The end will be the end of the world. Is my guess.

It's not same old, same old, Peach. They just killed off my favorite character. So, I'm not really interested in watching anymore.

And yes. I'm a little bitter about it. They killed the person after brainwashing this person into doing something so completely against everything this person stands for. Oh yeah, and the person was killed with one bullet after one of the side villains took like 10+ and lived to come back another day. "Britannian medicine is so good it can virtually bring people back from the dead." Unless it's Rose's favorite character. Who was killed with one shot.

Basically, it looks like there was an end. Like an end that would have been a fairly uplifting conclusion to Lelouch's story, if not all sunshine and roses. But, then they got a 2nd season, so they had to screw it up. And the way they did it was to randomly decide to f*** with Lelouch's power in episode 22 so that he "accidentally" geass's this person into doing a very terrible thing.

I don't think anyone blames the person for what they ended up doing. But had the person lived, they wouldn't have been able to forgive themselves for what they did. And now that this person is dead, someone else is out for revenge. And the person who killed them is pretty much dead on the inside, because the killer deeply loved the dead character.

So. More or less. It's f****d up. And not even remotely in a "this could end positively" way (in fact, one of the producers said that after the events of ep 22 and 23, there is NO way that Lelouch and Suzaku can reach an honest reconciliation). If the series doesn't end with most of the main characters dead and/or an end of the world scenario ($5 that's what CC's after), I'll write a Lelouch/CC fic for Pilot.

i started watching fushigi yugi. man it's old, but i love it for some reason. Its not even my type of anime but i found myself spellbound by miaka and tamahome. the word 'aw' just doesn't cut it with them. they just don't seem to catch a break!

Fushigi Yugi? I think I picked up a dvd of it one time at my local anime store, read the back, snarked, and put it back down.

I know a lot of people enjoyed it, though. I did try watching Ceres, by the same people, I think? It looked promising.

The OLD anime I picked up just on a whim last year (well, ok, it was a whim + a friend's poking) and fell in love with was Orphen. Completely hilarious and serious at the same time. Reminded me of Full Metal Panic! (the first one) without the mechs.

one: LOVE orphen, if not for the plot and world then for the complete wow factor that this man looks like an older heero yuy. with magic. hoot!

two: i did the same thing with fushigi yugi but i thought that with a criteria for romantic fantasy my options were limited without going into those silly "one guy many girls" animes. The blurbs people give it only serve to dssuade peple. Its actually very good.

three: ayashi no ceres was brilliant. it made me cry several times and the theme tune is still my favourite song to date. If you download the ful version with Iwao Junko singing it is has the most dramatic and amazing orchestration. and there are so many twists! the only bad thing, i think, is that there's incestual tones about it. some people find that disturbing even if it is just fictitious.

Oh and the only bad thing about fushigi yugi is that, if you can't find the subbed version, you have to watch the dubbed version which is very very very very very very *sideways 8* bad. *remembers miaka's "you're FREEEEEEE now!" declaration and quivers nervingly* The octaves that girl can hit should be legend.
