'

SMS, I congradulate you on writing such a wonderful story! True, I don't know much about the Hellsing-universe but that's slowly subsiding. *grins* The lack of a lemon slightly disappointed the hentai in me... but all in all, I thought that this was fabulous.
