and thanks to *the administration's* constant plugging, many people are getting into Fruits Basket.

Yeah, just a smallish sort of lemon contest. The deadline for fics was June 1. I think we got like 6 or 7.

Um...I was way wrong. I was basing that off some unfortunate...event that happened while I voted. Although I'm not big on competing, I like the idea that it's not really a "" competition. I can write and enter for fun! ^_^ (granted, it took me FOREVER to realize that)

The fact is, I get to enter a contest with a LOT of really good people. I should be very happy to participate! ^_^ And I am. Everyone has fear of failure, too....But you know, when it comes from your heart, and you write 'cause YOU want to, then it doesn't matter what happens.

Because you've proved something to yourself.


However corny this may be....and most definately is, I said it. ^_^

Here's a question, though.... Would it be totally lame to take the same challenge idea and apply it to more than one anime series?

So, hypothetically speaking.... If the challenge was something like "99 ways to propose to Relena" would it be lame to also run like a Fruits Basket challenge at the same time called "99 ways to propose to Tohru" or something like that? (will take suggestions for ways to extend it to other series as well, if there is interest).

Since we're speaking hypothetically.... These hypothetical contests would also not ask for, but EXPECT some fanart contributions, btw. And would run until we got a total of 99 either pics or fics.

Hypothetically, of course.

i for one wouldn't mind having a contest/challenge for more than type of anime, there's more variety that way.

But when you say 99 ways to propose to whoever, does that mean in your fic there has to be 99 ways, or is it how you said, it will stop when we have 99 fics......come to think of it that seems like a stupid question.

No your fic doesn't have to have 99 ways in it. We're going to, hypothetically, be taking 99 fics or fanart pics of boys proposing to Relena (or Tohru as the case may be). Similar to the 101 ways to snog en route to a colony challenge that Psyche did. I thought it was great fun, and they said they didn't have any problem with us using a similar organization for a challenge.

It would be a way to allow more than one pairing in the contests, too....

I enjoy the thought, and as much as I would like to, I think...rather...I know I'll be retiring when school starts, as I won't have net access, and I really wanna get a lot of my other fics finished....I have stupidly taken on one too many fics....^_^;;;; Hee heee.....And as much fun as that sounds, I just dunno.

Lots of fun, though Rose!!!!! (I have the biggest urge to call you Rosey-pooh.....everyone does that with my real name, and I can't do it back. Not a lot of people to do it to. I shall refrain from it, though, as it drives me up a wall when people say it to me....^_^)

People will be allowed to write more than one proposal fic. I will limit the number per author, but I'm thinking like 5-6 should accomodate most of us - on a first come, first serve sort of basis. Even though we have a lot of people on the site, not all of them will be participating in the challenges. *hugs* No worries!
