I think, but am not positive, that BN is selling it for about $12.88 or something.

I'm actually hoping to buy it this week, bills be damned! And I'll need to take it off my Christmas Wish List.

I'M SSSSSSSOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stop giggling!!

I found out that the comic shops got them first because it is done by Dark Horse, which is, duh, a comic company. I got the last one at the comic shop in my town.

Ne, Beck, or whoever else has the manga,
What do you think of Anderson's accent in the manga? Just curious.

I actully haven't had time to read it yet but after seeing what you wrote, I looked over his parts last night and kinda cringed. I really don't know what I think about the accent and to see it put into words like that. What do you think?

And something I have noticed. With the 1st manga, Alucard doesn't look as serious with his design, yet once you get deeper into the other volumes, there is a HUGE difference.

As far as Anderson goes, I can see giving him an Irish accent to an extent because he does look like he could be Irish, and with the fact that a majority of the Irish are Catholic, it fits. But, I think they went way over board with it. Cause I mean, it's to the extent that I have some trouble understanding some of this lines!! That's a little much.

An inflection on certain words I can see, like what they did with Heinkel. She's fine, it doesn't bug me at all.

You're right about Alucard's design. (I AM SSOOOOO happy that DH translated his name that way instead of 'Arucard'.) It's almost like the design in the 1st volume was a "work-in-progress" so to speak, and the design just evolved as it went on.

But, overall I'm happy with DH, at least VIZ didn't get it. Let's just hope they don't give Maxwell and the Nazi's overwhelming accents too!! I may write them an email...

Yeah... looking at the Japanese manga... Alucard and the others really do change in design... for instance in vol 6, Alucard looks almost girly. *snicker*

I hope that in the ENG Vol 2 they will print the 'real' covers somehow. eheh.

I don't mind 'reading' the accents.. but it does take some getting used to.
