I'll always think Kagome is more suited for Inuyasha because she loves him for who he is. She doesn't care if he's part youkai or not. Kikyo wanted him human for her...and now she wants him dead! Come on, people!

I agree with gethmane8, Kagome loves Inu for who he is, which I don't think he's used to...poor thing.

I have une question, s'il vous plait. If Kikyo's soul never found rest, would Kagome cease to exist? I know the Kikyo that's walking around isn't really the true Kikyo, but I couldn't help but wonder. Perhaps Inuyasha has more motivation than simply helping Kikyo find peace.

When addressing such a complicated question, one must analyze the benefits and pitfalls of both women, or rather the one woman and the one girl, therefor introducing the first downfall of Kagome, her woman hood. While Kikyou has blossomed and become the radiant (though dead and evil) curvy, woman that she is, Kagome shares that sweet girlish innocence that sends so many men into testosteronial (if that is a word) overdrive. Is Inuyasha turned on by Kikyou's matured feminine attributes, or Kagome's girlish innocence that may blossom into Kikyou equivalent proportions? You decide...

Future Kagome vs. Kikyou comparison questions to come...

ok...so after totally straying from the conversation by addressing my own point...I'll just say that Kagome is a sweetie, and kikyou is a bitch...unfortunately Inuyasha needs both haves...to satisfy his blood lust, Kikyou appears to be the sexy, perhaps even kinky lover, while Kagome can satisfy his domineering the sweet innocent school girl kick. Every man has one, but which one of Inuyasha's dominates?

What an easy answer for such a simple question.....Kagoma is better for Inyu. He thinks much of her and they always fight like a married couple. i know my parents fight!

Lots of people have different opinions on the subject...I personally choose Kagome, but alot of people I talk to choose Kikyou...why?....I may never understand. The only thing that strikes me as cool about kikyou, is her all around attitude...she IS a kick ass chick...attitude and skill...but her skill and kick-buttness doesn't compensate for her cold, heartless, hate for a misunderstanding...It's quite sad really........

whoa...this message board sure has grown since I first posted... anywho, I find reading other people's opinions on this touchy subject amusing, and I figured that since other people have talked more than once,
I can too.
So let's see, we are comparing Kagome and Kikyo in terms of who's the better girl for Inuyasha? Yes, well I always was a little biased against cold-hearted people, so again, I'm stating Kagome is the better girl. She's sweet, fun, and comes through when Inuyasha needs her most. Kikyo on the other hand...well, you all know that. She's not a bad person (at least, when she was alive) but she's kinda selfish wanting Inuyasha all to herself in hell when he ~cough~ belongs with kagome~cough~ I mean, doesn't belong to hell [yet]. And then she doesn't like him for wanting to be youkai, won't have him unless he's human, blah blah blah...Picky picky picky. Kagome? She's easy-going and sticks to Inuyasha no matter how he gets, what his actions, and even when he strays toward kikyo. She's madly in love with him, he returns her feelings, let's let them be the couple of the story! Kikyo's a kick-butt character, I love her strength, but let's face it, she's a meanie.

Just wanted to add my two little cents. I love Kagome and Inuyasha together. They have real chemistry and honest caring between them. I will always root for Kagome to win and I think she will. Unlike others, Kikyo ticks me off at times, but I don't hate her. I'd be kind of pissy too if I was murdered and thought the man I loved and trusted did it. Why she doesn't give up her hate? She's living on that hate. That's what keeps her going even if Inuyasha is innocent. And she has real competition now with Kagome. Kagome will win Inuyasha because she loves him for who he is, faults and all.

Kikyo and Inu Yasha had the classic "forbidden romance" back in the day when Kikyo was still kickin it and alive. It's hard to forget that kinda stuff... you know? Even though I think Kagome is clearly better for Inu Yasha, I can see why Inu Yasha's not jumping off the Kikyo bandwagon all so quickly,

Why is Kagome better for Inu Yasha? Well, Kagome has something that Inu Yasha lost a long while back- caring and innocence. Kikyo was always (even while living) the exact same as Inu Yasha- cold from seeing so many terrible things. They were both alone, so they were pretty much stuck with each other. Kind of like people on a deserted island.

If Kikyo wasn't already dead, she should have found someone a little... less depressed. Now she's busy trying to sink poor Inu Yasha into the underworld...
