Although it pains me to do so, I must admit that I don?t own Gundam Wing, and neither does Jess, my co-author.

:::Flash 500 years into the future to the year 2003 AC:::

Heero Yuy knew he was going to be late for work. AGAIN. He hated being a cab driver, but jobs were scarce for former special agents. He hopped in his flying cab and took off in search of passengers. He sighed. The monotony of his life was getting to him. Little did he know that the tide was about to change.

[Official (looking) office at the White House]
There had been a crash somewhere in Saudi Arabia. President Quatre was impatiently awaiting a shipment of the remains from the crash. A few hours later, the package he was waiting for arrived. To his dismay, all he found was a pair of bronzish metal feet. He decided to forward it to the CIA scientific research and development center. There, he knew, a technology had been invented to recreate life forms from alien remains. He closed his notebook that contained all of the information on said remains, and walked swiftly to his escort. He was on his way to check on the progress of the regeneration. It was almost complete by the time he arrived, but he got there in time to see the last of the process. The form on the enclosed table was magnificently beautiful. It took the shape of a woman, but her beauty surpassed any natural human beauty on Earth. Her hair hung in honey blond waves, and her skin was creamy and clear. She was graced with a truly perfect figure that rivaled any fake lingerie model. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open, revealing a deep cerulean hue. Those same eyes were wild with fear. She hit the seemingly unbreakable glass a few times, then desperately smashed it. This time it broke, and she ran as fast as her new legs could carry her. She reached a doorway; it opened before her and with total faith she lunged through it?. however, she found herself falling, for she had jumped through a doorway to the outside world, 200 feet above the ground.

Heero sighed. He wasn?t having much luck finding customers, so he loitered around a bit outside of an official looking building; it seemed that officials always needed rides. Suddenly, a loud THUD came from the back that shook the entire cab. Something had hit him! Heero turned to curse whatever had fallen on top of his cab, but stopped short when he saw the frightened splendor that was crumpled in the back seat. ?Can I help you?? He asked in a gentle voice. She nodded her head vigorously and started babbling in an unrecognizable language. Heero took that as a yes and floored it. The young woman was obviously in trouble, and he had become an expert at outwitting trouble. Sure enough, cops started showing up. Heero grinned as he wove, dove, and made sharp turns. He found an ideal alley to hide in and took full advantage of it. The squad cars raced by, and he grinned. It was always a pleasure to beat the cops. The grin faded from his face as Heero thought of what to do next. He couldn?t exactly communicate with the girl in the back. He smacked his forehead. Of course! His friend Duo, the priest, would know what to do with her, and if he didn?t, he would know people who could.

Heero paced the floor before the strange, young woman and his best friend. She chatted away happily and for some strange reason or another, Duo was responding. None of this made any sense at all to him, how was this possible? Lost in his thoughts, he didn?t notice that the conversation had stopped and the girl had fallen asleep in the over-sized chair she was seated in. Duo stood and rubbed the back of his neck. ?Heero, man, where did you find this chick??
He shrugged. ?She landed on top of my cab.?
?On top of your cab??
?I didn?t stutter.?
?Fine, I?m going to tell you something that I?m really not supposed to tell you. See, there is this alien race that kinda drops by every five hundred years or so. My family has been dealing with said aliens since, like the beginning of time. See, every five hundred years something really big and really evil threatens to destroy Earth and these aliens come and put the five elements into this chamber thingy in one of the pyramids in Egypt.?
?And what does this have to do with the girl that landed on my cab??
?Apparently, the five elements have been separated. One lies in her, and the other four- earth, wind, water, and fire are somewhere else. She said something about Chicago and an opera singer, but that part she started to talk to fast??
?You mean you understood all that shit??
?Well, yeah. It?s part of our creepy family secret. The aliens have their own language and we know how to speak it. In case you haven?t noticed, not everyone speaks English.?
?I know that, moron.?
?I?m going to teach her English so that you can converse with her as well.?
?And how exactly do you propose to do that??
?Their race picks up things pretty quickly, actually. I?m just going to sit down with her and literally read the dictionary to her.?
?The dictionary??
?Yup.?
The door creaked open and Duo?s assistant, Hilde, peered in. ?Um, Duo. You?re supposed to be holding a service right now.?
Duo smacked his forehead. ?Oh yeah, damn it. I?ll see in you in about an hour and a half. Have fun.?
With a parting wink, the jovial priest was gone and Heero was left alone with the sleeping beauty. He knelt by her side and hand across her cheek, reveling in the smooth texture of her skin. She looked so vulnerable and angelic with her hair splayed out across the armrest and her knees curled to her chest. He stooped and effortlessly picked the young woman up, depositing her on the couch where she could rest more comfortably. But before he could pull away, she whined quietly and her fingers entangled themselves in his shirt. Staring down at her he couldn?t resist the urge to kiss her. But, when his face was mere inches from hers, she awoke and panicked. Finding a method of defense, the young woman pulled the gun of the holster strapped carefully to Heero?s hip and pointed it right between his eyes.

Jess: Well so much for only two chapters, eh Liz?
Liz: Yeah, but this is a good place to stop and I?m tired.
Jess: Baby
Liz: But happily so.
Jess: stealing a coin phrase from a character on my favorite game, ?whatever.
Liz: shut up, I wanna go to sleep!
Jess: *pouts* fine? be that way?
