A couple of things: Dorothy will never be loved by anyone. EVer. Ew. Just...ew.

Heero isn't going to win any awards if we barely get to see him.

I LOVE the Noin and Milliardo bits. I really do. It just makes the story so much more fun, exciting, and enjoyable. Not to mention WONDERFUL.

ahh twas a great chapter! and well worth the wait! I've probably said this before, but this chapter just showcased it so well. Your descriptions are so fluid, and easy to read, not to mention your conversations. Especially the one between Quatre and Dorothy, I can't imagine that had been easy to write.

I love the idea of Heero being Trowa's brother! and I wish Quatre would stop saying you worry too much, that way they'd discusse it furhter and I'd actually have some answers about his past ^_^

So who is this mysterious man in Dorothy's life? I figure he has to be someone important since you refused to mention his name. Also could it possibly be that Dorothy's present from her grandfather, is in fact Duo? could that be a possibility? *hoping* I think he'd make a fine gladiator.

I must say I feel kind of sorry for Zechs ^_~ he's like a lamb being lead to slaughter....though the actual 'slaughtering' I'm sure he won't mind.

Excellent story! I can't wait for the next chapter (hopefully with more Heero! ^_^)

Oh blah. You worry far too much, you know. This turned out well, though you might want to watch having large chunks of narration w/o some sort of internal or external dialogue. For instance, Dorothy's scene and thoughts had no break until Quatre finally showed up and spoke. You could have easily added in some internal dialogue in Dorothy's head.

I do like the Milliard/Noin interaction, and though I can't say I'm familiar with the Caesar/Cleopatra legends, I find their mutual, if hidden, attractions and competing desires to gain dominance over the other quite interesting.

And, as always, I'm looking forward to Relena perhaps "availing herself" of her slave.

Okay... okay, so I've been a slacker and haven't written a review... but I'm pretty sure you know how I feel about this fic. But if you've forgotten...

This fic is a marvel. All the hard work and research that you've put into this story shows in each scene and word you've written. The interaction between Noin and Zechs was wonderful, and fit with most of the myths/stories written about Ceaser and Cleopatra I've read/heard.

So when does Relena get to have her slave do her bidding???

Yay! Another chapter. I love this story so much. I especially loved the 4xD scene. To be honest, I like Dorothy. She's a pretty complex character and it's always fun to watch the sparks fly between Dorothy and Quatre.

As for the new Gladiator...ten bucks says it's a certain braided pilot who looks pretty damn hot in black...

Although it would be pretty damn funny if it were krusty. But I don't know about the loin cloth. *shudders* (bad mental image. Must replace with better one...hmmmm...duo in a loin cloth. Or Heero....Hell, why not all of them while we're at it... )

Can't wait for the next chapter.

You're right about that. And it was even more obvious to me when I went back and read the scene again. I don't know... I think maybe the sheer nervousness of making a hash of Dorothy's character made me shy away from too much internal dialouge? *hugs* I'll be sure to keep an eye on that now though.

Dorothy does rock, doesn't she?! ^______^ 4xD was never a pairing that I had given much thought prior to starting CE, but now... I love them! They're just so not cut and dried, you know? There's so much room for conflict and clashes of temperament. Such fun.

I fear that perhaps everyone on this site just think they know me too well. Most reviews I got on ff.net got quite upset because I killed off Duo. Everyone here thinks I have an alterior motive.

wow!! that was really really good!! i really love reading fanfictions with Heero and Relena set on the past!! coz i think Heero will really look good ug medieval clothing or in a tunic!! *drool*

however, i find the few parts bewildering:

*i'm quite confuse who Dorothy's lover is? it can't be Quatre, can't it? because how can he get upset when he find-out that Dorothy is already bethrode?? and i don't think it's Trowa either, because how can he find it amusing when he notices that Quatre is quite destracted by 'Lady Dorothy'??!!! :-?


*i'm also confuse who Trowa was referring to with the line:
