[Perfect Soldier]

A/N- It's been forever since i've posted here or have even had the will to really write. I had an english assignment to write a poem with images from a story we read. This is the result, hopefully not too redundent. Thank you.

Love Will Tear Us Apart

I?m left with an emotional rift
Love is my tormentor
Devastated, my aura is surreal
Aching with need of your soft caress,
Havoc only embraces me

Like a child, tender and mild
It?s a natural instinct to smile
Now you?re a ghost,
My unholy saint

A need so fierce it?s violent
Silent cries to see you grow silent
Why am I being punished?
Your icy eyes hold no promise

Excuse my scrutiny,
But I still notice
Your cold expression holds no solace
A vapid face matches your needless haste
The waste of a good friend

Sorry won?t quell my spite,
For all I want is to hold you tight
An abandonment of sorts?
It?s hard to forget
Here, I used to be so proud-of you

It?s hard to now, a sting so deep
Tears unbidden will not leak
To say I miss you is not enough
Tough, but I?ll survive

A vice grip on my heart
Fear and need plaguing my head
Nothing more need be said-

Gone, not forgotten, nearly forgiven
Goodbye is an injustice to the one you love
