Gilgamesh

Post by wicked »

I was just curious if anyone else has begun to watch this series. I don't delve too much into the manga world save for GW and Angel Sanctuary so I don't know if this series has a corresponding manga (or preceeding).

I just began to watch the *cough*fansub*cough* the other day and I'm really interested so far. A bit confused but that seems a tad normal for me these days.

I find the character designs to be a little different than normal but nonetheless beautiful.

Anyway, just wondering who has seen it, what ya think, and whatever else you want to add.

Had it downloaded but didn't even bother to watch it, the animation turned me off too much and thats a big part for me when it comes to catching my attention.

I'm definitely confused and intrigued at the story. Confused because I read a summary about Gilgamesh (the legend) and then when I watched it, I got confused as to how the story is being unfolded. Intrigued because of why the younger sibling is important. And who r Gilgamesh in that story.
The animation is not something that would held my interest, but the story kept me downloading the ep. as it becomes available. It is still in its early phase so I'm withholding my complete conclusion about it until the conclusion.

The story is definitely the hook for me on this one. I really want to stay faithful to Live-Evil but I think another group has one or more eps subbed already and I'm itching to watch more.

True the animation itself isn't anything to write home about but as BW said, it's the story. I didn't read any summary of the show so I'm fully ignorant walking into this one.

I like the older sibling Kiyoko (sp?). I hope she has a large role in the series and doesn't become a background character. And is it just me, or does the older boy who's on the Countess' side remind you of Trowa when his hair is down?

I dunno, maybe it is just me. Though anytime I say Gilgamesh I try not to say Gargamel.

ACK!!! I just finished the series and I dunno what to say. I'm speechless. It's just...ACK!!!

I'm confused. I'm saddened. I'm thoroughly PISSED OFF at some of it. And dammit! I knew how he felt! I knew it! Okay well War Dove and I knew it.

But why?!?! WHY????

I'm getting upset again. It's like I watched Ayashi no Ceres again and that one thing that upset me.

Kiyoko x Novem.

...I'm still confused. I saw the last ep and I got this impression...(I'm sorry that this might spoil things)...

...Okay, so Tear is C and her jealousy. I'm a stickler for some couples and I was wondering...when C kissed E, what was it about? Was it supposed to be the end of the world by granting C's wish or something? I felt like E's luv for his wife was gone when he got possessed by Tear. And I was wondering what the heck that gal did in that new world. Was she alone? Did she kill Tear and become a new Tear when she gave that chuckle? I have so many q's left that were unanswered. The only good thing about this ep was Novem's admission. (And I must say, Novem's form was so cool.) Not to say, but my opinion of C is still the same: hate her guts. Hate it hate it hate it. There were so many cold-feeling b*****ds that I still stewing.

I didn't watched AoC, but way, WAY before it was licensed, I read the ending, or manga translation, by some group (and I don't remember who it was, since it was so long ago). And I was bummed over the ending. I didn't hate Yuki (I think that was his name), but I liked the pairing of Aya x Tooya. Well, u know what happened to AoC, Wicked. I 2 was upset over it; thus, I didn't really care for the anime.

What I interpreted from the ending of Gilgamesh may not be right. Sometimes I hate those psychological or whatever endings like in Evangelion and Gilgamesh and other animes that I can't think right now. I like concrete interpretations where it counts (like the ending of Gilgamesh). I NEED them before I lose my mind!!! Gah! My mind hurts now. :x
