Anyone up for a new template?

I'm considering changing the template for the forum, in other words the color scheme (a bit) and button stuff, but not the logo (at this time) or anything else.

Anyone up for offering an opinion on which of these he/she likes better?

http://www.phpbbhacks.com/templatesdemo/index.php?s=87 --> Still the dark colors, minus the blue. I really like the buttons on this one. They stand out a lot more.

I have to modify the darn image map at the top with the FAQ, Search, etc. and I'm thinking it would be easier to just select a new template where I can add the buttons for the album, rules, portal, etc. It's easier to manufacture and upload a button than it is to modify that darn gif and then reslice the image and adjust the links. Besides, we're always up for a little change, right?

This is a rather difficult choice Rose. I think the first link is rather nice. I love the silver and it makes it feel futuristic (a la GW...okay so that may have been cheesy).

However I like the dark colors of the second link. But I'm just into darker themed things in life including colors. I have to say I liked the first link's template for New Posts, No New Posts, and Forum is Locked. Easier to read or see. But I like the title design of the second link better.

It'd be nice of they could mesh the two together.

I don't know......
Both are interseting.....I like the second one better though......but the colours on them just don't seem as......what's the word.......rich as the original.
If I had to choose I'd say the second.But I'd rather not.....sorry.

I kinda like the second one better. Perhaps it's the dark coloring, but to me it just seemed easier on the eyes.

Besides, it would be an eaiser adjustment.

i prefer the black one, it just looks much better, but i don't mind the silver. They're both interesting in their own special way i'm just so used to the black.
