?Tomorrow afternoon!?

?Ack...I have got to go pack! See you this evening Hina-Chan.? With that said Sakura rushed out of the room to go pack.

Chapter 2- Rumors?.

?Lady Sakura?.you can not possibly be thinking of going with Princess Hinata to the Leaf Kingdom.? The old woman cried.

?Tsukushi?..don?t cry? I?m sorry but I have to?..beside?nothing?s left for me here. A sad expression crossed her face. Then she smiled at the old woman called Tsukushi. ?You can come too!?

?No...Lady Sakura?.I can not?..My life is here and I don?t intent to ever leave. I am too old to travel anyways.?

A sad smile appeared on the woman?s lips before she hugged Sakura. ?Ever since your beautiful mother died, I have been your care taker. You where a difficult child to raise, so stubborn, adventurous, and so fearless.?

?Everyone has always loved you?.beside that mindless greedy bastard you called your father. He loved his sword more than anyone, shocked me when Lady Sasamei married him.?

?But anyways?back to what I was saying, I loved every minute of raising you! And you?re a woman now so I guess I have got to let you go? So one day you may come back and see me?. Have fun on your trip and listen to Princess Hinata?s care taker!?

?Yes?Tsukushi...? Sakura whispered, blinking back tears, as she realized how much she?d miss Tsukushi. ?Stupid nagging old bag?she?s going to make me miss her??

Jade eyes scanned the sandy dunes of the Desert Of the vast Sand Kingdom. On the horizon there was caravan making its way slowly toward the spot where he hid in waiting for them. The man with jade eyes smirked.

It was nearly dawn and the Caravan would stop and rest for the day. From what he could tell the caravan had 20 guards or more in or around it.

?It?s a very wealthy Merchant, guys?possibly two or three slave women...for the Slave Market in Sand Kingdom. Take them if you want them?. We attack as soon as they have settled down for the day. Got it? Go tell the others, Shinta!? The Jade eyed man growled to the men behind him.

One of the men, Shinta, disappeared to go do as he was told, while the others continued to hide in the sand.

?Lord Gaara, everyone is in position.?

?Saku-Chan, I glad you are here I have something to tell you!? Hinata exclaimed.

?What do you have to tell me Hina-chan??

?Well, there is a rumor that the maids and the castle guards were talking about. About a gang of Bandits that robs every caravan that pass through the Desert of the Sand Kingdom. A few salve girls and a guard of a sand kingdom made it into one of the villages there. Their caravans had been attacked?.they were the only survivors. Misuki wouldn?t tell me anymore?she said it wasn?t fit for a princess, nor a lady of high status to hear.?

? Oh that?s sad but what has that got to do with us??

?We are passing through the Desert of the Sand Kingdom!?

Sakura paled. ?We are??

?Princess Hinata, don?t worry her with that falsehood.?

A voice said from behind them. Sakura spun around to face the door to Hinata?s room where the voice came from. A man with long chestnut brown hair stood in the door way, his white eyes glazing back at them.

Sakura squealed and lunched herself at him. ?Neji, when did you get back??

Neji smirked, as he caught her in his arms and hugged her.

?This afternoon?..the King has asked me to escort the Princess Hinata of the Hyuuga Kingdom and you Lady Sakura of Blue Lake and of Golden Mountain, to the Kingdom of Leaf, where the Princess Hinata of the Kingdom of Leaf is to met and stay with her betrothed, Crown Prince Naruto of Leaf Kingdom.?

Sakura made a face at Neji. ?Why so formal??

?I?m just repeating what the king said to me.?

?Such a bore?.?

?You need to be more respectful of your elder?s girl.?

Sakura giggled. ?Why don?t you try and make me??

Neji smiled down at her. ?I?m a lot stronger than I used to be?you won?t be able to beat me anymore??

Sakura smiled at him and snuggled into Neji?s arms. ?I missed you.? She sighed.

?This is very unladylike Sakura, to be hugging a man to whom you are not married to or betrothed to. Nor related to.? Neji whispered to her. He then remembered Hinata and looked over to where she sat, smiling at them.

Sakura let Neji go before running over and hugging Hinata. ?Its getting late I?m going to go get my beauty rest for tomorrow. I?ll see both of you tomorrow and Neji, I?m glad you?re coming with us.? She said before slipping out of the room and running down the hall to her rooms.

?You like her, Cousin Neji??

?More than you?ll ever know?? he whispered softly still staring at the spot where Sakura was minutes before. Then realizing what he said, he blushed madly.

?Don?t tell anyone about what you heard. Good night, cousin Hinata.? He said.

Then he hugged her softly and walked out the door.
