Working up to the 'bang-up night out' I was hinting at earlier. The score:
- Kaname & Mickey's girlfriend tearing up the dance floor... literally. Let's
just say she's the type that could do so much better than Mickey, but...
- drunk moron comes back with a few of his equally plastered friends and
trying to even the score...
- Mickey saying something wrong about Kaname within earshot of Sousuke,
and Sousuke corrects the error of Mickey's ways in his usual style. I'm
HOPING I may work in another PTSD episode into Sousuke's response,
though I'm not sure how that'd work. For sure though, their fight's going
to have rather chain-reactive results on the rest of the bar and its patrons.
- Corwin just MAY get Sousuke-creative to get in, just trying to figure out
if he tries the 'Cop badge from the cereal box' trick, or something more...
As for your speculation Ayume's going in to spoil Kaname's fun, I've
pinned her down as equally competitive as Kaname -- she's got Kaname
as an older sister, after all -- but very perceptive of peoples' inner,
unspoken feelings. She's also more open about her own, unlike Kaname.
She'll give Kaname a run for her money about the 'Sousuke's mine'
deal, but I wouldn't say she's got any overly malicious intent here.
I'm glad that you found the time and inspiration to finish off this chapter, it was well worth the wait. Common now! The thought of Corwin pulling a Sousuke was to die for! *Shakes head* Something about Sousuke makes everyone around him crazy, no?
