(A.N.) before reading!!!!
Ok, I’m sorry but sometimes when I use spell check, I say
fix it thinking it’s the right word when its not…-_-; And yes I do read it
after wards but I just scan the words and usually miss it... Sorry!
Strands of golden hair flood down Relena's
back, flying wildly behind her like a cap in the wind.
"Yaw,
Come on, a-up!" She clicked with her voice, asking she steed for more
effort. Malachite, her favorite mount. He was big and of a loving character.
His long white mane shimmered and bounced with each of his powerful strides.
Together they soared over any obstacles that came up to challenge them. Relena
turned in the saddle slightly to see another horse approaching fast. It was
Seanix one of the finest of the stable horses at the mansion. Aboard the black Friesian horse rode a very
angry looking Heero. Heero was to be Relena's substitute bodyguard for this week
only, while her brother Millardo and Noin where out working on the new 'Life on
Mars plan' but it was not working quit like Heero had thought. She was slightly
annoyed with him, her morning rides were to be alone and her bother had told
Heero that it was ok for her to do so. She had snuck out of the mansion as to
not disturb anyone. Although she had succeeded in her escape and dodged Heero's
alarms, and even a couple of his friends, Heero must have checked in on her and
discovered her missing. They had argued about this subject yesterday night so
he must have cot on to her plans. As much as she loved the idea of having Heero
chasing her for once, Relena decided to put his horsemanship to the test. She
had just taken her vacation time and wasn’t going to spend it in her room. As
the Vice Foreign Minister of the E.S.U.N Relena had no real vacation time but
she managed to arrange her schedule so she could get a week off.
Heero
was in hot pursuit and still had a pissed off look in his eyes. Yes, even the
emotionless solder she thought had a hint of emotion in his eyes.
'He
must not be over the laundry mistake' Relena thought. She had told him, he was
getting soft and this obviously angered him, although he never showed it. He
ordered her as punishment to clean his laundry. Bad mistake on Heero's
part. She had protest very much but
with an evil idea and Heero's persistence she did the job. She was parity proud
of herself when she found a large bleach bottle. She had thrown in the whole
bottle’s contends into the load of Landry. Which to her surprise and joy, the
bleach and the hot water together shrunk and turned Heero's favorite black
spandex shorts and his green muscle shirt, white and at lest three sizes to
small. She still had no idea haw she managed to shrink spandex but was proud
non-the less. 'She flashed back when she had thrown the white pair of clothes
in the drier and ran up to the video surveillance room to watch the show...
>>>>Flashback<<<<
Heero's mind was flying high after
succeeded in forcing Relena to do his laundry. 'I bet she doesn’t think I'm
going soft now!!!!' He chuckled to himself yet never showing it. Heero walked
into the laundry room to see if she had folded them yet but she wasn’t there.
He thought she must have left to keep herself occupied while they were in the
dryer. As he turned to leave and find his run away princess the drier beeped to
say that it was finished. Heero looked down at his only other pair of clothes;
they were a pair of filthy blue jean pants, a grass stained white Preventers
muscle shirt, and a dark blue wind blazer that reeked like gunpowder. Heero had
mused himself by cleaning his gun, checking the mansions security, and typing
on his laptop; as he waited for Relena to clean his work wear. He decided to
change into the fresh one’s that Relena had just finished cleaning. He walked
up to the dryer and opened the metal door to look inside, he expected to see
his normal favorite outfit staring back at him, welcoming him to clime into
their fresh clean warmth, but to his horror staring back at him were his
favorite shirt and shorts white as a snow flack and at lest three sizes to
small!
"RELENAAAAAAAA, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU
DO TO MY CLOTHES!!!!!" Heero grabbed his once proud clothes and when to
find Relena. She was going to pay for this! Millardo had told Heero that Relena
was acting strangely and that it was probably Duo and Hilde’s fault. Millardo
never really specified strangely but Heero new if it was Duo’s doing it had to
be in the form of a joke; however, he’d never thought she would try this with
HIM!!!!!!!.
Relena was sure she'd never laugh so hard
in her life. She ran out of the surveillance room and down the hall in a fit of
laughter. She stopped her escape when she heard the doorbell ring a million
times. She giggled to herself, ‘that must be Duo, he's the only one that rings
the doorbell like that.’ She quickly started walking to the door to answer it.
She loved having Duo around, he made her laugh and treated her like the sister
he never had. She was his little princess and often took her out so she could
go shopping or just hag around with Hilde; Dou's 'other' girlfriend as he said.
Hilde was also known as Relena's best friend. 'Hm, my brother thinks my
behavior is theses two's doing. I think I'm starting to turn into a Hilde/Duo
combo! If I don't smarten up soon I think I will.' Relena Vowed to be more
responsible then reflected her mind to the latest damage she had caused.
'Thank god' thought Relena. Duo came just
in time, because she just cot site of Heero storming his way towards her from
the far end of the hall. She grabbed the door to let Duo in, hoping he could be
a five-minute knight in shining armor for her. To her surprise and luck Duo was
not alone. He had brought the whole Gundam gang by. Most likely they wanted to
see Heero, after the Mariemaia incident he had gone into hiding and had been
there for months with no contact what’s so ever. The others greeted her
politely from behind Duo. Relena forgot all about Heero and their unfinished
business.
"Hay, that's no way to greet a
princess. Watch a pro," Dou 'professionally' bawd over exaggerating very
movement. Then offered his hand to Relena who was giggling by his show. The
funny thing was he did this every time. She extended her hand to Duo who was going
to kiss it gracefully when all of a suddenly a hand reached form behind her
grabbing her shoulder and whirling her around so fast that Relena screamed. Not
a bloody murder scream, just a surprised scream as the excessive force pining
her against the door slamming it shut, right in Duo's kissy face. Nobody
outside had seen who had just grabbed Relena but who ever it was, was going to
be sorry.
Heero himself had not heard the doorbell
and thought Relena was going to hide outside. He had no clue that he had just
slammed the door in his comrade’s face. Still pinning Relena to the door with
one of his hands Heero used the other to shove his newly white close in front
of Relena.
"This is not funny..." Heero
shock his shirt trying to intimidate her. "I maybe only here for one week
but I'm going to make this week last for months of torture... I WILL get even
with you Relena Peacecraft... You just made a big mistake... and you will learn
to do laundry correctly!!!" Heero glared at Relena. He never usually got
mad and he never usually showed emotion, but this pushed him to far. Relena was
staring at him with no fear in her eyes or her face.
"Heero Yuy get your hands off me right
this instance! One, you are here as a guest, not a permanent thing. Two, as for
your clothes, I apologize I've never done laundry before and should not haft to
worry about learning. Three, you just slammed the door in Duo Maxwell and the
rest of the Gundam pilots faces," Relena spoke very coldly and gave him a
taste of his own death stare. Heero’s face seemed shocked he was actually
speechless!! He removed himself from Relena and stood back so she could re-open
the door. Outside everyone was laughing hysterically. They had heard every word
and were calming down as the door opened but when they saw Heero standing there
with his white shirt and shorts in hand they broke out again.
"Yuy, having troubles with your onna
are we." Wufei nodded his head to the white clothes in Heero's hand then
chuckled a bit shaking his head in disgust.
"Relena, I must ask, how did you
shrink spandex? I thought spandex didn't shrink," Trowa's face had a hint
of character; he always was a naturally quite person.
"I guess it was just good
fortune," Relena glanced at Heero and gave him an evil smile that Trowa
thought was amusingly funny as well.
"Hay, it's hard doing laundry, once I
filled up the whole laundry room up with soap bubbles, mind you I was six at
the time." Quatre had a serious look on his. He was trying to stick up for
Relena, after all he hadn't seen her in quite a while and wanted to make a good
impression. Duo, who Heero had expected to be the loud mouth, was actually just
standing there.
"Sit it Maxwell, we've gone through
everybody else, now, it's your turn to get you kicks in," Heero stared at
Duo expecting him to react to this event in full force but to his surprise as
well as the others he just walked past Heero saying nothing. Heero found this
whole event every annoying; Relena had made him look like a fool. He would make
Relena pay for this later...'Hmmm later' Heero scratched his mind for ideas.
"Come on guys I'm starved lets
eat," Dou headed strait to the kitchen, changing the subject.
<<<<End
Flashback>>>>
"Well Malachite, lets put up a good
race to make this worth while for Heero... Yaw," Relena sat forward out of
the saddle and low over Malachite muscular neck almost disappearing into his
silver mane. In response to Relena's new position on his back Malachite
stretched out, pulling and pushing more grown under him as together they raced
off over the fields of lush green grass.
Not far into the run Relena spotted an old
run down cabin hidden just inside the bushes. It almost seemed invisible, but
once noticed it stuck out. It looked like it had seen better day, the place had
a homey look to it, but age had taken its toll on the outside. She could only
guess what was in the inside.
After chasing after Relena for only about
10 minutes through the more unknown end of the fields her room was evaporating.
Although they had not galloped long, they had covered a great distance, which
would take most of the rest of the day to get back, if they walked the horses.
"LOOKS LIKE YOUR RUNNING OUT OF FIELD
PRINCESS, NOW WERE WILL YOU RUN?" Heero yelled, almost suddenly the field
was quickly coming to a close; Heero smirked at the idea of beating Relena in
this game of cat and mouse.
‘Oh no we’re not, we aren’t giving in yet,’
Relena thought desperately for a new plan of Acton but with Heero right behind
her, she had only one option, strait. This was all new to Relena, she'd never
came to this field before and had no idea what laid behind the bushes beyond
the stone wall that was fast approaching. She steadied Malikit for the ruff
ride head. 3-2-1 and they were lunched into the air over the old stonewall that
enclosed the beautiful mansion acres. Relena ducked even lower over the saddle
to avoid the low branches that threatened to end her ride permanently. Five
maybe six minutes of avoiding low branches, they disappeared reveling a
gorgeous waterfall. Relena had never seen this place before nor had she heard
of it. There was no visible river just a small cave, which the water came
shooting out from. About eleven meters below the cave was a crystal clear pool,
which the water fell vertically into. There was no river for the crystal pool
to empty into. It was just like a fountain, perfect. The pool was littered with
pink lily flowers and had a huge weeping willow tree shaded the far side.
Relena was breath taken by its beauty and memorized by the singing wild birds
that’s song was so pleasurable. She could feel that there was something special
about this place. Heero looked at the waterfall from behind Relena. Reality set
in and Heero remembered that there was a run away princess that needed to be
brought under control. While she was preoccupied with the waterfall he nudged
his horse closer and snapped a pair of handcuff on one of Relena’s wrest, while
the other on his right. Relena realized she wasn’t going anywhere soon and her
ride was over but she didn’t really care. This place was just to inviting to
run away from. She dismounted hoping Heero would let her look around.
"Where do you think your going?"
Heero looked down at her.
"To the water fall, are you
coming?" Relena smiled up at him. He shrugged and dismounted.
"As if I have a choice. These are
Duo's handcuffs, I took them away from him this morning but I hadn’t had time
to take the key too, since you decided to play horsy and run away… You are to
irresponsible when it comes to your safety Relena." Heero’s voice was chilly
and cold.
"Heero if it was up to you and my
brother I'd live in a castle locked in the highest tower away from the world,”
Relena smiled at him, he just shrugged.
"Sounds safe, and if you don't start
acting like the Relena I use to know you will be up there," Heero saw the
hurt in her eyes but didn't care. 'She has to grow up. What happened to her?
She use to be so much smarter then this.' Heero was interrupted from his
thoughts as the chain he had on himself and Relena tightened and she started to
brag him behind her.
"How dare you even think or say the
you, Heero Yuy of all people know who I’m!" Relena hissed still pulling
him along.
'Awch, that kinda hurt. What does she mean
me of all people?' Heero wasn't expecting that kind of a reaction. "So you
mean all this time through the war you, weren't yourself? Then who are you
because I thought I was protecting Relena Peacecraft?" Heero decided the
last thing he needed now was Relena to be mad at him so he thought a little
sarcasm might help his status. Relena stopped and turned to face Heero. She
smiled politely
"Aw, but you were watching Relena
Peacecraft, Mr. Yuy, but I could never be her nor shall I try." Relena
kinda felt bad for snapping at Heero although he did disserve it. No he really
didn’t disserve it. He had been by her side; whether in thought or reality ever
since the day they first met on that beach, o many years ago. She still after
all this time felt that he gave her strength to continue with this fight for
peace. Although Relena hadn’t seen Heero, she still new he was by her side
watching over her through all those conferences and meetings. She new he was
there because she could sense his strength flow through her; when he was
watching silently from the shadows. "I’m sorry Heero, I don’t mean to
anger you by sneaking out for this morning ride. I just didn’t want to wake you
this morning because you looked so peaceful on the couch sleeping along side
the others and I’m sorry for running, but you can trust me, I’m less delicate
then everyone thinks, I’ve seen and been through the war too.” Relena searched
Heero’s eyes for some clue that he understood what she had just said. Basically
saying she was not a porcine doll, and was worthy of his trust.
“It’s not you that I don’t trust you
Relena, it’s the world that I don’t trust.” Heero’s eyes never reflected any of
the words he had just said, but Relena thought she saw a glimmer of hope flash
though once.
“Can we at least just take a look? I'll
probably never get another chance. Millardo told me not to ride over here, I
really don't know why but while we're here can we take a look?" Relena
smile again at Heero, he had on his usual void expression but as one lid curled
to a small smirk position he past Relena to lead the way up the uneven steep
hill side. They had to be careful and take care with each and every step
because the hill was littered with loose rocks and the uneven ground made it
all the more difficult.
The walk was small as the cave got darker
and darker as they walked deeper into the cave only to be disappointed to see
that it ended abruptly with a stonewall that water flowed from under. A funny
looking sundial had bean placed inside the cave in front of the large wall.
Water flowed around it leaving just enough room for Heero and Relena to stand
on either side.
"It's kinda funny, who would put a sun
dial in here? The sun's rays can't even reach this far back into the
cave." Relena placed her hand on top of the dial feeling the inscription
on top. It looked like the Cinq Kingdom’s old symbol scripts long ago forgotten
by its people. Relena took her hand off the dial then spoke the old langue in
English so Heero would understand. “These woods are lovely, dark and deep.
Shell the young pacifist’s hand find its way to its sword to enforce the true
peace.’ What do you suppose that means?” Relena looked at Heero who was still
across from her on the other side of the dial, but got no response.
“Relena,” someone on her right called.
“Relena,” no on her left, and there was
more then just one person, maybe two. Relena looked both ways a little scared
at first as the musical voices called to her. It was somewhere in the cave, but
just out of sight.
“Relena,” the voices called coming a little
closer. Where was it coming from? It sounded so familiar. ‘Those voices, I know
them, but where. Relena closed her eyes listening to the voices that were
calling her name.
>>>>>Flash back in the
past<<<<
“Relena, come on it’s time to practice,
come on sweetie once more,” The voiced figure picked her up and placed her in a
large seat that was inside a small room. It reminded Relena of a small metal
closet. She loved to hid in closets when her and Millie, her brother would play
inside. Relena felt like the seat swallowed her whole as she was buckled in.
Relena looked up at the person outside that was buckling her in. Who was he,
and why does this feel so familiar? She had a hard time remembering him, but he
had a scare on his face that some how Relena new and trusted him for it. He
gently placed a helmet on Relena’s head. All was dark, but Relena was not
afraid, slowly she put her hand on a stick that reached up beside her. The
stick came up and then curved over her, making Relena’s hand face knurls up and
forward. She griped her fingers around it to find four buttons, one for each
finger to control. At the end of the grip stick was another button, this one
for her thumb. Slowly she raised the other hand to find another stick equal to
the one on the other side waiting for her; ready to server her very movement in
a second. The last thing she remembered was hearing the computer in front of
her say, “Zero System Activated.” Lines appeared dancing across her hermits
screen pointing to places and enemies unknown………………….
>>>A little later (still in the
back flash)<<<
Relena walked quietly beside the man that
she had been with all day. They were leaving to somewhere that Relena just
couldn’t place her finger on, she new where they were, but didn’t at the same
time. She was so confused. The walk was long and would have been dark and scary
but large florescent lights lite up most of the dark cave tonal. Soon they came
to the end. There was a large stonewall that blocked their path. At first
Relena was prepared to turn around and walk back, but her friend looked down at
her, smiling and said, “Watch this Miss Relena and Remember this well, for some
day if you must return without me, you will know the way.” The man walked up to
the door and placed his hand in the center of a funny looking sundial; it was
similar to the one Relena had seen with Heero. In a deep strange language the
man said huskily; “These woods are lovely, dark and deep. Shell the young
pacifist’s hand find it’s way to its sword to enforce the true peace.“ He took
his hand off the dial and waited. Seconds later the wall in front of them
started to move up allowing them passage to the other side. On the other side
where more cave greeted them, there was another sundial that was surrounded by
water the seemed to have magically appear from no were. There were no more Florescent
lights to light their way but for some reason the cave was getting lighter.
Relena jumped a little when she heard rumbling from behind her.
“It’s ok, that door is always sounds louder
on this side,” The man soothed her with his voice. Together they walk to the
outside of the cave were a beautiful water fall gushed froth crystal blue
water. “Well what did you think of your first try with the Zero System? You
know you are the first to actually try it, and the first now to master it? You
are this places fallen angel, Relena never forget that.” He smiled proudly at
Relena as if she was his creation/daughter.
“It was easy, and I will never
forget”……………………………………
>>>>End all Flash
backs<<<<
“Relena, are you ok, you’ve just keep
staring at that sundial?” Heero looked at her. He had concern in his eyes but
it soon disappeared when she finally acknowledged his presents again. Relena
hypnotically placed her hand on the sundial then re-spoke the poem, this time
in the old tongue of her land. Heero didn’t understand what she was doing. He’d
never heard this language before. As Relena took her hand off the sundial the
wall in front opened reveling the rest of the tonal she had remembered seeing.
There was cobweb everywhere and the florescent lights no longer worked. It was
very dark and freighting down there now. Heero took out a lighter he had in his
coat pocket. Relena followed as close to Heero as possible without invading his
space. Heero could sense Relena’s fears, it were well justified by this places
mysteries, he thought. This place was very creepy and he thought about many
times taking Relena back to the safety of the mansion. Then he could come back
later, better equipped and alone, but it didn’t seen life treating to Relena it
was just spooky. He stole a quick glance over to see if she was ok. She had a
blank look on her face, but her eyes portrayed her true fears. Heero knew he’d
regret this later but he reached over slightly and held her trembling hand.
Relena looked over at Heero a little shocked by his actions. Not that she
wasn’t grateful, just a little surprised. She didn’t know why she was trembling
so much; the cave was familiar to her. Was it excitement, anticipation?
Soon they came to the end of the tonal
finding a large white door. To their surprise the door was not heavily locked.
It opened into a large white room; to Relena’s joy there were no more cobwebs.
Once Inside they flicked the lights on, founding that they still worked after
who knows how long ago. There where three more doors that lead to places
unknown. The room its self was just a simple white box room with no real
contents except in the far right corner there was a gray over stuffed desk
chair, which sat still in front of a large flat screen computer. The computer’s
keys were very dusty and it’s screen dead. As Relena and Heero entered the room
the monitor suddenly flashed to life reveling a short sentence in brilliant
blue computer text. The text asked for ‘The password’. Relena leaned slightly
over the computer keys and tipped in, ‘Fallen Angel’. As she hit the enter
button, the screen came to a wild new life flashing blue prints of the many
Gundams. The blue prints lined up, one beside the other on the screen. Names
appeared under each blue print; Wing Zero, Deathscythe, Sandrock, Shenlong,
Tallgeese, even the Epyon was up there, but to Heero and Relena’s
alarm there was another suit. Under it was the flashing name ‘Fallen Angel’
blinking on and off. Repeatedly it harassed them with its sheer deadly
beauty. The picture showed neither
color nor size but it was plain as day this was no ordinary suit.
“It’s behind one of those doors isn’t it?”
Relena got strait to the question she never once took her eyes off the suit,
just incase she was hallucinating and it would soon disappear if she looked
away.
“I don’t know,” Heero turned to face the
other three doors in the end of the room. “Come on, lets find out,” his voice
turned cold with his solder training kicking in with just the mention of
another mobile suit. They walked up and faced the doors; each one had a symbol
etched into the paint. “What do they say,” Heero eyed the symbols, It was clear
that he was no longer the Heero he had been more than 20minuts ago. Relena
could feel the same feeling coming over her. She didn’t know how to react, it
was strange, and this place was bringing out a side of her that was so alien
yet familiar and almost a craving in its self.
“Way” Relena said simply. Then went into
deep thought about how this place was so familiar “Heero… I don’t know how I
knew that password… Fallen Angel, that word it’s like a stranger that
you’ve known your whole life, so familiar yet so distant… Heero… I think… I
think, I’ve been here before, when I was little… I’m remembering strange things
that make no sense…” Relena’s voice was barely above a whisper, Heero had to
face her to hear her confession.
“This place is odd. I’ve never heard of it,
nor have I heard of this Fallen Angel, I think Dr. J may know something
about this place but I’ll haft to wait until I get back to the mansion to
inquire… Relena are you sure the symbols say ‘way’… It doesn’t matter, lets
go.” Heero opened the door closest to them and looked in. It looked like a very
expensive training room, complete with a virtual combat simulator.
After a quick tour they tried the other
door, leading them to a small living quarters. Many pictures lined the walls,
all consisting of a small girl in training; shots of her training in the
training room and even more of her playing with an older man that’s face had a
deep scare, just above his left eye.
“Their all of me…” Relena looked blackly at
the pictures. How could this happen to her, there she was constructing guns and
throwing knifes. She wasn’t supposed to do those kinds of things, especially at
that age; she looked no more than two!
Relena found a small study desk in an
adjacent room. She shuffled through the papers horrified to find nothing but
agreement papers to honor some contract that seemed to have been altered in
some fashion. To Relena’s understanding this contract was at first for her to
be what she is now, the leader of peace. The early contract also had in it that
her brother, Millardo, would be the silent ‘enforcer of the peace’ she
provided; but something when wrong and the contact was changed to flex with an
invisible problem that they had encountered. The newest of the contracts she
had found stated that she was to become this ‘enforcer’ and her brother was to
be the ‘Peace Leader’. Relena looked around franticly finding nothing
comforting, just more proof that she was supposed to be this ‘enforcer of the
Peace’.
“This is nuts, my parents were Pacifists,
they could have never intended for me to be this!!!!” Relena shudder to think
that all she had worked for was not true. If the pictures were not convincing
enough, then the singed documents that practically gave Dr. I complete custody
over Relena’s life was. All she had worked for was a lie. She was never
intended to be the ‘Dove of Peace’ but more the ‘enforce’. As Relena and Heero
read more and more they found no answers to the question ‘why’. It was shrouded
in mist; until Heero spoke up Reading a couple of passages form a Dr. I’s
Journal.
“My contribution to ‘Mission Meter’ has
failed. I have failed because Fallen Angel the monarch of all Gunduim weapons will
not except it’s pilot. Yes, it is true it will not accept the young Millardo
Peacecraft as it’s pilot. It is too difficult to explain but the problem lies
in its Zero System or shall I say its Angel System. The Angel System is much
stronger then the prototype, Zero System I was sent from Dr. J; My partner in
the development of this machine. The Angel system is so advanced that it has
looked deep into the future and programmed it-self to fit it’s chosen pilot. I
have no say in the matter, and re-programming is out of the question. The only
clue it has given to me is that this pilot is of Peacecraft blood but no time
frame was given. Is this pilot to be born tomorrow, next week, or a
thousand years into the future? My only hope is the un-born child that sleeps
innocently in Mrs. Peacecraft’s womb presently, is this pilot.
If this child is the chosen pilot then the
Peacecraft’s agreement and mine must be reverted. Millardo will become the
leader of Peace instead of instead of the enforcer; and this child that is soon
to be born will be the enforcer of peace instead of the Peace Leader.
But I can only sit and wonder why? When did
the machines take control of their own destiny?” Heero read quietly through a few more pages then starts again.
“Lady luck that is what she is, Lady Luck.
The newly born child of the Peacecraft’s, Relena, is Angels chosen pilot.
It was amazing to see Mr. Peacecraft cradle
the small child in front of Fallen Angel, then to witness the small girl almost
instinctively reached out to Angels blue Seeing Eye crystal; the crystal under
her tiny hand lite up, waves of light washing over her. After that I knew she
was to be Fallen Angle’s Pilot!” Heero
read on telling the Doctors tale. The Doctor went in great detail about
Relena’s training, even though she so young, her training was intense, even to
Heero’s opinion. The last thing in his Journal told about a deadly
assassination attempt to destroy all the Peacecraft’s, but they had failed. Two
young children had survived although they had to be separated and had simply
disappeared out of his grasp. They had survived and that’s all that mattered
for now.
“My only hope is that Dr. J will be able to find Miss. Relena and her brother, Millardo. Although he does not know the location of this base, somewhere in Relena’s mind lies her training and her Angel’s location, then he can re-awake all my work that lays silently asleep in Relena. She will win the Peace. As for me I must leave this world to ensure that there is no leaks that may have the chance to destroy the peace to come.
‘Relena if and when you find this place, become this enforcer. You can hold the peace as long as you have Angel. And remember, peace that is won through the tongue is short and bitter, peace that is won through iron yet a fair fist will live forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Bye my Princess.
Yours Truly
I”
Heero looked Relena up
and down. It was strange to think of his princess as a weapon like himself. The
more he thought about it the angrier he got. To Heero’s surprise Relena seemed
relatively calm with this. Maybe deep down she new…
“Lets try the other
door,” Relena broke the long and acquired silence, which seemed to have settled
in the room. With a simple nod from Heero they left the room, not asking any
more questions.
The third door led down
what seemed like an endless amount of stairs. The silence once again floated
in, absorbing the two whole. Relena could not get her mind of what the Doctor
had written. It was hard for her to think that all she had worked so hard for
wasn’t meant for her to have achieved in the beginning. It was to be her
brother’s job not hers. All this information was new to Relena; she couldn’t
help but feel a sense of relief though. This whole time she been trying to
follow her father’s path to total Pacifism, and it wasn’t what he wanted her to
do. No he wanted her to be this ‘enforcer.’ The idea seemed scary and out of
principle, but she liked it. Perhaps, that’s why she had followed Heero, all
those years ago. His skills intrigued her and his strength fueled her. But was
she droned to him though the part of her that wished to become this ‘enforcer’
or was it just a schoolgirl crush, maybe both? It seemed with the doctor’s
words a great burden had been lifted. The burden was to be her brothers now.
But would he accept it? After the war he had started to help her with this
burden, named peace, he never only played background parts. He had helped more
for Relena, to have some relief. Noin had convinced him finally to work on the
‘Life on Mars’ plan and he reluctantly agreed. He always said he could not; his
hands are to stained with blood to lead to total Pacifism. ‘Did he know about
this place, is that why he asked me not to ride over here? Was he try to keep
this away from me; my destiny?’ But Relena new the real question was what would
she do with this new destiny; would she follow her pre-chosen destiny that
seemed to be calling to her or abandon it and forget she ever considered it?
There it was her Angel.
Towering above them was a white Gundam. It had angelic wings like it’s cousin,
Wing Zero, and looked all-round like the Wing Zero. The only different lay in
its Seeing Eye crystal that sat proudly on its chest blowing an opal blue.
Together Heero and Relena
inspected Angel finding its technology was only slightly different from Wing
Zero’s. The difference was small but pronounced in that everything on Angel was
stronger and more advanced.
Heero was intrigued as he
went through the machine, now knowing what the doctor had meant by it being
perfect. Leaving Relena behind him, Heero confronted Angel wanting to look at
its cockpit. The same as Wing Zero he placed his hand on a large hand sized
blue crystal disk; which would command Angel to open her entry hatch. Light
like the doctor had described washed over Heero’s hand, but instead of blue the
light and disk had turned red under his touch. There was a bright flash and
Heero went flying backwards, falling back onto the plat form just underneath
were he had been standing. Relena rushed around from behind Angel. She had seen
the flash and rushed around to see what had happened, only to found Heero
starting to sitting up, shacking his head a couple times in shock to what just
happened. He seemed all right just a brushed rep as he found his vision to see
Relena giggling at him.
“I’m sorry Heero. Are you
ok? I saw the light and…” A couple more giggles escaped, giving Heero the
understanding that she wasn’t that sorry. Heero then looked at his hands
finding that he was drenched in something. He was covered in a blue gel like
solution. It was not harmful, but it was sticky. He got up and walked up to
Relena who was still trying not to giggle behind one hand. “I’m sorry Heero…
hmm,” Relena cleared her throat getting out the last giggle.
Without any warning Heero
reached up and planted a big gob of the sticky blue gel on Relena’s cheek. She
frosts in shock as the blue gouge stick to her cheek. Relena was in enough
shock that Heero would even do this to her!
“Ewe, why did you do
that?” Relena stood there, her hands frozen to her side, as she tried to eye
the stuff now dripping down her cheek.
“Blues your color.” Heero
gave a small smirk as Relena now eyed him in shock.
“Thanks,” Relena said
plainly as she tried to pull the sticky gel off her face.
“Here, let me help you
with that,” before Relena could object Heero plastid more blue stuff on her
face and all over her hands.
“Oh Heero, nooo.” Relena
trying to push Heero way, forgot about the step just below her as she tried to
fend off Heero, haft slipping and falling she grabbed for Heero who was still
in front of her. She fell into him arms, getting her entire body covered in the
blue gel. She couldn’t help but freak as she was covered in the blue gel. She
tried to push away franticly but Heero grabbed hold. He grabbed her around her waist rendering her, his prisoner. He
picked Relena up in his arms as she continued to protest. He walked a short
distance before putting her down. Relena made a brake for it but was stopped as
Heero’s arms straddled her around the waist once again. He held her against his
chest leaving her no options but to stay put. She slowly opened her eyes to see
that she was facing Fallen Angels Entry hatch.
“Place your hand on the
blue disk,” Heero spoke gently to Relena, resting his head on hers in a
comforting matter. She was much shorting then him now and he over powered her
10-1. She looked up at him with questioning eyes, but as she looked into his
deep blue eyes, she placed her hand on the disk. Feeling something warm fall
over her hand Relena looked to see blue light wash over her. The warmth that
she could feel started on the inside, as it slowly expanded enveloping Heero as
well as Relena. The light disappeared taking the blue gel with it. The cockpit
door opened reveling a single flight chair. It was surrounded with many
computer buttons. As they both stuck their heads in a computer voice spoke,
“Welcome Miss. Relena, and Heero Yuy… I am the artificial brain of Fallen
Angel, Gundam number secret 01, modeled after Gundam custom Wing 01. Doctor?
has put in a temporary recovery system to help Miss. Relena remember her
training. Would you like to do this now Miss. Relena? Or would you like me to
contact Dr. J, to assist you? What would you like…” Relena looked you at Heero.
“Should I?” Relena looked
at Heero with pleading eyes. Deep down she wanted to but was it the right
chose? If she remembered all she had forgotten, then she’d haft to give up
Peacekeeping.
“The decision is yours,
it is not my place to make decisions for you,” Heero released Relena as soldier
training kicked in. Relena looked at the chair and backed away.
“No, it is unnecessary
for me to remember at this time. If another war brakes out and Angel is needed
I will come back.” Relena turned back to Angel and placed her hand on the blue
disk once more.
“Very well Miss. Relena,
until I am needed shell you decide your future; a very wise chouse.” The
computer voices disappeared and as Relena and Heero stepped off it’s hatch, it
closed sealing it shut.
A little later, Heero and
Relena where once again walking through the dark and spooky tonal, Heero lite
the way with his small pocket lighter. They came up to the large rock wall
where the sundial waited for their return. Relena placed her hand in the
center, and spoke the old language once again. The wall floated up, letting
them pass. Once outside they were greeted with more darkness. They had lost
track of time, and the warm sun was just setting leaving a bitter cold wind in
its place. The view was breath taking, latterly. Relena’s breathe caught up in
her lungs refusing to exit into the chilly air. The wind had picked up
dramatically from the morning and had child the tropic atmosphere to well below
freezing. Together they almost had to repel down the now icy hill. The horses
had long gone back to the stable to find their meals. Relena wondered if anyone
was looking for them. She suddenly felt guilt; the others could be out
searching for them in this frigid climate worried that something had happened
to them.
Heero focused on the
situation at hand. Their walk home would be long and he doubted if they would
get back before dinner. Together, Heero and Relena walked back silent; it was
to cold to waste their inner heat. Relena looked up from the ground to see
Heero, sturdy like a tree he didn’t look very cold but his pink cheeks and
slightly trembling hands portrayed his true vulnerable human side. Relena new
they wouldn’t be able to make it back if they kept on like this. They had just
a little while ago past the old stonewall out of the forest. They’d never make
it back to the mansion at this rate. She had to think fast; was there anything
they could use to get away from the cold that was tarring at her bear
shoulders? Relena looked around desperately, looking for anything but she found
nothing as they walked. The cold now catching in her throat she was ready to
give up and concentrate on making herself warmer. Relena looked up one more time just to satisfy she determined
spirit. She stopped dead, THE CABIN. She had forgotten all about it! Relena
picked up the pace, passing Heero which caused him to look up. He saw nothing
but followed close behind, as to not lose her. As they neared Heero caught sit
of the old cabin as well. They ran around to the front of the cabin to find a
barricaded entrance. Relena grabbed at everything desperately pulling the
rotting wood back. Heero joined in and they soon cleared the entrance. They
walked in locking the old door shut. Heero lite his liter finding that there
was an old classic styled heat lamp, the kind they used back before Colonies.
It had obviously been made after Colonies but they were still rare and to
Relena’s joy still worked. The lamp was still full of oil and soon warmed up
the small cabin. On closer inspection there were no rooms in the cabin, just a
small table with dangerously rickety set of chairs, kitchen area, a larger bed
that was tucked in front of the fireplace, and another door that lead to an
outside bathroom. Relena wondered if anyone lived here but as she looked around
she found no evidence to anyone have been here for a long time. Everything in
the cabin was in good shape, except the chairs that were by the maple table.
The rest of the evening
went by slowly. Heero had just returned with wood to light the fireplace, to
conserve oil. Relena had cleaned everything off and found some old canned
products in the single cabinet for them to eat. She had remade the bed with
some of the clean sheets she had found underneath it, in plastic bags. Relena
was impressed by who ever had last been to this old cabin. Who ever it had
been, had taken care to prepare for others.
Soon the fire was roaring
and the cabin filled with a sense of life. It seemed to enjoy the company in
it. Relena sat on the bed in front of the fire, warming her frosty toes.
“You know, this could
count as my first camping trip.” Relena broke the ice that had settled between
her and Heero. He was staring out the window at the strange weather. He turned
and sat beside her on the bed. Relena took a deep breath then relaxed. The cabin
just seemed to have a calming effect on her. “Heero what do you think about
Fallen Angle?” She watched him from the corner of her eye waiting to see his
thoughts.
“It doesn’t matter what I
think about it, but the best course of action would be to contact Dr. J, and
ask him about this Dr. I and the Gundam. I’d like him to see the Gundam too.
Hopefully he can answer some of our questions. One pacifically, being the
reason why the Gundam chose you and not your brother as it’s pilot. Millardo
has proven to be an expert Gundam pilot with Tallgeese. Didn’t this Gundam see
it or was it not good enough?” Heero once again got up, this time grabbing the
extra sheet that Relena had placed at the end of the bed. He draped it over the
chair then sat down into it. He crossed his arms over his chest then shut his
eyes to find rest. Relena looked at him oddly.
“I hope your comfortable
Heero,” Relena gave him a funny look before lying back on the bed. He opened an
eye to look at her single body taking up the double bed.
“It’s either this or your
brother, and I don’t feel like dealing with two Peacecraft’s with Gundams,”
Heero smirked at Relena. She thought about his words then turned on her stomach
to face Him. Her surroundings seemed to melt way as she re-pictured ‘her’ Gundam,
Fallen Angel.
“Hm, my Gundam, I like
the sound to that,” Relena seemed to zone out thinking about the Gundam
happily. Heero stared at Relena not quite sure what to say, he was a little
taken aback by her words, but found it humorous. Relena suddenly seemed to snap
to attention realizing what she had just said. “Aw,” Relena looked at Heero
trying to think of an explanation to why a total pacifist girl like herself
would say she was happy to have a weapon. She smiled evilly at Heero then
turned onto her back looking once again at the ceiling. Heero couldn’t help but
chuckle at Relena’s Evilly look. The cute little devilish look suited her. It
was something he’d never seen from her; he liked it.
Relena rolled off the
bed. Taking out the two braids that held her hair back, she faced away from
Heero, giving him a strange mean glare over her shoulder. She received, to her
opinion, a humorous confused look from Heero, how wasn’t sure what she was
doing. Relena then started undoing her warm button up riding vest. She pulled
it off, reviling her almost totally bare shoulders. Heero’s eyes widened, as
she slowly reviled a small well-fitted white tank top. He could just see the
twin spaghetti straps under her newly crimped hair. He quickly looked away when
she started taking off her black riding pants. Hidden under Relena’s riding
pants was a deep navy blue pair of spandex shorts; similar to Heero’s Ex-black
ones. They were not as long, only coming down mid-thigh. Relena was surprised
when she turned around to see Heero looking away, blushing slightly.
“Hay, I never blushed
when I saw you in them,” Relena smiled at Heero who was now giving her a third
degree death stare.
Relena climbed under the
warm covers. She glanced over at Heero how had shut his eyes trying to find
sleep on his old rickety chair. He leaned back, slouching a little in the chair
as it jabbed him in the back. Relena shut her eyes, feeling bad that Heero had
to sleep in that old chair… “Crash” There was a loud crash and Relena
immediately sat up in the bed. She looked over at Heero how was now rubbing his
head. Bits of chair littered the floor around him. Relena giggled at the sight.
“Heero get over here. I
promise I’ll fend off Millardo,” Relena looked at him as he stood up. More bits
of wood falling off him, Heero stood there looking at the bed with Relena in
it. Heero was debating whither or not to clime in. Relena shook her head
‘pathetic’ she thought, as she climbed out of bed and walked over to Heero.
“Come on,” Relena grabbed his hand and pulled him out of thought. Before Heero
could protest she shoved him on top of the bed. She walked around to the other
side and climbed in under the covers. Soon, all of the day’s events caught up
with Relena and she shut her eyes not to re-wake. Heero was unsure as to how to
react to this! But at lest the bed was better then that old chair.
