Waves, Hi Bookworm! I'm so addicted to books. I love fantasy and sci-fi, I'll basically read anything. I remember watching Sailor Moon back in the day before it even came to America (although I didn't understand a word of it!)

Anyway, hope to see some of your stuff around!

Oh, did I forget to mention I love food? That is another fact about me. If I didn't have two cooks (i.e. my mom and aunt), I would be cooking for myself. But I can bake some stuff, like brownies and muffins and cakes. As for real cooking, I let the two cooks handle it. U know, my cuz is much more skillful than me since she could actually cook some Filipino food. Of course we both could cook rice (i.e. the rice cooker). Though if I were in the P.I. back in the days when I used to live there, the rice would be cooked on the stove. In the US, my mom had to do that once due to a power shortage. That brought back memories. *sigh*
I love Filipino, Chinese, Thai, Italian, and American food. In that order. See how rice plays a prominent role in my list.

Ah were would I be without my trusty ole' rice cooker! ::pats rice cooker affectionately:: I love food too, my mom makes the best Japanese food on the planet! AND she makes it vegetarian for me! Actually my mom cooks the best everything, I dunno where I would be without her ::sigh::

My dad used to cook. Now that my aunt moved with us to help out, he doesn't. Actually, I think he forgot how to cook. When he bought this Filipino cookbook, he made new dishes that are sometimes not preferable. *sigh* He became too lazy. My palette (sp?) got used to my mom and aunt's cooking, so anything made by some of my family's Filipino (only some) are not to my liking. So if I want to rank who is the best, this would be it:

1. aunt (she cooks the most)
2. mom (grew up with her cooking)
3. my other aunts (whenever we come over their houses)
4. my cuz
5. dad (he doesn't cook as much)

And my dad used to make one of the best pansit ever. And my aunt is good at that, too. U can make veggie (since it consisted mostly of veggies neway) or with meat pansits. I luv pansit!!!! Hail pansit!!!!!!!!

Or am i so much like you?

Who knows? I'm not Filipino, mind you (i'm half chinese) but I'm the youngest, live in usa, and i love to read (romance hooks me, and i'm obsessed with fantasy as well). Now, i believe the loving food thing is just a typical azn characteristic, i maybe only half, but i got the full-blown azn appetite.
Got Rice?

It's also nice to meet someone else who joined BI back in 2002.

Hello Bookworm! You like Anne McCaffrey's books? Did you read the Dragonriders of Pern series? There is a great GW crossover with romance called A Gathering of Dragons (located in the Original Archives) by Nightheart, another BI member, which got me interested in Sci-Fi literature. You should read it if you get the chance.

Yeah!!!! I was wondering if Nightheart was the same one that was in Fanfiction.Net. I wondered where A Gathering of Dragons went since it was so interesting. I sooooooooo waited for the next chapter. Now that I can finally continue reading it, I'm happy!!! AGD is one of the GREATEST fanfic out there. (dances around)

To me, both fanfiction and books are the equal in my list.
I got a small room and have a 5-shelf bookcase and a 2-shelf bookcase in it. I've bought some storage boxes 2 for some of my books...u get my meaning. It means that I LOVE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some children's books that are stored in the basement; I'm not getting rid of it. I'm hoping to give it to my future kids (if I have any) or my godchildren or my nieces/nephews.
And I'm still buying them!

(Books and manga and anime.)
