Authors note: Ok this is officially fanfic #3 for Sugar Baby. I read my first
2 two fanfics and I believe that they suck. So I'm going to go for another go
at it. Thank you for all the people who read and reviewed my last two fics.

This is a Romance fic. No lemon just sap and fluff

Don't Say 'Goodbye'

Relena Peacecraft stood by the shores of the beach she was visiting for the
last 2 weeks. Thinking about the time she had last seen her love. No not her
crush, her one true love. Thinking about all the hate the barricaded his
heart. And even now she would have given anything just to see his face. But
that was impossible, for just that very morning she had attended: Heero Yuy;
Former Gundam Pilots and the love of her life's funeral. The final goodbye.

A tear had slipped down her cheek . This would be the last time goodbye to
him. Her last goodbye to him. Recalling the moment of his death a unpleasant
shiver ran down her spine and a cold memory ran through her head.

He had been fighting a battle. A battle to end all battles. Against a mobile
suit far more powerful than a Gundam. (A new Gundam built for the oncoming
battle) It was rather stupid of him to have fought the enemy all alone
although he knew he couldn't win. But his pride had taken advantage of him.

She had watched helplessly as he fought for peace...again. She watched
helplessly as his opponent stabbed him with his beam saber. His last words
that he had said to Relena over the inter-com were: I'll be alright
Relena...I'll...be alright. She knew that he knew he wasn't going to be
alright though, and had fought an impossible battle. And as the explosion of
his mobil suit erupted her night in shinning armor had finally been defeated.
They never found his body.

She knew she had to go back to reality and former life as Vice Foreign
Minister, and 'move on' as her brother so impassionedly put it, someday. But
it was hard.

Three more tears slipped down her face. Heero couldn't possibly think she
would think he was still alive would he. Than again they never did find his
body let alone a trace of him in the shreds and pieces of his Gundam. But
still she couldn't believe that he was alive not now. She would have to say
goodbye, and now she would.

"Good-bye... Heero" She whispered over the roaring sound of the ocean. "Rest
in peace."  One last tear slipped don her face. As hard as he tried she knew
there would be more. There was no denying it. She placed a rose she had been
carrying on a wave that had come up to her and watched it float
away...forever.

Her head cast down, eyes closed she made her way up the beach. She bumped
into something she didn't know was there. She fell backwards only for that
something or rather someone to take a hold of her wrists and pull her up. "
I'm sorry I didn't see you there... " She moved her point of vision to the
persons face only to be met with Prussian blue eyes. There was a scar on his
cheek, he wasn't smiling but a look of pure emotion was written on his face. "
Oh my..."  This must have caught the mysterious person by surprise because he
didn't catch her this time.  

" Relena...Relena...Please wake up, Relena."

She felt someone tapping her face. Trying to wake her up. She didn't want to
wake up though. She had a dream of Heero and he came back.
The tapping didn't decrease. So she decided to wake up. " Wha...huh. Her eyes
widened as her focus cleared and someone with Prussian blue eyes and unruly
brown hair was leaning over toward her face.       "Who are you."  She was
met with a small smile.

" It's Heero. I'm back, Relena"

"No you're dead. Your not really there." She exclaimed standing up now.

" I'm right here. How can I not be." He said, joining her in a stand.

She broke down and began to sob uncontrollably. " I'm sorry Heero. I'm so
sorry. It was my fault you were killed and now your ghost has come to haunt
me. I'm sorry I tried to stop you...oh Heero...I'm sorry." Her voice trailed
off from her sobs.

Whatever Heero was expecting...it wasn't that. After recovering from the
shock, he knelt down beside her. " Ghosts aren't real Relena. But I am. I
survived the explosion. I jumped out of my Gundam before it blew up. I'm just
sorry I took so long. But I was found by a passing transport shuttle. Than I
was taken all the way to Colony L1. It took me a week to recover. Luckily I
was only left with a few scars. But...I would have thought that you would
believe I would be ok. "

She looked up and stared into his eyes. She stood and put her hand against
her cheek and looked deep in his eyes. Is it really you."

"Yes" he said as he took her hand in his.

"I thought I'd never see you again."

" I'm here now."

" ...I love you." This surprised Heero even more.

" I love you too...Relena"

Another wave of tears ran down her cheeks. This time they were tears of pure
joy. " Oh Heero" She launched herself at Heero almost knocking him down. He
had never hugged anyone before...but he liked it. He wrapped his arms around
her waist and held her tight. He loved her and she loved him. What more could
you ask for.

" I know how we can be together, so no one can pull us apart ever again."
Without warning, he knelt down on one knee and pulled a small black velvet
box out of his pocket. Opening up to reveal the most beautiful ring she had
ever seen. It had a gold band and a large diamond on top shaped like a heart.
Passion filling his heart and barriers breaking down he said. " Relena their
isn't anything I would rather do than spend the rest of my life with you. Will
you marry me?"

At this tears were completely over taking her. She managed to say,
" Yes oh yes Heero and million times yes."

He smiled a true smile and it only widened when hers did. He placed the ring
on her left hand. He stood up and they shared a passionate kiss. A kiss they
had been waiting to give to someone special. A kiss to seal their future and
a kiss to seal their love...forever!

Oh yah!! I'm done. I know it was pur SAP and Heero was TOTALLY OOC, (course he
always in in my fics) and sorry for people who got worried, but I could NEVER
let Heero die. He and Relena belong together. Besides I like happy endings.
