Second Impressions

He’s absolutely the #1 most unbearable man on the face of the planet. Nothing but a loud, obnoxious, cocky, womanizing drunkard!

But then he teases the kid, and it comes so naturally that you’re smiling at him. And he looks at you, and grins, warm and full and that wink he just flashed is melting something unknown. A second, the barest instant where his eyes are so light that you can’t help but openly stare.

And then the kid takes him down and he’s a begging, shrieking spectacle again. Cowardly, dorky, little…

But for that moment, you found yourself thinking.

Maybe there was something a little more.
