*Winter chills* Kyoru paring lil dark & angsty

[This is my first fanfic...be gentle!!!]

I *sobs* do not own Fruits Basket or any of the characters. However, Kyo does manage to sneak into my dreams!!!

---A little dark, It was 3am when I was writing this. I don't know if there is going to be any lemons, maybe, maybe not. This is a Kyoru pairing, we'll see where this leads---







Tohru walked slowly home from work. She glanced up at the clear night sky. It was nearly winter now and the stars seemed to shine so bright. She smiled her bright smile and hugged herself, silently thanking Shigure yet again for buying her such warm winter clothes. She remembered when she came home two weeks ago, slightly chilled. She had been saving money for school and for holiday gifts, so buying new coat, gloves and a hat was the last thing on her mind.

[FLASHBACK]
Yuki had stayed with Manabe and Kuragi for student council, so she ended up walking home alone. She got to the house and heard the t.v in the other room on.
"Hello! I'm home!"
"Tohru! Welcome back my little flower! How was school?" Shigure leaned back from under the kotatsu. Kyo walked down the steps at Tohru's entrance. He eyed her closely and suddenly grabbed her hand. Tohru silently thanked Kami that her cheeks were red from the cold outside so that neither Shigure or Kyo would notice her blushing. Lately she had been blushing a lot by Kyo.
"You're freaking freezing! Did you even wear anything to keep you warm stupid??" Kyo yelled as he started rubbing her cold hands.
"Um, well I, uh, yes, my gloves they are um, right here..." Tohru pulled the thin gloves from her coat pocket. Shigure had since gotten up and walked over to Tohru. He grabbed the gloves and dramatically cried,
"Tohru! This is an absurdity! I cannot allow this to happen at all! How could you do this to yourself! Oh my little flower frozen in the cold!!!"
"Geeze moron, what would happen if you got sick again?"
Tohru felt like she was being bombarded with Shigure's wailing and Kyo's low voice.
"We cannot let this travesty continue!! We cannot! As the men of the household we should protect you from all enimies! The cold being the leading one of course..."
Kyo just shook his head and told Tohru, "Go upstairs and take a bath before you really do get sick."
"Um, yes, I will! And then I'll start dinner right away!"
She tupped up the stairs while Shigure and Kyo looked at each other briefly, and started to get their own winter coats on. Yuki had just appeared at he front door when they were wrapping their scarves around themselves.
"Where are you going?" he asked softly.
"Buying our little Tohru a gift!" Shigure said in singsong voice.
"She was practically frozen when she came home, she needs a new jacket." Kyo mumbled. He noticed how Yuki's usually passive eyes flashed with both worry and protectiveness. Though he would never admit it to that damn rat, he was sure that his eyes were just the same. By the time Tohru was finished warming up from her bath, there was a new package on her bed.

[END FLASHBACK]

They had ended up getting her a sherling coat with a hood, soft leather gloves lined with fur on the inside, wool lined boots and a cashmere scarf. 'Toasty toasty toasty' Tohru sang to herself. On the walk home she was mentally making notes on what presents to get everyone. She figured that she would just make gifts this year. It seemed so much more personal. She would just go to the store and get some rice paper and thin wood and make little lamps for the rest of the Zodiac members. She would even paint their symbol on the front and maybe create little figures to paste on. 'Good! I'll do that tomorrow!' she thought. 'Now what should I do for dinner...' She wanted something special since it was the first day of the holiday break. 'Maybe I will call Momiji and see if we can invite everyone else!' She thought happily. As she got to the house, she noticed a car parked in front. Recognizing it as Hatori's car. Opening the door she called out, "Hello! I'm home! Shigure? Kyo? Yuki? Is Hatori here? Is he staying for dinner?"

"Hello Tohru Honda. How are you this evening?" a soft, malicous voice floated from the front room. Tohru gasped as she saw Akito step out into view. "Close that door, I can't get sick now can I? If I do, who would be to blame hm?" Akito tilted his head lightly. Tohru slammed the door shut quickly, but couldn't form any words. If Akito was here, where was everyone else??? What is going on??? What should she do??

"I believe we have a few things to discuss Miss Honda. But first, that is a very fine coat. Where on earth did you get it?" She could feel Akito's slim fingers lightly at her shoulder, and instinctivly cringed. She had no idea what to do, she just hoped that someone would come soon......



TBC!!! Finally got tired and gonnag o to bed...R&R PLEASE!!! I really want to know what you guys want to hear next, or what you think, or jhust something!!!

That was a great start! if you don't get too many reviews yet, don't give up. This could become a really good story, I'll keep reading ^_^ (not too many people are writing furuba fics these days, so when ever i find someone who wants to carry on a story, i'm all for it)

That was nice... But what was Akito doing there? ahhhhh... it's one of those stories i would love to know more and more about... can't wait.... and Kyo... where is he? ah well... i will know.... just can't really wait....
