Relena was sitting next to Noin on the fountain. She was looking at her colorful variety of flowers. The trees were planted spontaneously around, so it gave the garden a most beautiful, comfortable, and safe feel. Relena loved coming out here on beautiful days. It reminded her of a picture being painted. Like everything was right in the world. But of course, it wasn't.

"Relena, your having a birthday party soon." Relena would be turning 21 in a week and she invited everyone who was special to her. " Yes, I am." She answered urging Noin to continue.

"Would you like to hear who is coming?" Noin questioned nervously. She hated to be the one who set things up. But it was for Relena's own good. ' It was my duty to get her out here. Now that I have, everyone else can commence their part of the operation. But I do have something to tell her.'

" *sigh* Ok. Of course Zechs and I shall be coming, Duo and Hilde, Trowa and Catherine (not siblings!), Quatre and his "new mistress", Wufei and Sally, and I'm afraid Lady Une and Miss Mariameia will not be able to join you. They will be on a trip that they both have been waiting for. Lady Unn sends her deepest apologies. Oh and..." Noin was interrupted as Relena broke in.

" I don't think that's the reason you brought me out here, Noin. What's going on? What's the matter? You know you can tell me anything." Relena questioned concern written all over her face.

" Rele, it's nothing to worry about, but I'm...uhm...pregnant!" Noin finished proudly.

" *squeal of delight* Oh my goodness! That's wonderful, Noin! When... How long? Does Milliardo know yet?" Relena questioned rapidly, clearly excited for her sister-in-law.

" Whoa! Slow down. Two months and no, Ze-I mean Milliardo, doesn't know yet." ' I almost slipped.' Noin though nervously.

Relena however paid no mind to it. She just questioned a little further. " When will you tell him? And one more thing, what were you going to say before I rudely interrupted you?"

" I'll tell him tonight at our dinner "party for two". We are staying home though, so I would like you to join us." Noin smiled but then it quickly faded as she answered the rest of the question. " Uhm, Relena..." She trailed off.

Relena's heart was racing. She knew the news was about Heero. She always got a weird feeling when things were about to happen or be talked about Heero. She waited anxiously for Noin to continue, but before she did, " No, Miss Noin, you and my brother shall be dining alone tonight. I will not intrude on your moment."

" Oh Relena." She took a deep breath because now she had to lie to her friend. " Relena, Heero will not be able to come to your party. There is a very important mission he will be on. I'm sorry." She cast her eyes down. She hated lying to Relena.

" Don't get upset over that little thing. You have a very special evening ahead of you. Don't feel guilty or bad, I don't." She lied. She didn't want her friend and sister-in-law to be upset on such a happy occasion.

Noin smiled and said, " Well, I'm going inside to get ready for tonight. Would you like to come and help?" She new Relena would say no. Her thoughts were correct as Relena answered her, " No, thank you. I think I will enjoy the days air for a while." Relena smiled and Noin walked off with one thought, ' You won't be enjoying the day after...' She didn't want to finish the thought. So she cleared her mind and quickened her pace.

It was getting dark and Relena stood up to look at the moon. She tried to think but, ' It's hopeless to try and think when a guy is in your head.' She thought 1/2 sarcastically, 1/2 truthfully. Giving up she spoke aloud,

" Heero, where are you? Why do you always leave, especially without saying good-bye? You know how much I worry for you." She said to the nights crisp air.

" You shouldn't. I'm hear. And I don't say good-bye because I know I'll see you again." replied a monotone voice.

Relena nearly jumped outa her sockets when she turned around to be face to face with the one and only Heero Yuy. "Heero? How'd you find me here? What are you doing here? Where have you been all this time? On second thought, How have you been?" For the second time that night, she fired questions that would probably not be answered.

" Fine. Here. Looking for you, and Noin told me." He replied with a smirk playing on his lips.

" You've been here for three years? I sent you..." She was cut off when Heero jumped in, "I got everything. Come with me for a walk?"

It was a question not a statement. Also it was the second time tonight Relena was surprised. She was also taken aback by Heero's request to walk. Sine she was too dumb-struck to reply, she nodded her head yes.

~~~~It was a quiet, but for once, peaceful walk to the beach. Relena walked up to the ocean and let the waves crash on top of her now bare feet. Heero lightly tapped Relena's shoulder and she turned around and saw in Heero's eyes, that he was confused, hurt, and upset about something.

" Relena, I have to go away for a while. But everything inside me is telling me not to go."

"Then why did you even come? Why are you telling me this if you already decided you are leaving? I cannot change your mind if it is already set on its goal. All I can do is believe in you and know that you'll be alright. Just like I have been doing for three years. How long will you be gone?" She finished with no emotion showing at all.

" I came because I might not return. I wanted to tell you good-bye. Good-bye, Relena." Heero turned but stiffened as he noticed the familiar gleam of a gun. They were all around. Blocking every exit. It was too late. They had come to him, instead of he come to them.

Da da DA! What shall happen to our favorite couple??? I don't know yet! **Looks away embarrassed** I changed the entire chapter. Looks like the plot will come sooner than I thought! Sorry for everything going slow, I guess that's how I write! Gomen, gomen! Comments please! Should I continue? ~L.A.~
