Is that a sequel you have in mind? Well I would certainly enjoy that. There aren't enough military based fics out there and you do an outstanding job at that. It's kind of like playing a war game and well I certainly love those games.

Number one, you should never, EVER write only to gain or garner attention. Writing of any kind, is done for the author first and foremost. Writing to just get attention? Please. You might as well start acting up and become a delinquent in that case.

Just because you don't have a lot of reviews does not mean that, "Oh noes! Nobody is reading my fic!" It could mean that they are choosing to not review because they are either lazy, not in the mood, or don't want to be mean. Because people do, you know, have the choice to not review just as much as the choice to review. It's annoying but it's also a fact of fandom life.

When you come to a website that is catered toward a specific anime series (and more specifically a specific pairing) then proceed to write a story killing off the main characters only to be replaced by your original characters, it's not going to become a favorite. Especially since those pilots are favorites and tend to have fans here that are seriously dedicated to them.

I admit I have not read your fic. I have no plans on reading now or ever. I rarely read fic nowadays. That's beside the point. From what I know, or can tell, is that this is a Gary Stu fic. Nuke the pilots and have them replaced by others in order to get closer to Relena.

Whatever.

I'm not telling you not to write. Write what you want, but don't expect other people to consume it like air. Especially if it's a poorly disguised Gary Stu. Original characters are not a bad thing. Usually. They are, however, bad when they take precedence over the series characters when it comes to fanfiction.

Also, non-romantical? Not a real word. And just out of slight curiosity, what reputation? You've not been around long enough to actually acquire one and if you had, it probably isn't good.

01. Good. Looking for attention always results in negative attention. And no, my posts regarding this fic has nothing to do with this part. I'm being general with this piece.

02. I have no interest reading a story wherein the pilots are killed off. That's just it. Sure you still have Relena and that's great. I love Relena. But I love her when she is interacting with the others. It's more interesting that way. OC's are there for background effect or to be the villain. They're support characters.

Also I too have male friends that I consider close but without any romantic feelings involved. That's beautiful. It's not illegal and for you to have inferred that from what I wrote, you were mistaken. That part was not my intention. And there wasn't any pushing.

03. Truth be told I'm not "angry." Irritated? Possibly. It's annoying when a writer bemoans lack of interest in a particular story. That's what I'm criticizing more than anything. So long as you're happy with what you've written, that should be enough. Yes we, as writers, want praise and to be told that we've written something great but in the end, as long as we're happy with what we've written then nothing should change or demean that.

Do I want your fic deleted? No. At least I don't think so. And it's actually wrong to delete a fic just because it bugs me. And I don't have the authority to delete it in this particular forum. I can suggest and whatnot but I'm not <i>that</i> cruel. At least not all the time.

I'm not forcing anything on to you. So there's nothing to be honored or dishonored. I'm expressing my personal views in an admittedly aggressive manner.

The part about your reputation? You haven't been here long enough to truly garner one. If you've annoyed anyone, that's their, our, my problem. It's a personal thing. We all annoy someone at sometime or another and in some cases, all the time. It's a part of life.

Go ahead and write for fun. That's the beauty of writing. It's wonderful in all it's different incarnations.

But do not, DO NOT, act as though my one harsh post is enough to make you say goodbye to BI. That right there is an attention grabber. Be better than that. If you enjoy writing fanfic (that doesn't kill off Heero, Duo, Trowa (especially Trowa), Quatre, or Wufei...go head and kill Zechs...as often as you want in fact...) and want to share, then by all means share it. I'm not telling you not to.

And if you do decide to not post here again, then at least keep writing if it makes you happy and is fulfilling.

I have to give serious points to you for having responded to my harshness in a rather adult manner without resorting to either one of us name calling and degenerating into babbling fools with the IQ of five year olds.

You've not watched the series in years? Those points I just gave you? I take them back. ALL of them. Le gasp!

Seriously if you get the chance, watch it again. Get a feel for the pilots and then hit the paper/computer/laptop again.

Truth be told, when we first start posting stories, most of us are going for attention. We want to be noticed and all that so what we write, in some cases, is rather suspect in terms of characterizations or quality or both. Hopefully we get better with time and practice.

And fuck! I'm starting to sound like Oprah or something. Not cool. Not at all.

Hi guys. Sorry for posting this so late, but i think part of the problem about not really have a following, 0mikr0n, is that your fic is really not in the right forum. Alternatives is for people who want to see GW characters mainly paired up with other GW characters who are not the traditional couples. (i.e Relena x Trowa, Quatre x Catherine). I've been pretty strict about making people move their OC focused stories, but I realize its difficult because we really don't have a proper OC focused forum. I think your fic would be better in the Crossover or Original Fiction section, or if you have another suggestion, please let me know...
