well...uh here's the 2nd chapter....erm....oh yea thank you luved_by_bishie_duelistch for giving me my 1st review here...^__^....anyhoo on with the story...

On the third day Kagome had to work. She was supposed to go to work tomorrow too but knowing Inuyasha, any attempts to get him to let her stay would be futile. She dressed in her favorite pair of blue jeans and a shirt that said ?Pure Evil? on the front.


The Supermarket that she work at was really big so it was sort of easy to get lost, however Kagome was one of the lucky people to get to work at one of the cashiers near the exit, but that also meant that she was near Hojo. Right next to him to be specific. They?ve known each other since first grade, and it was kind of obvious hat he had a crush on her. But to maintain that same infatuation for ten years was a little more than unnerving.


"Hey Kagome, I didn't think you'd be coming in today." A familiar voice said. It was Hojo. Great, she thought. Said girl had just finished wishing that he didn't come today and here he is.


?Sometimes it seems as though the world is waving a giant ?Screw you!!!? sign at me.?


"Me neither." She replied, deadpan.


?Maybe if I give the smallest answers possible, he?ll leave me alone.?
That notion was quickly dismissed when he continued to make a feeble conversation with her, for another half hour.

Work dragged by as usual although the only incident involved another cashier and a forty-year-old woman. Apparently her membership card was expired but she didn't think it was. They had to activate a new account right in front of her just so she could stop ranting about unjust customer service.


In the locker room Kagome was getting ready to go home, she still had to pack and take a shower. It didn?t help that she was in a bad mood, because a certain someone wouldn?t leave her alone during her breaks. It was degrading. He insisted on me going on a date with him but as usual, she told him that with hectic schedule, dating was not an option. It was true to some extent; yes her schedule could kill her if she let it. But she could still date someone, just not someone like Hojo.


?Hmm, maybe someone like Sesshoumaru?whoa where did that come from? You can?t like the Ice King, he?s Inuyasha?s brother. And he?s a demon whose murder attempts frequently involved you.?

A figure climbed out of an old well just as the sun started to set. They sat and watched as nature made a masterpiece to end the day. It was still a little early compared to when everybody expected them back so they decided to walk through the forest. It was a little shortcut that she'd found a few weeks ago but she hasn't been able to take it because of Inuyasha's impatience. He'd been coming to the well to get her; the only thing that he cares about is those damn jewel shards.


Although the others are frequently talking amongst themselves about how it's obvious that Inuyasha loves Kagome. What a load of crap. As she walked deeper into the woods voices could be heard. One of them she recognized right away so it was easily guessed who he was talking to. The raven haired girl hid in behind one of the larger bushes to eavesdrop on their conversation, even though she had an idea of what they might say.


"How much longer, Inuyasha?" Kikyo asked.


She was partially hidden but not enough to completely obstruct the view.


"The jewel is almost complete but the larger portion is still in Naraku's hands." Inuyasha answered. "We have a good sized portion ourselves but there are still more to be found."


"That's good. Soon you'll be able to join me in hell and we shall truly be together. Does that reincarnated wench know about this?" she asked.


"Please, the bitch is clueless and I'll make sure she stays that way." He answered.


While all this was going on the normally pink aura was rapidly growing around the now pissed miko.


"So I'm clueless am I?" a voice said. Inuyasha jumped and Kikyo's dead eyes showed a little surprise in them.


"Kagome," Inuyasha said. "What are you doing here?"


"I said that I would be back in three days didn't I? And you of all people should be a little happy that I came back on time instead of you having to come get me." she replied "And besides I think I did us both a favor seeing as how you were a little preoccupied. And to think, what if I hadn't come back on time? First of all you wouldn't be in this situation and second you would've never came back to get me."


"But Kagome, I can explain." Inuyasha started. Kagome was in awe of how stupid Inuyasha thought her to be, but she was willing to let him squirm.


"I was just walking back to the well to get you when I saw Kikyo and I got a little sidetracked." He said.


"Well why didn't you say so?" she said in an overly cheerful voice. "Then I guess that little comment about me being a clueless bitch was part of being sidetracked?"


"What Inuyasha says is none of you business you reincarnated filth. Whether you like it or not Inuyasha will come to hell with me after your little journey is over." Kikyo said.


The last thing the dark haired girl needed was to hear the whore's dead voice if she was to hold on to the last of my sanity. Her aura was already flaring violently around her form and the many threads of control were unraveling, as all this was going on. But that did it.


"Listen and listen good you zombie concubine, I really don't care if Inuyasha goes to heaven, hell or wanders this place like you. The only thing on my mind right now is revenge. Revenge for all of the hurt he's caused me whenever he came to see you. I stopped caring long ago and started plotting. Just how clueless do you think I am anyway? I've know that he's been coming to you in the middle of the night for some time now and the only thing that's keeping me from exacting my revenge is my friends. But I will make sure to make him suffer and you will stay out of my way."

Without warning a blast of miko energy came from nowhere and surrounded the tree of them. Kagome was no longer the same young fragile looking girl who traveled with the others for so long. For one thing she wasn't even wearing the same clothes. Her outfit was composed of the traditional miko robes, in a mix of pastel colors of green and blue. It was trimed with a light green and silver.

Kikyo was a little shocked but maintained her composure. Inuyasha, however, did nothing to hide the fact that he was astonished at er newfound power.

"But Kagome," Inuyasha said. "Why?" He really could be a dunce sometimes.
"I'll tell you why dog boy." She said. "It's because all this time you've failed to realize that I loved you and instead went to a corpse who didn?t even like you. I loved you for who you are and she would only accept you if you were human. All the countless times that you've left me to be with her made me love you less and less and I stopped crying about it after the first few times. So I'm just saying that enough is enough and I hope that you'll find better use of her than with me just being your shard detector."

As Kagome turned to leave Inuyasha stopped her with his voice, but she didn't turn around. If she did, he'd see the tears that were about to fall.


"Kagome you really loved me?"


"Of course you idiot but take note of the `ed' at the end of the word. In other words I loved you then but I can only be your friend now. Goodbye Inuyasha." Then she broke into a run.

Instead of running directly into the unknown the young mi,ko decided to go to Kaede's hut to bid everyone goodbye. It would be unfair to them if she just left without saying a word.

"Momma!" an excited Shippo exclaimed.


He'd taken to calling Kagome `momma' a while ago and it sort of made her feel special, in a weird motherly way. She didn't mind though, Shippo didn't have anyone else, and she was like a mother to him so it made sense.


"Kagome where have you been we've been worried sick about you." Sango said in a worried voice.

She was like the always worried big sister and Miroku was like the really perverted brother or cousin. It was a disappointment that she'd be leaving them because of a jerk who shall remain nameless. She would never get to see Sango's face when Miroku finally confesses his love for her.


"I'm fine Sango, you don't need to worry all the time."


It really was true. Sometimes Sango worried about me a little too much, but Kagome still appreciated it.


"Kagome have you by any chance seen Inuyasha?" Miroku asked in his ever calm voice.


"Yeah I saw him, but he's busy at the moment so I just came back by myself."


Kagome was careful not to mention what had transpired in the forest because Sango would want to pound him into a pulp and Shippo'd want to bite his ears off. It would be best to tell them now, instead of waiting any longer.



"Um, guys, I'm leaving the group to travel on my own."

well....erm....there's the 2nd chapter.....i had to do some MAJOR editing, b/c i originally had this story written in 1st person POV and i didn't get past editiong the middle of this chap to 3rd person POV.....soooo that took a nice amount of time.....and on top of that i had to seriously tone down Kag's attitude (when i was writing it in 1st person i kinda was using my reaction to the situations.....which made her very.......well very something).......but if you do want to see the original version then go here : http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php/64949/.......well...um thats about it...i gues....erm...tell me what you guys think....^__^

im sorry that im taking so long to update but school is hectic...I GOT INTO POLY PREP!!!!! *cough* nehoo the point is that i have all the chapters written i jus need to do sime editing and that takes a while and i dont have the time.... ...gomen guys but i'll try to get the 3rd chapter up ASAP
