Blissful Ignorance

Ahh that space whale fossil thingy....probably served no significant purpose to the plot other than to add to the crazy ideas of coordinators and evolution and such. Honestly I don't think the series did very well in delving into the social, scientific, and political aspects of coordinators. Sure they had one explantory episode and some thing about Kira being the ultimate coordinator, but it's still just not enough to quench my thirst for science fiction. If anything, SEED illustrates war and the military environment quite well, as all of the gundam series have. However, in adding such an intricate plot with the coordinators, they should have gone into greater detail.

Anyhoo it was still a shocker to see Kira score with Frey....never thought someone like him would do that but oh well....hmm has there ever been any gundam series with such...interesting relationships going on?

Yeah, probably. Still, I was hoping the whale had an Evangelion thing going... Like an alternate evolution of humanity or something...

It seems like they wanted to make Coordinators the new Newtypes but they didn't want to make them all that superior to Naturals. Really, Kira and Athrun are the only Coordinators in the series who're anything special, piloting wise.

This is probably the first time the protagonist of a Gundam series actually got laid and we know about it. I mean, Aina and Shiro in 08th almost certainly did it (remember the scene in the hot spring-type thing?) and Char is pedophile (Quess and Lalah...), not to mention Camille's lady troubles (how many chicks did he have hanging off of him? 4? 5?) but... Kira is 16 and actually got some tail! Whoo!

Yay! Its so nice of you to update as often as you do! This chapter was fabulous, as usual. The little bit with Bush and the computer games...I'll never be able to look at him the same way! *laughs*

And, since I'm a slacker, the next chapter, and last is up!! *happy dance*
