The Lover's Tale is a sad and realistic tale. It speaks that two lovers set sail and stayed out at sea. They sailed for weeks out on the vast and quiet Pacific. Then one day a storm broke out, throwing the lovers into an escape boat and off course. They had no food, clean water, or any fresh supplies. They thought they were going to die. They thought of each other and the past they had shared. The husband then broke into a song, whispering at first then sung in a deep bass voice.
Sing this song of serenading sooth.
Life may be over but at least it is with you.
Going to a peaceful place of true, and I'll be waiting for you.
Sing this song of serenading blue.
Let us sing of nature's happy tune.
Approaching a lovely place to rest, and I'll be waiting for you.
Sing this song of serenading peace.
Quietly drifting off to deep sleep.
God knows what's in store for thee, and I'll be waiting for you.
Sing this song of serenading bliss.
Over turn troubles that already exist.
Sleep is trying to overcome me, and I'll be waiting for you.
Sadly, the couple died before they reached land.
